  1. This is definitely one of my favorite tracks from Terranigma, and I'm more than glad to see that this arrangement hasn't strown too far from the original. Very peaceful and serene - easy on the ears. Two thumbs up from this direction. :]
  2. I'm now seeing the similarities between the Ghost Train track and Magus' Theme. With that said, this track rocks.
  3. I agree with everything that was stated above about this track - very clean mastering and the composition is very original and shines new light on an otherwise mostly untouched track from the OST. The intro is quite haunting, in my opinion, which does make it as DJ Pretzel has stated - memorable.
  4. I was a bit worried that bowser wasn't as pissed as he could be until I heard the electric guitar come in at 2:40 or so, which then made me 110% impressed with this track and its ability to recreate Bowser's theme.
  5. Hey Gray! I'm talking to you right now about this mix, you already know how I feel about it. It rocks a hundred times over, and I've been anticipating this track to be mixed for a looong time.
  6. Pretty awesome mix - this is one of my favorite tracks from the game. It gets quiet a bit too soon though, that's probably this track's only downfall. Overall it's a great one, but relatively short. Must it only be 2:59?
  7. Yeah.. this also happens to be one of my favorite tracks from the game. I never imagined it arranged in this fashion, but it still has quite a few great points throughout. A great download and it may yet make my next CD burn.
  8. Long time no see, Jared! It's good to see one of the orchestral OCR mixing titans back at work on some great stuff. I haven't talked to you in a long time, but I hope all is well. Favorite part's 4:00, and as always, you have the huge climax covered perfectly.
  9. Very catchy beatline, for one thing. It got me bopping my head after a bit of listening. I vaguely remember the original tune, but it's coming back to me. Nice track.
  10. Wow.. This mix does Ken's theme some serious justice. After all, it takes nothin' to realize you're Ken.
  11. I am moved to tears. This is an incredible arrangement, I don't even know where to begin. The power and nostalgia this piece gave me in particular is incredible. (Someone finally remixed the airship theme, too!) Excellent work, and I recommend this to everyone, whether they are Final Fantasy fans or not.
  12. I seem to recall hearing this one on the WIP boards.. and holy hell. It's come a LONG way since I heard it. Just amazing. Dreamy, ambient, and bewildering.. and upbeat! Haha! I love this. Keep 'em coming.
  13. Okay, so I didn't get first post.. oh well.. The beginning of the track has some nice ambience, then suddenly I was caught by surprise with a slamming breakbeat that grabbed my attention. I'm not too impressed with the mix, but I can agree with the judges that it was still a well done mix. Everyone's taste differs, but this just didn't hit the spot for me.
  14. I'm a fan of the original piece and the other additional remixes of this song that are also up here on OCR, and I have to say this is a well done mix. I don't recall ever hearing the orginal one, but I'm sure there is a great improvement over the previous one, I'm sure. Pretty easy listening, gentle on the ears and bears a pleasing, soothing sound.
  15. It's been such a long time since I've listened to this rearrangement.. and it still has the powerful impact that I remember. Well composed (or should I say re-composed? Hmm.) work McVaffe. I know to expect quality work from you though, such skill is expressed in many of your projects. Taking the time to look back on older songs, rediscovering their beauty.. this is one of my fondest ones I remember. All of the melodies of life are found in this one.
  16. Very well done, Neil. I'm very impressed. This is by far my favorite track from Chrono Trigger.. the game itself has some incredible sentimental meaning to me and my own personal life, believe it or not. I'd be here all day explaining that, however. Let's just say that I'm incredibly moved, and relieved that someone has finally made a submission for TFAT and got it past the judges. My heart is at ease. I look forward to hearing more pieces from you, and hoping to see others take a shot at TFAT.
  17. Well, I haven't heard a song that sounded anything like this in some time. Slow-paced, but a wonderful melody from Zelda 3. Considering it's my favorite game in the series, my expectations for this were pretty high. And in that respect, my expectations were met. Nice to listen to from time to time.
  18. Well, my night definitely needed something to tone down with, and this song did just that for me. I wouldn't say this is anything too terribly innovative or anything that hasn't been done before, but it's still great quality, and that's what really matters most.
  19. Oh, damn, wow. I wasn't expecting such an ethnic masterful work, then again, I wasn't expecting lyrics at all. This is seriously awesome, putting two really awesome tracks together like this.. Just.. Wow. I think I'm speechless. Star Salzman, you've done an outstanding job on this. You really got the accent down!
  20. Well, I've never played this game, but I have to say that I'm a huge fan of Destiny's projects.. And well, this is another great project that she was involved in. I recommend that everyone should check this one out. I haven't heard too much from Zyko, so I'm going to start checking out his work as well. Great stuff, you two.
  21. Ha! I remember hearing this one on the WIP forums. I was hoping it would make it, seeing as it was really well done and enjoyable rock instrumental of a theme that gave American servicemen a voice in fighting videogames. Great stuff.
  22. No comment.. Other than the fact that I loved this. The only thing that I have against this track is that the lyrics don't fit too well with the song.. Oh well, can't always have your cake and eat it too, right? Great job, Arkimedes.
