Voltaire Adams
Why are you playing a handheld at home? Granted, I've played my PSP and DS a few times at my house, especially when I was into animal crossing, but the whole point of a portable system is to be able to play it anywhere. For people who like the franchises on the PS2, playing a sequel, port, or new version of their favorite games on the go is the draw of the PSP library. I really just felt I should point out here...you say the point of a PSP is to be able to play it anywhere. Well wouldn't my house be a place considered to be in the category of "Anywhere"? Bahamut
Time to revive the PSP thread! I got another PSP now and played a little Mega Man Powered Up, that game is pretty good from what I played so far. I can't wait to downgrade my firmware as soon as my USB cable comes it
Groovemaster303
Playing FF7 and SOTN on the go is pretty damn awesome. just finished FF7 though so thinking of going onto FF9 now. Anyone else enjoying the 480x272 video hack?. watching the new series of 24 is wicked on psp
Bahamut
I just downgraded my PSP to 1.50 and upgraded it to 3.10 OE-A...holy shit I was so nervous about the PSP bricking several times. It worked out all fine though so I have to say, I'm really happy at what the homebrew scene is pushing out. I'll still be buying PSP games, but damn, the homebrew available is getting better and better.
Groovemaster303
Yeah even though i've downgraded several of my mates psp's everytime i keep thinking please don't brick, please don't brick. i think it's fairly safe as long as your careful. The homebrew scene is wicked for the psp with the PSone emu running amazing and other great emu's such as the Neo Geo, Capcom CPS1+2 and Yoyofr's Snes TYL things are great. who needs to buy official psp games with emulators that run as good as this. sgx
Man, I got Midnight Club III through goozex.com and my psp keeps freezing when I am trying to create my save profile. The UMD looks like it is in perfect condition....can anyone think of any reason it would do this? Might have to return it as defective... Bahamut
Do you have a source for the list? All I can say is, check cheapassgamer.com. The deal got reported on Gamespot supposedly though, so now it's going to be fucked. Your best bet is to buy the games you want asap and then come back later in the week for the pricematching with the clearance. Edit: Posting a new thread for it
Bahamut
Bump - what do you all think about the PSP2: http://www.gametab.com/news/840378/ Sounds like they're getting ready to fix all the hardware quirks with it, excepting the shitty analog nub. I'm no expert on the engineering aspect of product design, but I think that an analog stick that could pop up for game-play, and then be pressed back down when you're done would be totally doable and offer a more free and natural range of movement. Even if you forget to press it back down it certainly wouldn't be as bad as forgetting to replace the stylus in the DS.

All I can say is fuck you Sony again. They dropped the PS2 price not 1 month after I bought it, and they drop the PSP price of the pack I bought not 1 month after I bought one again. They sure know how to rape me like Nintendo.

I agree with Bahamut...Screw you SONY...They got a lot of nerve of rippin' folks off and stuff like that...that's probably why it wasn't too much rave with PS3 after the price announcement of that. and along with that, who the heck wants to buy a system with nothing but PS2/PS3 imports? I rather keep focus on the DS instead. My suggestion: if you're on myspace and if you add Sega Game Gear, they will comment on you saying "F**k the PSP!"
