Always loved this song on the album. The reggae flair fits the Overworld theme nicely and comes off very relaxing, but still upbeat. I dig it. -
I can actually relate to this, since I was hospitalized myself for about a week. Back then I had nothing to do either, so I spent my time reading comics and webtoons. I know this thread is old and hopefully your friend is already doing much better, but I’ll still share this for anyone else who might read later. Honestly, during times like that, life-based or reality-focused webtoons really help you feel emotionally lighter and more connected. For anyone looking, I recommend 뉴토끼 it’s a Korean site but it also has some English content, and you can find tons of free webtoons and manhwa there. It really helped me through that time.

Sonic the Hedgehog - Green Hill Zone Cover
Master Mi replied to S A U C E F O N D A's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
Take your time, dude (I personally wouldn't redo the whole soundtrack because it already sounds like a really good approach - rather fix the bigger "problems" and then extend 'n' expand the core version with some unique composition elements and passages). But no matter what you do, I'm lookin' forward to the results someday. )) -

Game Set Mash!! 4 - Mega Man vs. Mega Man Successors
Mel Decision replied to DarkeSword's topic in Competitions
I'm game for either team! -
Nah, there’s a lot of the old arrangement that’ll need to get redone. Big chunks of it are placeholder stuff (especially the piano at the end borrowing heavily from a vgmusic.com piano arrangement of Lost Painting). And the SotN cameos you wanted to add are outside the scope, cool as they would be to add. If anything, it needs more Metroid, not more Castlevania. It’s not top of mind for me right now, though; I’ll probably get back to it after the new year.

Either team is fine. If I change my mind, I'll post it here. -

Pretty cover! It starts very similar to the original and slowly deviates from it, although it's always fairly conservative. Well done! Just curious, what VST did you use for the flute? -

OCR04830 - Super Street Fighter II Turbo "SIU MAI"
Estrang replied to Liontamer's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
I never played the Street Fighter 2 with Fei Long in it growing up. I just had SF2 Turbo on SNES and Genesis and thought that was it... Well anyway, if I could go back in time I'd play the version with Bruce Lee Fei Long, because he fits so well in the universe, and if this tune is any to go by, is a certified banger. I love eastern influence mixed with that buttery smooth jazz. I could even imagine a deep soul jazz vocals slotted into this track, very great stuff. -

Suffering from rapid head nodding after this track. Very fun and makes me want to devour an entire bag of sourpatch kids. 😎

Maynard Keenan is that you?? Hehe I love the style and vocals reminiscent of certain musical groups I've listened to. Very interesting spin, and with the kind of angst Cloud goes through in FF7, this blends right in and I dig it. I can't speak to the RE part since I've never played one, but fantastic collab! -

Estrang replied to Liontamer's topic in ReMix Reviews & Comments
Congratulations on your successful resubmission! I've never played the classic GB Final Fantasy, but I can "feel" the classic sound at the beginning of the track, and it seems to evolve and morph into something more interesting as the track completes. Feels a bit like a story without words the way the song progresses, very lovely. -
I'm taking everything you've said and using it to completely redo the project from scratch with my Roland SC-88 VL. I've been watching a lot of content on velocity and dynamics to make my programming sound more natural and less robotic. On top of that, I've been diving into videos on how to build fuller, less harsh-sounding string and horn sections, and learning how to use EQ and reverb to bring out more dynamic, polished results.
