I get that. Some of his latter stuff doesn't sound as great compared to Soukaigi or even Koudelka. Well, school is the most immediate thing that comes to mind. Commercial Audio Production or something like that. If that's not an option, another suggestion, which is far from perfect mind you, is to find an experienced audio engineer in your vicinity and see about working out some sort of internship/apprenticeship thing where you trade helping them out or working for them in exchange for knowledge and studio experience. This is not a perfect suggestion for innumerate reasons, but I'm aware of at least several people this has worked out for.

I don't care to back up files myself. Its a much better alternative to losing 60GB+ everytime the machine wants to back itself up, I just want to know if its safe to delete that system image and free up my space again.

Well, having looked into my backup thing, it is indeed the backup. It's up to 232.5GB now. Geez. It just adds onto it, it doesn't replace anything. How the hell do I get it off? EDIT: Specifically, its the System Image, not the actual backup items.

Just a few minutes ago I noticed my Terrabyte hard drive seems to have lost 60GB of hard disk memory. I went inside and found a new, locked folder with MRT.exe in it (again). I have it setup to backup files regularly from my Windows main hard drive, and that cost about 190GB, but the Properties thing tells me I only have about 53.7GB of files in my terrabyte and I can't figure out how I could've lost the other 60GB. Is this because I have it setup to backup my Windows files or what did I do?

I got my copy of FFV PSX to go back in time and fuck up the future. Beat that.

I don't know about other DAW's, but I've created some good MIDI stuff in FL Studio. If you've got that, that's probably as good as any to work with. Its just MIDI after all, there's only so much you can really do with it and mess up on it.

I know, its just fun to tease AnSo. And yeah, FMVs always take up more disk space. FFVII had the same issues with incongruent gameplay between disks. Remember how the 1st disk gave you like 30 hours of gameplay, then the 2nd disk gave you like 8? I wouldn't worry about it. It's a curiosity at best.

But why is this an issue now though? He's had that computer for 2-3 years and it didn't start doing this until February. I'm going to suggest that to him myself whenever he gets back from his honeymoon. I doubt he'll go for it because for some reason he's an absolute belligerant bastard when it comes to computers, but I'll tell him about it. $40 is damn cheap - I might look into that myself.

Do you really need to upgrade to Platinum just to get Mic positions? What you have is fine right now. Learn to do well on that before you get a costly upgrade.
