Sir_NutS
http://www.aintitcool.com/node/31247 Seems legit. I wonder for what console it's being developed. Anyways, a new ghostbuster game with current technology would be badass. EDIT: Bam! there goes all the hope!
Raziellink
Smells like a hoax, but i hope it'll be the Wii, though i doubt it if you see the graphics...

It's Legit, read the edit in the first post. It's just not coming out anytime soon. (Or maybe never! )
Raziellink
It's Legit, read the edit in the first post. It's just not coming out anytime soon. (Or maybe never! ) Would be a waste. It looks really neat.
al3xand3r
The web address lists this game news under the xbox 360. And the article itself (the one that says the game was put momentarily on hold due to rights) also states it is an xbox 360 title but mentions nothing regarding other consoles. Murmeli Walan
If someone asks you if you're a god YOU SAY YES! So, this is neat stuff. Let's hope Paramount's cool about this and lets this company go ahead with it.
linkspast
I really hope that they make a third number 1 and 2 are some of my favorite movies... The they would be awesome with todays CG...
Hale-Bopp
Ever since I first found out about what the wiimote could do, I've been secretly wishing for a Wii Ghostbusters game. I want to control my own proton pack!
Cerrax
I really hope that they make a third number 1 and 2 are some of my favorite movies... The they would be awesome with todays CG... Dan Aykroyd actually wrote a third Ghostbusters movie subtitled "Hellbent" but Bill Murray said he didn't want to do Ghostbusters anymore, so they scrapped it. The new Ectomobile disappoints. I miss the big red fins and the weird siren.
lazygecko
Seems like everything Ghostbusters is bound to get the shaft. There was an excellent comic arc a few years back and they even promised an ongoing title, but it never happened.
Airwalker
The IP owners of Ghostbusters better get their butts in gear and make this happen. Or I will probably cry. A bit.
Devyn
I miss the old Ghostbusters cartoons. Some of those were actually pretty damn scary. Oh well, I guess we could play Luigi's Mansion. Hell, just change Luigi's sprite and you would have a spot-on Ghostbusters game.
JSZilla
I read awhile back, like a month ago of a relatively new (maybe 3 months old if that? I forget exactly, may be older) script Dan Ackroyd had. Apparently it was everchanging and warping into a new story when he'd hit a bump. Murray sort of caused several obviously and last I checked it was almost like a new Extreme Ghostbusters movie. What caught my eye is it was Hell something. Not Hellbent which I AM PRETTY SURE was also a script he did. Unless I am getting them crossed. Anyways. Point is it was about this alternate New York. Low and behold, that seems to be what the tie-in game (unless I read it wrong) the game studio is developing while they hit legal issues with Sony. This makes me wonder, IF IT IS a tie-in..That confirms what may infact be the plot for the new game. It may be Dan's new Ghostbusters...WHICH makes me think...HEY! MOVIE MAYBE TOO???? HMMM? I'm wishing so bad right now. =(
Cerrax
What caught my eye is it was Hell something. Not Hellbent which I AM PRETTY SURE was also a script he did. It may just be a retitled version of Hellbent. Hellbent is about the Ghostbusters' descent into Hell (which happens to be an alternate twisted version of NYC). It was a real script, but Murray decided to move on to otherthings and they forgot about it. I remember there was a rumor that they were going to do a new Ghostbusters movie about 4 or 5 years ago, with a whole new cast (allegedly including Will Smith as Dr. Venkman). Bahamut
And guess what? The IP owner is Sony, so I'd put a bet that it'll be in development for the PS3.
EdgeCrusher
Movie to only be released on Blu Ray.
Dexie
Sony already pulled the plug on the game, sorry. http://kotaku.com/gaming/ghostbusters/sony-busts-ghostbuster-balls-231733.php
Oddllama
Vids been pulled, too. I didn't even get to see them.
The Coop
Should Sony throw a hissy fit and completely refuse to give these guys the Ghostbusters license, I'm sure the game will surface as an original IP. If it was far enough along to make videos, then chances are Zootfly would just redo the character models, replace all the Ghostbusters references with something else, and go from there. You know, a new game in the "spirit" of the Ghostbusters franchise... so to speak.

JSZilla
I'll keep looking for my source. It had what I was talking about but for the life of me I can't find it. I forgot to mention Dan and Harold want Ben Stiller to replace Bill as well the main "new guy"/real comic releif.
