TheVideoGamer and one other reacted to Bundeslang for a topic
Results time Wassup Thunder created a bonus song. TheVideoGamer gets the last place wooden spoon with 10 points.. And the winner of PRC417 is Souperion with 11 points!!. Souperion, you are the winner and may pick a source for PRC420. Send the source to me (with a MID/MP3 file, otherwise send a second source with a MID file) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). Send your sources as fast as you can, but before next Wednesday (9 December 2020), 11:00 AM ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT). You may select any source from any game, but not a source with an OverClocked remix or a source which has been used in PRC before. An overview of the past PRC's can be found in the following links (I recently updated this site): http://sites.google.com/site/bambombim/prc http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc (also downloadable via the link above). http://compo.thasauce.net/votes/index/PRC417 for the votes and comments.2 points -
Paths Less Travelled Volume 2: Secret of Evermore
Jorito and one other reacted to Troyificus for a topic
Hey all, I've decided to quit the project. It's not a decision I made lightly, but unfortunately over the past few weeks the whole thing has started to become more like a burden than anything else. We've had another person quit, which is essentially what made my mind up for me. Since the whole Jeremy Soule revelation there's been a feeling like the whole thing is tainted, and that's become more apparent as people have distanced themselves from it. No artist that I've contacted to do the cover art wants to touch this thing; some of them have specifically stated it's because of the Soule connection. It's becoming depressing. I'm going to offer up to the project to anyone who wants to take it on. If you're interested drop me a DM and we'll discuss. I'm sorry to drop this out of the blue, but I feel it's best for my own mental wellbeing to do this.2 points -
PRC418 - The Most Snowy Time Of The Year (Sonic 2006)
Eino Keskitalo reacted to Bundeslang for a topic
The People's Remix Competition 418 PRCv17-16 Hello everyone and Welcome to the People's Remix Competition! Last round Wassup Thunder claimed the victory, leaving Bundeslang behind with the wooden spoon. Bundeslang decided to accept the result, taking his loss and congratulate the winner without going to the court to try to claim the win. Because christmas is getting closer, Wassup Thunder decided to put a source which suits the time of the year. Source: Sonic 2006 (PC) - White Acropolis Snowy Peak http://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/PRC418_S06-WhiteAcropolis-SnowyPeak.mid https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sonic_the_Hedgehog_(2006_video_game) http://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC418 The deadline is Wednesday December 16th 2020 at 10:59 am ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT), check the link http://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC418 for the exact time left. Make sure that the song is uploaded to ThaSauce or that there’s a download link posted in this thread. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that if you use ThaSauce, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix if you use ThaSauce. Of course you can also upload it somewhere else and put a download link in this thread. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted in this thread. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they receive a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of this round may select the source for PRC420, the first round of next season. The winner of PRC417 also may pick a source for that round. The winner of PRC416, Wassup Thunder, who picked this source, can only participate by submitting a Bonus Mix. His vote is doubled in the voting stage. You can find the full rules list at this page as well. GOOD LUCK! PRC Home Page1 point -
@theconsoloist I'll dm you about what exactly we should do with this For public record, I'm double checking with all the collaborators on my track, but so far everyones cool with an OCR submission.1 point

An Orchestral (ish) Piece For a Friend

I found something I liked about each variation. The first had a strong jovial vibe with that rigorous percussion and brass. The second's dreamy vocals gave a sweeping, almost cosmic feel. I assume that the third variation is around the 3:00 marker. That one sounded kinda plucky and playful. I am most impressed with the fourth one though. It has a thrilling grand sound. I enjoyed the percussion variety that accompanied the bright, almost airy strings and choral parts. I can say that in general, it all has a pretty nice sound quality, and I believe you're making impressive work. Keep it up. Also, I identify with spending a lot of money, and THEN learning how to actually make something good with it. XD Side note, I often find it helpful to include time stamps of pieces with multiple movements/variations. Then reviewers can easily navigate it!1 point -

Hype hype hype. I can't wait for the voting to be done so I can start verbalizing my obsessing over all these songs. Also, I find it coincidentally great that both Rundas and Gandrayda got mixes. Makes me wish I did Ghor's, so we could cover all the hunters.0 points
