  1. Guys if it helps, i've sequenced a new MIDI. All the problems listed have been fixed (Including an added drum track) https://www.vgmusic.com/file/cfcd5e5d3d66e18f349b9c756d34aa97.html#disqus_thread

  2. Thank you so much for picking this theme. I love all the NES Godzilla songs, and Saturn is right up there near the top spot (along with Jupiter and maybe Pluto). Excited to hear some remixes!!

  3. The People's Remix Competition 431 PRCv18-11 Hello everyone and Welcome to the People's Remix Competition! In PRC429 it was Marcusg who got the win. Wassup Thunder, Souperion and TheVodouQueen couldn't stop him. Didn't got the source yet so here's a selection by myself. A difficult one, because it's from Godzilla and the MIDI's are in 12 BPM. Source: Godzilla (NES) - Saturn http://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/PRC431_Godzilla_-_Saturn.mid http://compo.thasauce.net/files/materials/PRC431_Godzilla NES_Saturn.mid https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Godzilla:_Monster_of_Monsters https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC431 The deadline is Wednesday August 18th 2021 at 10:59 am ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT), check the link https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC431 for the exact time left. Make sure that the song is uploaded to ThaSauce or that there’s a download link posted in this thread. You may enter as many mixes as you like and work with as many people as you like on each mix. You are free to create a second ThaSauce account for that if you use ThaSauce, it's needed to be able to upload a second remix if you use ThaSauce. Of course you can also upload it somewhere else and put a download link in this thread. Do not make qualitative comments on an entry until the results of the vote have been posted in this thread. Mixers cannot vote for themselves but if they vote they receive a free first place vote added onto their score. The winner of this round may select the source for PRC433. Everyone can enter, no votes are doubled. Marcusg still may pick a source, send it to me so I can use it for this or the next round. You can find the full rules list at this page as well. GOOD LUCK! 4. Oh man I love RIvals of Aether. This sounds great. Gets a little crowded during the A section (I'd pull back the comping chords a little). Otherwise pretty tight.

  8. Hmm... ...Any idea on how to transpose the piece from 12 bpm to about 140 bpm without it sounding like a crushed mess? 0_o;

  9. Send me a copy if you find those. I like the source, even if it's short.

  10. Time to get samples of the classic Godzilla roar and autotune it to this melody ? Jk. Maybe....

  11. It's always humbling to win a round, especially alongside all the great entries. Looking forward to the next one.

  12. It's results time. Wassup Thunder did a bonus mix. TheVideoGamer got 10 points and the last place wooden spoon. TheVodouQueen received 15 points and second place. And the winner of PRC430 is Souperion with 17 points. Souperion you are the winner. You may pick a source for PRC432. Again I didn't have time to vote this time and didn't listen to the songs yet, I'll do that later (also for PRC428 and PRC429). Send the source to me (with a MID/MP3 file, otherwise send a second source with a MID file) by PM, other options are PM me @ ThaSauce or by e-mailing to bambombim@gmail.com (I prefer a PM @Ocremix). Send your source as fast as you can, but before next Wednesday (11 August 2021), 11:00 AM ThaSauce time (18:00 UTC, 19:00 GMT). You may select any source from any game, but not a source with an OverClocked remix or a source which has been used in PRC before. An overview of the past PRC's can be found in the following links (I recently updated this site): http://sites.google.com/site/bambombim/prc http://bambombim.googlepages.com/PRCRemixList.doc (also downloadable via the link above). https://compo.thasauce.net/rounds/view/PRC430 for the votes and comments. PRC431 starts in a couple of minutes (didn't receive a source so I pick one myself).

  13. Resurrecting this thread to add in some music that I always thought had that Mega Man X vibe. They are songs that I always recognized "motiffs" of MMX in. I find this subject highly interested and would love to know more bands that really capture that early MMX vibe. Hell, some of these could have been inspired by the game's OST for all we know! Iced Earth & Blind Guardian - Beyond the Ice -- Reminded me of some of the more metal oriented level themes, maybe even some end bossfights. Metal Gear Rising OST - Red Sun -- Come to think of it, this game plays a lot like a AAA 3D MMX game with Zero. Celldweller - Unshakeable -- Always reminded me of some fire themed factory level like Flame Mammoths stage. Periphery - Sentient Glow -- This band is heavily influenced by game OST's. The guitarist (Misha Mansoor) even has some FF7 track remakes. Skyharbor - Out of Time -- The chord progression really reminds me of an MMX track The Fall of Troy - Mouths Like Sidewinder Missiles -- Pure overall megaman vibe. Avenged Sevenfold - "Blinded in Chains", "Burn it Down" -- There are more tracks from this band, but they have a pretty close sound to how MMX-series OST tracks sound a lot of time. You can tell this band and MMX OST's came from the same source material. Dream Theater/Liquid Tension Experiment - Acid Rain - One part worth noting is at 1:50 you can see a little bit of the Split Mushroom stage sound coming out(it's very loose, mainly drums). Maybe both were inspired by the same source? That's all I got for now. There are many bands and other songs that have similar sounding styles. As a bonus, here is a track from The Reign of Kindo that could fit in an oldschool Megaman game with a little tweaking: The original version is pretty good too!
