Mirby
Thanks to djmokram for bringing this to my attention. Move this if it needs to be moved. Check this out. The site "legal sounds" is selling three OCR albums. Now, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that go against our very own Terms of Use as outlined in the Content Policy? I've already sent them an email, but if they ignore that, I figured I'd bring it to the attention of everyone here. Just in case.

Matt E. Waldman
I recall these same guys were selling the NiGHTS: Lucid Dreaming album months back. After we all sent them angry emails, they took down the album.
DjStriker
Too bad SOPA didnt pass.. not to be harsh but this album wouldn't exist if it had passed....
Mirby
I recall these same guys were selling the NiGHTS: Lucid Dreaming album months back. After we all sent them angry emails, they took down the album. I think the whole site needs to go down. With these three albums, it shows that they don't give a damn about the Terms of Use. They just want to make money, regardless of the method.
Gario
Wow holy shit my music is worth more than it ever has been before! 9 cents!!! I'm kind of flattered, actually. It still doesn't justify it in the least, but seeing a price tag on my music is actually kind of cool... ... now that I'm done geeking out about that, yeah that's kind of fucked up. Jason Covenant
From the website's Legal Info page: All the materials in the LegalSounds.com music service are available for distribution via Internet according to license ЛС-3М-05-09 of the Russian Multimedia and Internet Society. Under the license agreement, Legalsounds.com pays license fees for all the materials subject to the Law of the Russian Federation "On Copyright and Related Rights". All the materials are available solely for personal use. Further distribution, resale or broadcasting is prohibited. So artists, have you received those checks yet? You are granted no right to copy, distribute or use them otherwise without the prior written consent of the respective owners. Oh the irony... P.S. Nice work DjMokram for bringing this to attention. Mirby
I cant imagine to many people actually buying from that site. Why buy what you can legally get for free?
EC2151
putting a sarcasm marker in your post ruins the point of being sarcastic. So much more fun when people think you're serious. Also, I l o l'd when I saw that the website is operating under Russian law. To quote M. Bison... OF COURSE!
Benjamin Briggs
yeah, same guys that sold the NiGHTS album. they're actually also selling my own original music, as well as Danny B's super meat boy soundtrack(s): http://www.legalsounds.com/search?pattern=benjamin+briggs&0.15.1.3.7.3.x=0&0.15.1.3.7.3.y=0&WOSubmitAction=search fuckin assholes
Mirby
So basically, they're selling a crapton of music that can easily be found for free. And legally free too, no piracy required. This is both bad business sense and stupid.
