OC ReMix seeking volunteers for interview transcriptions
Meteo Xavier replied to Jillian Aversa's topic in General Discussion
Is it too late to volunteer time for something......anything? -
- finish THE HEARTSHAPED CUBE - write another damn book - finish KLUYA - work on that track for CHIPP DAMAGE - work on remixes for ROZOVIAN - work on game music for my client - work on an ambient EP for that ambient site - clean my apartment - take stuff to McKays - get married - lose my virginity - finish my classes - get a second job with the park service - move closer into town - beat every single video game at least 10 times - lose 20 or 30 pounds that I really don't need to lose - beat Autism, OCD, psychotic issues - get my nest egg built up - read all my books again - get my other book published - re-established friendships with like 60 people. - Do all this on roughly 25 free hours a week, before 2010. - Die once and for all.

Lol. Unmod. I remember that. JesusTheDarkLord, what a fucking pussy. I personally knew that degenerate atheist human paraquot for years, he was all talk. Granted he had superiority over me for a long time, but he's all ego and maybe autism. He's easy to pick with a pin. Pop goes the dickhead. Anyway, bottled up bashing aside and since we're not on topic anyway, what the hell was that all about anyway? Geoshitties 1995? There was a jihad or something? Jesusthedarklord, Internet hero..... please. He unravels like used toilet paper the minute you show him a short story.

I'm pretty sure these two junk .sys files (verified to be junk) are behind my recent BSODs, but I can't get rid of them. My virus scanner, AVG 8.0, won't recognize them as threats and I don't know how else to take them out because they're either in use or write-protected or something. I'm using a Compaq Presario with Windows XP. Roughly 700 mb Ram, 2.0 Processor. I don't know what else you need for this. I bought this computer from a pawn shop so I don't have the setup discs to wipe it clean and start over. I really think this is the last step in a war I'm waging with this virus since Thursday (Tuesday, actually).

For 2.5 days I've been working around the clock to get my main computer back to normalcy after a virus just about killed it. I'm almost back to normal, but I'm having a problem with AVG Anti-virus 8.0, the free version. After all the rigorous virus scanning I've been doing since Thursday morning, it does not come as a shock to me that my antivirus software is being ultra-protective, but it needs to stop because the Resident Shield part of the software is blocking a lot of scripts (javascripts and some other things) that is claiming is infected. Everytime I go to a website that has an ad or something on it, the Resident Shield pops up and tells me its a threat "Virus Found HTML/Frame". I believe this is harmless, but this constant window popping up is a nuisance and slows my computer down. Has anyone else had this problem and know how to fix it? I could just disable the Resident Shield, but that counts as my Anti-virus protecting for the computer and after the last couple days I'm really weary about doing that. AVG does not do technical support for free users. Can anyone help me out here?

What old game would you most like to see revived?

Loose cannon my red, shaven ass. You put my mistake back where it belongs, Goshdammit. -

Fuck the grandchildren. They're not even SPERM yet. We need to think about TODAY. Because Today is Tommorrow and Yesterday is Gone. Now lets think for a minute. Why do we want our old games brought up again? Aren't the new versions usually mangled up by the same people who used to play them? Aren't remakes usually half-assed at best. Its like your high school reunion. Sure you have great memories of those people, but when you go to see them, you realize they've aged. A lot. Can't memories just live in dignity with us until we die like everyone else? Thats how God meant it to be. No more. No less. -

I heard this for two years before I finally played Star Fox Assault and it became my second favorite Star Fox game, before Star Fox 64. -

Zombies Ate My Neighbors Ultimate Ghouls and Ghosts style. With a fucking level editor and online. And I don't want to hear any of that Ghoul Patrol bashing shit, that game wasn't ZAMN, but it was just fine. -
Any time anyone brings up a music festival like Bonnaroo, I myself screaming the same rhetorical question "Why the hell would anyone drive hundreds of miles to pay nearly a thousand dollars to wade through throngs of hairy, smelly, drugged out neo-hippies for days at a time just because 4 or 5 decent acts will be playing a few songs at a time?" Mostly its part of my overarching complaint that music is more culture than anything anymore, but everytime I imagine myself going, I just see it as a time-consuming way to waste a lot of money. I guess I just don't get it.

Looking for some Ambient Artists
Meteo Xavier replied to eviljoker7075's topic in General Discussion
Whats the time frame on this opportunity? Lets say I don't have any ambient music to sell, but I would try to make some in April or something and try to sell it on your site. Would that work? -
Ok then. I've got a lot of projects up my ass right now, but when (if) I get them finished up, I'll take another crack at this. Thanks.

I mean how are we going to coordinate it so the track comes off right? Do I build a demo, with breaks and alternate instrument sections and bridges and whatever, let you demo rhymes over it, go back and fix up sections so they line up well, let you re-record it, go BACK and fix, etc. etc. Or am I just building an optimistic instrumental track and letting you do the rest? I just don't know how this works.

And how would he or she do that if they didn't know it was based on them in the first place? Example: My distant cousin writes a book. One of the characters is a bumbling retard named Rick Gregor. My name is J*** L******. I don't know that character's based on me because he never told me that, preliminary, he based it off me. I don't know, how would anyone else? What damage is done then?
-
Its easier to just change the names.
-
I figured that'd be the case. Ok then, thanks.

I mean like local people, people you went to school with, church with, etc. Sorry, I should've been more specific in my earlier post.
-
I haven't been working on it because I never heard back.
-
Ok, so I know that people can sue for big money if they don't like the way they're portrayed in print in the news, but what about fictional works like a character in a book named after them? Not much more positively identifying than that, but how does that work?

I've been half-tempted to make a "Happy Birthday, Meteo Xavier!" topic, then when people who click onto it from the index page find out it was AUTHORED by Meteo Xavier and laugh at the comedic effect, I tell people, "Thats right, this has gotten so out of hand, people are doing this first-person now. Lets stop, K?" And thats the end of the topic.

10 years is not a slump, its a tradition. how I will segue my comment that this would've been great... back in 1998, will be challenging, but I'll find a way. I didn't know people still listen to music like this. Frankly, the only person who should be making music like this is Zircon.

gaming posters and memorabilia
Meteo Xavier replied to prophetik music's topic in General Discussion
Gkworld has a bunch of stuff. For game posters, I've gotten mine out of Strategy guides, Game magazines, OSTs. You can get a Chrono Trigger poster out of first edition copies of Chrono Trigger DS. -
My thoughts exactly. Do we all get community birthday wishes from Bleck or how does this work?
