Dafydd Posted November 24, 2006 Posted November 24, 2006 This post still needs some more cleanup. Welcome to the Mega Man 4 Remix Project Guidelines and info: Several source tunes may be combined in one mix. Include one or several of the jingles if you can. Make a remix of only jingles if you want. You may claim songs that are already taken, even finished ones. There are no deadlines. Yet. There are no genre restrictions. Ask for collabs! Want to join? Audition by posting a link to your wip of the track you want to remix either directly in this thread or in a PM and I will decide if you're good enough. Once you're on the project, I will send you login instructions for the project's secret FTP on a secret url with a secret login and secret password where we will secretly store both the wips and the finished mixes, in secret. Don't spread the secret login and secret password or the secret url to people outside the project, not even in secret. Cerrax used to run an ftp for us, but now he's ignoring me, so I don't have access to the old wips anymore, nor the old finished mixes. Feel free to contact me (MSN: dafydd at live dot se) if you need any help with feedback on your wip. If you feel you need more feedback, contact other people within the project. Wips may be discussed openly here in this thread, but no links to the wips may be posted - refer to the ftp. The NSF soundtrack can be downloaded from here: . GaMeBoX Posted November 26, 2006 Posted November 26, 2006 Hehehehe.... Quess what.... My account is working again... talk about timing...
Dafydd Posted November 26, 2006 Author Posted November 26, 2006 lol Well, we kinda needed a fresh start anyway. EDIT: Even though this is kinda too fresh...
Vurez Posted November 27, 2006 Posted November 27, 2006 Pharaohman's theme is available again? Hmmm...
Dafydd Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006 Yeah. You want it? ... what happened to the Boss music, was that in your BrightMan mix, or have you just not done it yet?
Vurez Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 A while back, I mentioned I had to drop the boss music as I was getting very busy with a huge personal project that needed to get done and I didn't have time to do it. The PharaohMan theme, on the other hand, is the track I wanted to do from the very beginning of the project (even before that too). I'd be willing to move the other things on my schedule around for this track.
Dafydd Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006 Then you can have it. Of course, you always could - you should read the guidelines more closely Anyway, I'll sign you up for it. I've updated my mix a little and uploaded it (just to show you I'm actually doing something... haha)
washudoll Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 Iam considering on doing Cossack stage 3-4 since iam currently working on it. Check Cerrax's FTP for the WIP Finalboss theme is almost finished but i put a hold on it for a while.
GaMeBoX Posted November 28, 2006 Posted November 28, 2006 I am also considering that one, and/or ending theme, i will probably drop toadman, well see.. I will be very buzy now for 2 weeks, then im free for the winter...
Dafydd Posted November 28, 2006 Author Posted November 28, 2006 I think you'd be better off doing the ending theme, Steve. That one absolutely needs live guitars or it's going to suck. Washudoll can take Cossack 3-4.
jmr Posted November 30, 2006 Posted November 30, 2006 Just stopping by to say that I haven't forgotten about my track. I've just been completely bogged down with school, and I will continue to be until about the middle of December (due to damn final exams). However, I plan on finishing the remix when I'm home for Christmas break. I've already got a few changes in mind, and Random Hero has a few ideas that I'd like to incorporate as well.
Sora Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 Glad to see it's back up. I've finished my track the way I want it, but I'll post it later so people can critique it.
Foxhull Posted December 2, 2006 Posted December 2, 2006 I'm interested, but I have a composition and performance audition deadline about a week after the New Year, and two AP classes and Accelerated Physics. So maybe after Christmas.
Dafydd Posted December 2, 2006 Author Posted December 2, 2006 We'll probably still have positions open by then. Most people who join projects quit after a while, so remember you can pick songs that someone else has already claimed, since people dropping out is a rule rather than an exception, it seems. I doubt GaMeBoX or Vurez will fail to complete their songs, though.
Chickenwarlord Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 I'm interested in helping out, but I have another project to finish beforehand. Once I finish that I'll check back and see if you still need help.
Dafydd Posted December 4, 2006 Author Posted December 4, 2006 We probably will, but it's better if you don't make any promises until you have time, or it'll look like we don't need any more people (which we do). So check back when you're done. Guitars on Cossack Stages 3-4 ftw. True, but it's nowhere near as important as it is for the other one.
GaMeBoX Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 I will try to record some live guitars then for this one... Its sure to be bluesy as hell.. But, i dunno if you knew, but i have never had any live guitars in any of my previous stuff except for home recordings... so, what youve heard so far is pure synthwork (with guitar samples in some cases)...
Absolute Zero Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Okay. I'm not a ReMixer, but if there's any other way I can help with this project (I doubt it, but I want to offer), I'd like to. I've been a huge fan of Mega Man since I was four, and I've been waiting for OCR to host a project.

Well, you recently told me you play the guitar, so I'm expecting you to Doesn't really matter if it's synthwork if it's good. Okay. I've been a huge fan of Mega Man since I was four, and I've been waiting for OCR to host a project. We'll need someone who can set up a nice website for the project eventually, and also, cover art and the likes. Maybe you could help with something like that? By the looks of it, we'll also need someone who can suggest people we should try to recruit - I don't have time, and am open to suggestions.
Bundeslang Posted December 7, 2006 Posted December 7, 2006 Okay. I'm not a ReMixer, but if there's any other way I can help with this project (I doubt it, but I want to offer), I'd like to. leepmeister Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 I'd be interested in taking on either Dive Man or Toad Man . I'll play around with them a little and figure out which it will be (or maybe decide to try mixing them together...) Yeah I'm kinda new around here but I have a pretty far-along WIP for Bowser on the Crescendo to Chaos thread, for a sample of quality. http://www.personal.utulsa.edu/~adam-leeper/mp3/BowserWIP3.mp3 Are we looking more for rock or techno on this project?
Dafydd Posted December 12, 2006 Author Posted December 12, 2006 You're on. Take either one. I don't really care much whether we do rock or techno, myself.
GaMeBoX Posted December 12, 2006 Posted December 12, 2006 The thought initially, was that this project was about to show off your own particular style/sound, so go with the style you want.
