JoeFu
It's still a Paper Mario game, but with some Super Mario thrown into it. The game is great. It's not as much as an RPG as it was before, but it's not really a platformer. I guess the best way to describe it is an adventure/platforming/rpg. Soma
I had forgotten about it until today but a few weekends ago my friends and I were playing some Wii sports Tennis. My friend (casual gamer though he did beat LoZ :Tp on GCN) kept doing really exaggerated movements and we tried to explain it to him that it doesn't take much to swing. So i serve him a ball and he tries to spike it literally. (We're all sitting down by the way.) and amazingly he hits the bottom of the Wii mote on the ground (tile floors) he cracks the battery cover, it was hilarious. Of Course he didn't have the strap on so it could have been much worse. But it was just kind of funny to watch, it has to be the most retarded wii mote accident that I've witnessed. SilverStar
Opera Browser final release is out. About damn time. *yoinks* Firmware is also updated to 2.2, FWIW. Be nice if Nintendo started offering new goodies with their firmware updates, instead of just invisible fixes. Or a list of what it might have improved, somewhere.. Bigfoot
Nintendo to bring us a new 2d Metroid on the Wii using the classic controller, please. Thanks.
KakTheInfected
Hmm my lovely blue light isn't showing...does Nintendo ever plan on using this thing?
SilverStar
Nintendo to bring us a new 2d Metroid on the Wii using the classic controller, please. Thanks. I would still like to see it be 2.5D, using 3D models in a 2D environment. And maybe use the remote at some point.. I think it'd make for a very good implementation of the X-ray visor, so you can actually have the X-ray on, while moving, and still look as you need to. Then again.. much as I do hate games that over-use the pointer function, in a sidescroller to provide fine control of where she's aiming, it could also be useful. Run one way, fire in another, and use a homing beam or something, as one of the weapons, to snake it into places.
KakTheInfected
I couldn't care less if we get another 2D Metroid now. Fusion and Zero Mission weren't bad, but I'm gonna be terribly disappointed everytime I play a 2D Metroid and it's not as good or better than Super Metroid (and that's just not gonna happen). Bigfoot
There's only one explanation for that. No more Gunpei Yokoi :[
KakTheInfected
Wow, the new browser is pretty sweet.
JoeFu
Well, I thought MZM was very metroidy. I hope they make some more 2d ones in the future.
SilverStar
Wow, the new browser is pretty sweet. The text doesn't show up too well, on my setup. But, that's because 480i/widescreen doesn't really scale all too well, to 1440x900. Blurry, blurry, blurry!
Antipode
Yeah actually I think that if they made a high-quality 3D metroid game for Wii that was sidescrolling it could actually turn out to be really nice. Anyway, going to get browser right now. EDIT FROM WII BROWSER: Well, this is definitely pretty sweet. The scrolling noise got old really fast, but I'll get used to it. Also I would have liked to see the implementation of a history bar - but whatever. Otherwise it's fine. They fixed a lot of annoying issues from the beta. KakTheInfected
Could be wrong but wasn't this version of the browser supposed to let you change your cursor settings? Like make it smaller and whatnot? Maybe I'm blind but I haven't found it yet.

supremespleen
I'm consistently getting the 051340 error. I use a USB connector to get online. Any ideas on how to fix this?
SilverStar
Could be your firewall. Sounds like a general "Cannot connect to host" type error. I used to get it a lot, yet for some reason my router's settled down and is all too happy to let my Wii through, now.
HideousBeing
I am posting this from the new Web browser right now, and man is it sweet. Rather a pain to type though. This took me two minutes to write, lol.

Dark Chocobo
I guess this is why my Wii was glowing blue all day today, though. Bow chicka bow wow! Sorry, that joke's probably been made about six billion times by now.
Kitsuta
Bow chicka bow wow!Sorry, that joke's probably been made about six billion times by now. Yes. I'm renting Elebits. It's pretty good. Not quite as fun as rolling up houses and screaming people, though.
Dark Chocobo
Katamari hoo hah. In other news, I've been tasked to find a Wii for my cousins, which at this point is like trying to find Atlantis. Anyone having any information that could help me out? Advance circulars I can check, shipment stuff, anything? For reference, I live around New Orleans. SilverStar
Sunday mornings. Always sunday mornings. Call toys'r'us and the like and ask if they're expecting to have any Wii for sunday morning, when most of them put their shipments out. Bahamut
Best Buy, Target, and Circuit City also put the notices a week in advance if they're selling Wiis - best place to scope that out is on cheapassgamer.com, since someone always posts them every week, and in advance.
