  1. Any time I see this or similar topics come up, I'm reminded that groups and parents and news and everyone have been challenging video games for obscene content since the 80s and so far the result has been video games that are more violent and sexier than ever (sometimes at the same time). One has to wonder what anyone really has to worry about at this day and age. The arguments are the same but IMO they seem to hold less water every coming year. I think people are slowly starting to get it, but who knows with these things... Luxury. I'll be 50 before I know anything about sex.
  2. Well you can tell why he had to rip someone's off. 'jou hear that SMW mix featuring just piano? Awful, awful. That no one else could bridge the gap in quality bothers me the most. I guess thats reasonable doubt, but still.
  3. It didn't ever ask me and it seems like drag and drop works ok. It just seems weird, I've never installed software like this before.
  4. Well, after still some playing around, I was able to get it to make some sound. I guess it needed the Silver authentication (would've been nice if the warning windows would've told me that instead of saying something confusing) and I guess maybe the stuff I'm still missing is on the other discs. I don't have time to look now, but that could be why I'm missing so many things. I still don't see why it had to be that complicated. Put all the install stuff on the first disc THEN put the libaries on the rest. Whatever. Problem averted for now.
  5. You should post an example so we can hear it and see. (hmm.... I have problems with that sentence structure.)
  6. Well, of course, they would be. The problem is getting a hold of them and being able to pinpoint the specific problems that require the specific solution. So much of it is wildly disorganized (or at least appears that way to a frustrated paying customer) and I respect their right to come up with ways that are more efficient for their staff to handle so they aren't bogged down with spammers and idiots. But really now; why do I have to go through 30 minutes of creating an account, fighting with login and passwords and bizarre arbitrary questions before I find out, at the bottom of the page, that they DO have FAQs for Windows 7 users that fix some of the problems but still don't address mine specifically? I apologize for my frustrated tone, but this happens every fucking time. It's like an RPG where every step is a random encounter. What should just take a few hours ends up taking a fucking week. It's ridiculous and its not what I paid $1,000 for.
  7. The z3ta plugin worked just fine and it was discontinued like a year after I bought it. If anything you should be afraid of, its tech support, not compatibility. Support tickets are fucking stupid and sound companies are the worst I've ever seen. I'll have to just wait until tomorrow for live tech support since I can't seem to get any decent help elsewhere.
  8. I didn't know this belonged in Workshop or Help, and I'd prefer a answer sooner than later because I have all day today set aside to install all of it, and which can't be said for later. But, of course, it couldn't just be simple and work like it's supposed to. I started working on installing my Complete Composer's Collection with EWQLSO to install on my Windows 7 64-bit system (I tried to update my PLAY to 1.2.5, but I think it said I don't need to and therefore did not). I put the first disc of EWQLSO in and installed new drivers so the dongle would work - ok. Now what do I do? It did not ask me to set in the next discs, and putting the discs in anyway didn't help. I opened my empty EWQLSO program and there wasn't anything on there. I don't know what I'm supposed to do here. EDIT: Ok, I did get it to PLAY version 1.2.5, but I'm still not sure what to do. EDIT 2: Well, I guess I just drag and drop the files onto the computer, but it tells me some random number.key license terms could not be found and therefore will not load the .ewi. Also, FL Studio 9 won't find it and all I can do is load it as a standalone (barely)
  9. If Xenoblade has Yuki Kajiura doing the soundtrack, you bet I'll check it out. Finding time for it will be the tricky part.
  10. It's really not as hard to make that whale sound pad as you might think. My z3ta+ can make something like that. Hell, the SNES was able to make a really memorable one in Secret of Mana for goodness sakes.
  11. I'm only joking. I thought that was obvious enough by the time I wrote "shit a brick house." That's probably going to be my scenario when I turn 32.
  12. I don't personally know how to use this stuff, but here's a start. http://www.audio-depot.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=2618&zenid=760cc7a66e024125af8b1ccdd0ef394a Connections: •Two 1/4" unbalanced mic/line inputs •Switchable guitar input •Headphone/Line output •USB 2.0 connector Recording: •Four-track digital multitrack recording •CD-quality 44.1kHz/16-bit WAV recording •Records to SD Card media (1GB card included) •Autopunch, repeat and record undo •Dedicated stereo mixdown track Physical: •Powered through AA Batteries or optional PS-P520 power adapter •Battery life: About 8 hours recording, about 8.5 hours playback (alkaline batteries) •Dimensions: 6.1" W x 1.3" H x 4.2" D (155mm W x 33.5mm H x 107mm D) •Weight: 2.8 oz (360 g, w/o batteries) I would think there would be some kind of connector so you could hook up that cheaper model, but it's probably just better in the long run to go with something that's designed to work with digital.
  13. Well, its never been for a specific reason, I just never got around to it. Too late now, though. I got too many vidya games and not enough time to play them all anymore. Something as addictive as a Pokemon cart would bring this whole world crashing down around me! I refuse to prove that psychiatrist right by initiating doomsday with my Nintendo. 32 years old and playing video games... If my grandfather had heard that, he'd shit a brick house, go outside and cut a switch, and then start cooking dinner. Man, did he love to do that.
  14. Every time a new Pokemon game comes out, I'm increasingly tempted to play it as I haven't played a Pokemon game since Red. Always chicken out at the last minute though.
  15. I disagree. The track ain't great, but for a very first attempt, it's actually pretty good. Mixing wasn't bleeding and the instruments were decent enough. A lot of people's first attempts are 100x shittier than this. It's just repetitive and boring as hell in its current version. It's just a foundation right now and you can put all kinds of awesome stuff on top of it. Not bad. Keep it up, learn some of the finer tricks and unisons and shit and you might have something there.
  16. You get the game AND the box. And the instruction book! Both are worn, sad to say, but they still exist and still work, along with the game itself.
  17. Shit, I got two copies of Dracula X SNES carts. Didn't cost me $20 for both. That game gets so much shit, but man I couldn't live without them.
  18. Oh, well then by all means, get it before some Ebay shister picks it up. Edit: Sorry, for a second I completely forgot about the context of what we're talking about. If you think that's weird, you should see me do it in real time.
  19. Bah. I picked up Earthbound with Dragon Quests III and IV for $100 years ago. If it was new, I'd say get it, otherwise that cart and all the stuff inside it is 15 years old and has probably seen just as long use, abuse, and wear. I'd skip it unless that money was literally burning a hole in your pocket and you didn't own any other pants at home (which, of course is idiotic since pants are much cheaper and easier to obtain in every size. Yes, even the astronomical ones.)
  20. Are there carts of that floating around? I used to be pretty heavy in the whole used-game stream and I've only ever seen one cart - the one I ended up buying.
  21. Oh yeah? Well I think its great as is. It's got that weird David Lynch quality that David stole from Platonist back in the Gulf where he saved my life in the Gulf. Fucking Bob Hope...
  22. If you toss out Zombies Ate My Neighbors, I will disown you.
  23. Oh, you're just my age then. Hell, when I was your age, I'd couldn't wait to be 34.
