lazygecko
http://www.music4games.net/Music_Display.aspx?p1=629 Overall this is mostly better than the 2003 and 2004 scores, which is mostly thanks to the fact that the remixes of the UT99 modules are very conservative. The rest is just dull and disappointing, especially with what you'd expect from Jesper Kyd. Not as good as UT99, and lightyears away from the first Unreal soundtrack. Miletus
No Brandon this time? I prepare to be dissapointed..
Chickenwarlord
Man, the Necris music is quite disappointing.
I-n-j-i-n
I thought 2k3 and 2k4 ones were just fine. And UT only had a few really outstanding tracks, though those were so good, it made them way more memorable than most soundtracks.
Vesh
Nice to hear 'mechanism eight' get a production update (although it sounds only slightly better than the original mod played in XMPlay). Aside from that, fairly tame. Good. But tame.
The Damned
Honestly? Whenever I play(ed) UT, I always turned the music off and opened up Winamp with a playlist. It was just better. Something about shooting people in the head with the sniper rifle to Datte Daisuki! from Tenshi Ni Naru Mon... it just makes everything seem alright. The Damned
Those are all heavy, pumping bass kind of songs. Sure, they work for some people, but not me. I like a little more variety. One of the songs I like to include is Fleetwood Mac's Don't stop. When you're driving around in a Goliath... it's great.
AMT
Oh awesome, these sound great! I absolutely loved the music in the previous UT games, and it sounds like this one isn't going to dissapoint in that aspect. The ONS1 mix and the menu sound great so far, not too different from the originals, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I can't wait to hear the rest. OverCoat
Man, the Necris music is quite disappointing. Necros? I think he had a song in Unreal Isotoxin.umx. Though there's the original .s3m version which has a longer intro and is just generally better. Oh Necris
Drack
UT99 had some great music. It had a lot of impressive things done with the modules. I really disliked UT2004's departure from it (never played UT2003). UT3 seems better than that, but still not as good as '99. Oh well. Arcubalis
Mechanism Eight is my favorite. I'm glad they included it (they included it on the 'A History of Unreal Music' CD too). Necros did Isotoxin in Unreal and Mechanism Eight in Unreal Tournament. Alexander Brandon is no longer at Midway, so that's why he wasn't involved with the score for UT3. Malcos
This sounds great, especially the GoDown mix! Looks like UT will be back big time! This will hopefully bring back the grit of the original UT99, before it went all quakey.
Mr. Bottle Rocket
I was for the most part...disappointed, just doesn't have the same edge to it as UT99 did.
