  2. I want to do something for this but I haven't had time. I might still be able to get it in, but who knows. One thing that might be contributing to the slump is how close the mnp and prc deadlines have been lately. Just speaking personally, I often put things off until the last week (or last minute), which leaves me no chance of being able to do both compos.

  4. I started one with the Secret of Mana source but I didn't like how it turned out. I'll try and get a vote in, though.

  5. Hello I'd like to share a piece I first created in 2016 and just finished polishing up. I vaguely recall posting the first MIDI version but couldn't find the post, so I'm making a new one. This time I'm using recorded piano bits so you no longer have to suffer through MIDI hammering! Here's part of the description from the Sound Cloud page: I envisioned this piece to go with a short story involving a young woman and her soldier boyfriend. Part 1: A train arrives at a train station where the young lady is waiting. She's hoping to find her boyfriend on the train, seeing how rumor has it that he was wounded and is on his way to another station. Part 2-3: The crowd is making it difficult for the woman to find the man, but finally their eyes meet and a hasty conversation takes place. There is exchanging of gifts, but the man can hardly utter a word to his chatty girl. The train is only there for a brief moment before it starts moving again. She has to step aside to make room for new passengers, abruptly ending the conversation. As the train leaves off, she chases it down the platform as best she can, until it is out of reach and out of sight. Part 4: Saddened, she holds onto a letter that her boyfriend managed to give her before departure. Upon reading it she learns that he will soon return home to her. His time to serve is over. Then they can start planning their future together at last. https://soundcloud.com/user-227517766/04-arrivaldeparture-rene-mulder I recently invested in a new Strings library but for the life of me I cannot get it to NOT sound lame (yet). For this piece I resorted back to the initial free sample thing I used in 2016 which actually captures the mood I'm looking for perfectly. What do you think? Can you see the story unfolding as you're listening?

  6. I mean it's not like this source has a melody, but that doesn't mean it's not recognisable. Because it's MnP we need well...MnP entries. Again welcome aboard, and sorry if I seem rude, but if the idea is to be conservative with your remixes, then as far as I'm aware, this is just a random file with no explanation or info about it. Sorry....

  7. [edit] Normally I'd avoid entry comments before the round concludes. But MnP has been a barren wasteland of late. So, what the heck. Yeah, this "RMX 1" is an INCREDIBLY re-interpreted and not MNP sounding at all. If there is original source, then it's well transformed via the notation, style and tempo. @Mr.EA can you time-stamp the exact spots where source material is used in contrast to your [edit] ReMix?? Otherwise, I may have to remove it =/ Example 0:30 ; 1:10. Sorry to put you on the spotlight like this.

    Streets of Rage 4

Yea but...look. They have an ELevAt0r LevELl!! 100% faithful to the series, going to be awesome. So hype. So. Freaking. Hype. Can't shake this Street fighter 4 gameplay vibe I see so much of in this trailer though. Juggle combos in Streets of Rage? But as long as the lead pipe hits are as satisfying as they were in SOR2 I know I'll be happy. :]

  10. Sorry for the double post, but I felt this was warranted and a very important milestone! For a game that has such little representation in terms of remixes on this site, only 2 before this album!!!! We have successfully brought it up to a grand total of 23 remixes from Skies of Arcadia approved and featured on this site! That means 21 tracks out of 36 from this album got featured! That's over half the album! That's nearly 2/3rds! If that isn't amazing, I don't know what is!!! A bit hearty congrats and kudos to all the hard-working remixers who made this album into the kick-ass beast that it is! The sheer amount of approved tracks simply screams to the overall strength of this album!

  11. Thanks for submitting. I've slotted you into the round. Please make a Compoverse account when possible for future entries. Well, it'd be preferred, but I'll still do my best to squeeze you in if unable to do so.
