Information about the Game and Soundtrack:
Jazz Jackrabbit is a series of video games created by Epic Games (Began as Epic MegaGames before shortening the name years later). The games were somewhat successful despite it not being that popular and gained a cult following...or at least had a fanbase. No other games exist after the 2002 Self Titled GBA game. Weather there are other games i do not know, but i do know it was scored by Alexander Brandon, the main composer of the series, if anything the only composer, as only 3 games were released (That does not count the unreleased 3D game). The game were focusing on is the first game. It involves a green rabbit named Jazz (Great name) who is sent by the king to rescue the princess and stop the evil Devan Shell who wants to take away the powers of the hares and makes them weaker. It's pretty much the Hare and Tortoise story, if your familiar, but with a Damsel in Distress and...er..fantasy elements. The music scored by Alexander Brandon combines elements of Techno and Synthpop with Funk influences, and also Kraftwerk styled Electro pieces. It's not an innovative score, but it is a damn memorable groovy soundtrack, and also surprisingly one of the rare games back in the days of PC not to use MIDI. (The instrument sounds not the data.). All in all it's a really good score.
Compo starts Today at 16th March 2019! and finishes at 30th March 2019!
Voting begins on the 30th March 2019 and finishes on the 6th April 2019. I will inform you who has won on the thread!
Please submit a valid mp3 file, in decent quality that is less than 20mb. It must be easy to access and download. A ThaSauce page will be set up soon, so if you can then submissions. It's been an on/off situation with ThaSauce, so SoundCloud is a good choice if ThaSauce isn't working for you. Right now nothing is set up, so submissions will have to be external from this thread, via download links, or streaming services. I recommend using SoundCloud as a choice of service! Add a link here on this thread, if you can.
You have 2 weeks to mix! Let's see what you have come up with! Good Luck!
I won last time, and as such can only participate with a bonus mix!
