  1. mommy no one is listening to me! hurrrr
  2. ?? Oh I never said the fights weren't hilarious. In fact, the (extremely slow and wire-assisted) flying kick that Goku awkwardly does at the beginning when fighting his grandfather had my friends and I laughing pretty hard. Meh, but fights so bad they're funny get old sooner rather than later (like far before the awful Piccolo fight kicked in)--particularly for something like Dragonball. Is it out of the realm of possibility to expect a few decently choreographed fight sequences a la Yuen Woo-ping-style? Haha in this heaping pile, probably.
  3. I saw it last night. I went into this movie knowing it was going to be extremely terrible but at least aware it'd be good for some laughs (which it was), but holy fuck was it bad. The fight scenes were probably some of the worst I've ever seen, and the acting and plot were ughhhhhhhhh. At least Chi Chi was kinda hot. As noted above by Sinewav, Chow Yun Fat needs to return to some John Woo gangster bullet ballet!
  4. Well, I'm just comparing them in the sense that they gave me that same feeling of tedium, that's all. The items and check points (as well as warping via the Ballad of Gales in WW) did help quite a bit in terms of getting through the Temple of the Ocean King or dredging out the Triforce pieces, but overall I found both tasks fairly boring and tiresome compared to other dungeons or parts of these otherwise excellent games. But going back on topic, Spirit Tracks looks pretty cool so far. I'm confident Nintendo will come up with some pretty innovative new ideas. Hmmmm, I wonder... will we see Link flying in the sky in some future game?
  5. Saying the Temple of the Ocean King wasn't tedious is like saying searching for all those Triforce pieces in Wind Waker wasn't tedious.
  6. PH was a very good game--it just didn't reach the lofty expectations all Zelda games are typically expected to meet.
  7. Does anybody have the Capcom chime (the sound bit that appeared as the Capcom logo appeared)? I'd love to use that. Edit: Nevermind, just ripped it off of Youtube ( ).Here's a very temporary download for it: http://www.sendspace.com/file/gojfhr Double Edit: Thanks SoloGamer!
  8. You have to reach a certain post count. My recommendation would be to definitely check out Streetfighter, Chrono Trigger, and Secret of Mana remixes.
  9. sorry, should have been more clear that I wasn't responding to your response specifically
  10. noooooo my videogames don't contain realistic weapons
  11. Rayza! I posted this years ago in the VJDJ thread, but I've always felt your profile pic shares a strong resemblance to Antonio Esfandiari.
  12. Put into context with the wildness that is SF3, pulling up to a fight in a luxury car is both amusing and fitting. Also, compared to most boxers that have been depicted in fighting games before, I love Dudley's over the top class and style! He's just a really fun character to use too.
  13. I really like Dudley from SF3: Third Strike but I could never get as good with him compared to most people. Anyone who shows up to a fight in a luxury car is pretty cool in my book! "Gutter Trash!"
  14. It's probably been said already (and too lazy to look), but my very first reaction to seeing the title of this thread was definitely Zombies Ate My Neighbors. Also, wouldn't mind a Secret of Mana remake. Updated hand drawn graphics, fully orchestrated score and online multiplayer? Count me in!
  15. Stolen from the Watchmen movie's Wikipedia page to clear up a few things: Tales of the Black Freighter, a comic within the Watchmen comic, will be adapted as a direct-to-video animated feature, which will be released on March 11, 2009.[99] It was originally included in the script,[76] but was cut due to budget restrictions,[74] because the segment would have added $20 million to the budget, as Snyder wanted to film it in a stylized manner reminiscent of 300.[99] Snyder considered including the animated film in the final cut,[9] but the film was already approaching a three hour running time.[99] Gerard Butler, who starred in 300, voices the Captain in the film, having been promised a role in the film, which never materialized.[100] The Tales of the Black Freighter DVD will also include Under the Hood, a documentary detailing the characters' backstories, which takes its title from that of Hollis Mason's memoirs in the graphic novel.[99] The actors were allowed to improvise during filming interviews in character.[101] The film itself is scheduled to be released on DVD four months after Tales of the Black Freighter, and Warner Bros. is thought to be considering releasing an extended version, with the animated film edited back into the main picture.[99] Snyder expected this final version will be three hours and twenty-five minutes long.[102] In addition, the Watchmen: Motion Comics, which appeared the iTunes Store will also be released on DVD on March 3 and include an exclusive scene from the movie.[103]
  16. I'm highly disappointed the decision was made to change the ending. While I'm sure (at least I pray) I'll be able to stomach the revised ending, I'm fairly positive I'll never be able to shake the feeling that the original comic book ending was the best.
  17. Requesting a mod change this thread title to "the best movies of all time..." because that's what all these movies are.
