Theory of N
I'm also starting to see a pattern in these updates. I think they're trying to get some info on every aspect of the game in first so I'm expecting some news on game modes tomorrow.
mister_pup
In that second picture of the Gooey Bomb entry, Mario is looking back as he's running away this picture is hilarious to me for some reason. mario has this look like he's thinking, "ha, what you gonna do now, bitch?" as he's running off. Wario got stuck by Mario.

SwordBreaker
Love that Gooey bomb. An innovative and original weapon for Brawl. I wonder which game is it inspired from? It does look a bit like Morpheel/Amoeba from the Zelda series, and I do remember "Gooey" being Kirby's sidekick in Dreamland 3 for SNES.
Arek the Absolute
original - no innovative - so so which game is it inspired from? anything that uses proxy mines and/or halo
Tael
which game is it inspired from? anything that uses proxy mines and/or haloShadow Warrior had sticky bombs, Perfect Dark's mines stuck to people, and Red Faction's remote charge could be attached to people. The idea was common before Halo made it famous.
Arek the Absolute
wow, you did a great job on noticing that i said anything that uses proxy mines which was BEFORE the halo remark nice selective reading there buddy
Theory of N
I love the way the thing looks. It doesn't look like a glitchy ball inside of Wario (like in Melee, if you got two characters really close, how they're inside each other.) It looks like there's actually something there. Tael
wow, you did a great job on noticing that i said anything that uses proxy mines which was BEFORE the halo remarknice selective reading there buddy Except I gave examples that weren't simply proximity mines. Perfect Dark had timed and remote mines that stuck, and Red Faction's remote charge was remotely-detonated.
Ninja-san
The Gooey bomb looks really distrubing to me...
!Nekko!
I wonder if they will have the character's follow each other's movements with their heads (kinda like Mario looking back). Just an aesthetic detail, but I would think it would add a little more life to the fighters.
Sir_NutS
nice new item. I can see myself kamikazing into players with high damage after some of the sticky-bombed my ass. Fun times.
Strati
halo weapons meets smashbros Oh, come on, Halo totally ripped Smash Bros's Beam Sword off with the Plasma Sword.
Geoffrey Taucer
Oh, come on, Halo totally ripped Smash Bros's Beam Sword off with the Plasma Sword. That was a joke, right? I mean, since both ripped off star wars?
!Nekko!
Quit griping about who took what from where and think of the possibilities! I could see this goo bomb being a fun game of keep away. I remember an item in Gauntlet Legends where you became IT and it was just a game of tag with the other players. I don't think it actually did anything, but it was pretty entertaining being announced who was it. I'm a pretty reckless and suicidal player when I play smash, so I could see myself having a LOT of fun with this.
Theory of N
Quit griping about who took what from where and think of the possibilities! You could play terrorist with it. Stick one on yourself and enter any large well-known landmark and/or public building screaming "JIHAD AMERICA".
Dark Chocobo
You could play terrorist with it. Stick one on yourself and enter any large well-known landmark and/or public building screaming "JIHAD AMERICA". Considering I used to do that with standard bob-ombs, I now have a new toy to play with. Or imagine throwing it at someone trying to reach the edge. "I made it! Hey, what's that thing stuck to BLAM!! *death sound*"

Penfold
Cool. I'm enjoying this daily update thing, even when they are pretty small updates. So after playing many an hour of Punch-Out!!, I decided I'd really like to at least see a cameo of Little Mac in Brawl (in the background of a stage would even be cool). Geoffrey Taucer
If their "daily updates" consist of telling us about 1 item or character each day, they could drag it out pretty long without telling us anything interesting.
