My goals have completely changed given that I always seem to injure some joint or another, so I'm following a bodyweight strength training protocol that does lots of joint prehab and mobility stuff, as well as supplementing it with weekly hard stretching sessions cuz my mobility is beyond dismal. So my goals of freestanding handstand and muscle-up didn't get much traction, but I feel during this year I will make much better foundational progress and address my deficits.

I was surprised to find that John Williams did the score. The non-classic themes didn't sound like him. Kind of disappointing. Other than that I liked the movie, even the blatant fan service parts.

Replaced making music with stuff like home improvement. uh... yay?

I want to like Dark Souls, I really tried. Made a good, honest attempt. but after getting stuck at the Capra Demon I don't have the will to continue anymore. The challenge to fun ratio sucks. it's just too tedious spending 10 minutes getting to the thing over and over and over, only to be killed in 15 seconds. I have to admit that DS has beaten me and I likely won't try any of the other games in the series.

Now that I'm living in a house I hung my rings from the ceiling! Not only is it better than hanging them off a pullup bar, but it was a cool project and I feel good to have dabbled in a bit of home improvement-y stuff.

I watched it the other day. I liked it. To be honest I was expecting all kinds of feminist propaganda after reading some of the discussions here , but I barely even noticed that angle.

I've read a lot that S1 is poorly optimized and maxes out the processor easier than most other DAWs. I wonder if they've optimized it better in the new version. The scratch pad is kinda cool. I demoed it a couple years back and don't remember in making an impression on me, but then again I'm so used to my own unique convoluted workflow, macros and custom shit in Reaper I'm not sure any other DAW would be able to replicate that. the Melodyne integration in S1 is amazing though and I wish Reaper had that.

Ok, I want to apologize for holding up this project. It's my fault not Swifthom's. I've just have too much real life stuff in the last year to do music or really be involved here much. I'm moving mid-June, once I do I'm pretty sure I'll have a lot more free time on my hands. Just wanted to drop in and do some 'splaining.

Citizen Zero and My Therapy are great too, off the top of my head. And I gotta say, Under Grey Skies is one of the best ballads they've ever done. Not as good as Abandoned but it's right up there. I have yet to listen to the bonus disc, but I did like the acoustic version of Veil of Elysium.

I'm going to max out my barbell soon, I'll be deadlifting 170 lbs next week and I think the max weight is only 180 cuz it's not an olympic barbell. Don't think I have room in my apt for a larger barbell, though. I know 170 lbs isn't very much but I didn't think I would even get here cuz of my recurring back problems. I thought for awhile I would have to give up deadlifts because they kept making my back sore, and even threw it out once, and that was only like 100 pounds. And that made me really sad, cuz due to space constraints deadlifts are the only "big" lift I can do, unless I got a gym membership. But I think my form has gotten better. I feel there's more room for improvement, though. Also, I've been doing FULL range of motion pullups rather than like 80% range that I normally do, and boy does that last 20% down to a straight arm hang focus on the lats. Which is what I'm aiming for... I've got pretty decent shoulder and arm development but would like more of that V shape.

It looks terrible on Android too. At least it's a mobile site, but hopefully a change from the stock design is imminent.

I wish I could just say screw it and put out quiet mixes with minimal limiting, but I always worry people will listen and immediately turn it off. Which is the whole paranoia behind the loudness war.

You could just ask someone for their project file for a particular track, they might oblige. But yea, the real problem is not having the same plugins or DAW.

Ok. I'm getting back into deadlifts and pullups after getting bored with my current routine. I'm definitely down with the weighted pullups. It's putting the focus on the lats that's always tricky for me.

What did you do to bulk up your lats? I can do pull ups and stuff pretty good but my lats seem timid and hesitant to grow.

wow, great job man. Looks like you've cut a lot. I would like to tend to this belly fat but I just can't be arsed to watch my diet that much. I'm too weak willed.
