Meteo Xavier
http://www.polygon.com/2013/4/17/4234398/the-legend-of-zelda-link-to-the-past-sequel-coming-to-nintendo-3ds This is the first Zelda in years I've actually wanted to play more than any other. ***damn, I've seen some other pictures of it posted already and it looks fantabulous. Also, this: http://www.vg247.com/2013/04/17/nintendo-direct-us-and-uk-announcements-incoming/.
Couchpotatodx
Can't wait, it looks pretty cool. The fusing with the wall thing is interesting.
ad.mixx
Oh my gosh. Earthbound being rereleased. Oh man oh man oh man oh man. Life is love. And alttp2 sounds freaking awesome. Can't wait to see the pictures at home.
Lemonectric
Set in the world of LttP? Meh. Moving around on the wall? Awesome. Oh...and the fact that they're making a big deal about the 3D effect for perceiving height suggests to me that Phantom Hourglass-style touch controls are out. Meteo Xavier
Set in the world of LttP? Meh. That was the best Zelda world ever, you potato.
Lemonectric
That was the best Zelda world ever, you potato. My point being that we've already seen it. Watching a second time. Arrows and hammer seem to use magic, which slowly refills itself. No indication that Link has a physical collection of arrows. Interesting. Could be on the lower screen, I guess. ectogemia
Gotta agree with HL here. I LOVEEEEEEee LTTP so much, but I'm not really a fan of remakes. I want new shit that is just as awesome as the old shit, not new shit that actually is the old shit. edit: Woop, just finished watching the preview. Yeah, this looks very different from LTTP. AND THAT'S AWESOME. Edited April 17, 2013 by ectogemia
Meteo Xavier
Yeah I was wondering what you're talking about. This isn't a remake, it's an actual sequel.
Modus
I never played LttP so this will be doubly novel for me. Really today's whole Nintendo Direct had my brains blowing out left and right.
DarkeSword
Is this thread about the new Zelda game or is it about Earthbound being re-released? Should be about one or the other. Please edit accordingly.
Meteo Xavier
Since both are equally big news for Nintendo fans, can I edit the thread to put the focus on Nintendo's announcements today so that both games, and more, can be featured as opposed to focusing on one or the other? I don't mind editing the thread to focus on Zelda, I just wonder if that was a possibility.
Ptazza
Personally I think you should just make it a thread for this big Nintendo Direct. So many new releases coming THIS year that are amazing and some are actually really close. Hell the Zelda Oracle games are apparently hitting Eshop at the end of the month. It's impressive they kept so much underwraps, guess this makes up for quiet E3.
Pika22
Wow... Now just announce a 3DS Golden Sun game and I'll be VERY happy.

Gollgagh
What The Fuck not everyone was so fortunate as to own (or know someone who owns) an SNES
ectogemia
not everyone was so fortunate as to own (or know someone who owns) an SNES #1 reason Science needs to invent a time machine.
Ptazza
Wow... Now just announce a 3DS Golden Sun game and I'll be VERY happy. They did leave us hanging on after the cliffhanger in Dark Dawn. Though if they do make another one they really need to fix the character development in it.
Modus
I never even saw a SNES in person until this last MAGfest. All my old friends had Genesis, then Playstation, then PS2. One friend had an N64 but only to play GoldenEye. I was the weird kid who played Nintendo for something other than Pokemon. Also, LttP was released in '91 when I was 1 years old. Because we both forgot to wear our neon signs flashing our forum names. I knew I forgot something.
Annie Felis
I hope that structurally it's a lot like A Link to the Past and not like the more recent Zeldas where they have you revisit the same few temples/places over and over. I'm interested, but only if it's not a Phantom Hourglass clone. Earthbound though, hell yeah. If Nintendo wants to keep porting older titles to 3DS, I'm cool with that. Here's hoping for a Super Metroid port.
Raziellink
Well, i've put buying a 3DS off long enough. Time to buy one.
Meteo Xavier
#1 reason Science needs to invent a time machine. We have after-market SNES machines already, there is no need to invoke causality on humanity for that.
Dj Mokram
I'm interested, but only if it's not a Phantom Hourglass clone.^ This, 100%. Nintendo has one job: making LttP2 look, play and feel like LttP. Sanitized polygons and horrible controls be damned. :3Here's hoping for a proper new 2D Metroid. Fixed.
