  1. I... don't see the problem personally (pun intended), but if I get bored here tonight, I can do that.
  2. Ok, I'm interested in doing something for the SNESology. Where do I go from here?

  3. Don't ever quit your day job. Music for musicians who don't make nearly 6 figures a year doing music becomes more and more of a hobby is what I'm seeing. Day jobs suck, but they're good for you.
  4. I'm going to top last year's bizarre attendance and hire an actor to portray me at MAGfest. And I'm not joking.
  5. I don't know how much of this is anything new, but as it relates to movies, music, Batman and internet censorship and such, I thought other people here might enjoy a look at it: http://news.cnet.com/8301-1023_3-57466710-93/megaupload-and-the-white-house-a-case-of-curious-timing/
  6. Damn - good show son! I'm still waiting on EGM to send me the game I've earned. I was one of the last LETTER OF THE MONTHS they had before they shut down for a while and they still never sent it.
  7. So is this an open project for others to join in on or is it just by invitation only? Cause I'd love to get in on this if possible, but I know Sam would never send me an invite.
  8. I was hoping some of the professional game composers we had hear could chime in - surely not all the requests they've had were Soul Calibur 5 and Mass Effect 2...
  9. Dancing Mad Parts 3 and 4 - that was the day I officially "switched on".
  10. Hey, you hoser, I quit doing that 3 years ago. The admitting part I mean.
  11. Inspired by one that happened not 20 minutes ago: HIM: "Hey JS, came across you by accident in my quest to find a musician that would be up for trying hypnosis to create something from his subconscious where the potential for creativity is limitless (think how crazy dreams are...that's the part of the brain that becomes hyperactive during hypnosis)...have been working with some MMA fighters with it recently but have always wanted to work on a project like that. Hit me back if you'd be up for talking more about it. Everything I saw in your profile, it would be very exciting to get to work with you on this." ME: Hey ****** - I didn't see your message until now - it was in my "Other" folder. Well, I'm always interested to try new things in a musical context but I don't really understand what it is you're asking me to join up on. Without trying to toot my own horn, I'm already quite in touch with my creativity - that's not really something I need to be hypnotized to tap. I also don't know how you would hypnotize me over the internet. Having said that, feel free to write me back the details of whatever this is and we'll see what we can work out. HIM: Hey! no worries...I'm back and forth from Ontario to Maryville so am in the area actually. I understand about being tapped into your creative side...that's actually the whole point of the exercise. Your subconscious mind is a whole different territory and there could be some interesting or surprising results when you can shut down the clutter in the conscious mind. Hoping you'd still give it a shot and we could set something up. ME: Even if my body could do something like that (for various, medically-recognized reasons, I can't really be hypnotized), I still run into the problem of allowing someone I don't know, from another country, to meet me somewhere in my town and render me unconscious as an "experiment" for an unnamed "project" and without any ties or links to anything. Certainly you might see why I would be apprehensive about that. If it's music you're looking for, we can still discuss something, but I don't allow anyone access to my unconscious mind and body like that. (Full Disclosure: I don't really know anything about hypnosis other than you are not in full control of yourself) HIM: No problem...you're not understanding hypnosis but thank you anyway, I would not be comfortable working with you as well. *BLOCKED FROM FACEBOOK* Yeah, because I was the one being creepy there... Anyway, whats your strangest music request?
  12. Somehow I think you're not joking, and if not, I want to learn how to do this. >
  13. Well now, THIS is a pleasant surprise after an insane weekend consisting of 105 degree temperatures and ants infesting my car (did you know they could do that?). Thanks again man!
  14. Have you ever been to a village? The internet is a universe.
  15. That's part of what I'm talking about there. What is my beat doing differently to make it a downtempo breakbeat and not FOTF? I mean, I don't have the kick on all 4 beats there like I should (for now), but I don't really understand the difference apart from that.
  16. So, I'm studying house music as a more serious attempt to get on a decent label of some sort and I've made up a quick WIP to see if I'm grasping it but I'm not sure. http://tindeck.com/listen/tfur I don't really understand the House genre. A lot of the published stuff I listen to seems so simple to do, but I know better than that. This track I'm just experimenting with stuff from what I'm listening to so far and I'd like to see what I'm doing right and what I'm doing wrong (which should be quite a bit considering its still a rough sketch and so forth) Thank you!
  17. I wouldn't have gotten the Mom involved, personally. If the family isn't already directly involved, leave them out of it, I say. I'd think differently if I thought it was a decent enough deterrent, but serial thieves aren't deterred by much. If all these other methods didn't work, why would that? If she didn't know about it the first time, then he'd just have to make new accounts and be sneakier about it.
  18. I left him a comment on Facebook as well. How do you all find guys like these anyway? Were you specifically looking for Sonic/Megaman X crossovers?
  19. rBm's track IS one worth building anticipation for. It's easily one of my tracks on the project right now.
  20. I guess you weren't around for the 1st generation DAW stuff.
  21. Well I haven't actually tried it yet to see if that works or not.
