  1. Thanks. My post got ate by a bad shortcut on my part. See above for common sense.
  2. Well, what can I say... http://mustinenterprises.bandcamp.com The OneUps' "Intergalactic Continuum" and "Intergalactic Redux" are deeply rooted in intergalactic funk. Several members of the Bad Dudes (which include Joshua Morse and DiggiDis) are funkateers. Cool stuff on the Metroid album. I love funk and soul and it peppers into all my music. Hope you find some stuff you like.
  3. Nothing happened to music. Only something happened to you when you.
  4. A little Mexican girl told me not to Swype.
  5. Get all of the Google Apps. Googles, Sky Map, etc. AirDroid is awesome for transferring files on your WiFi without a cable. Get a Barcode Scanner (Barcode Scanner is fine) for scanning QR codes. Bubble is a leveler - great to have - you never know when you're going to need a bubble leveler - used mine yesterday to re-install a friend's baby gate. If you use Chrome on your PC, there's a great little quick app that will send what you're looking at/reading on your PC to your phone - "Chrome to Phone." Install on both and you're golden. I think I prefer "Dolphin Browser" to Chrome on my mobile, but that could just be because Sprint speeds are so slow. Dolphin does have some nice tab functionality and gestures. Maybe check it out. If you do music, get a metronome and a tuner. So nice. Lastly and possibly most importantly - do you have a Wii? If you do, you're in for the best: Search for "WiimoteController." Then, on your PC, Google search "Nesoid" and "SNesoid." You can get those installed pretty easily - make sure you have "third party apps" or whatever "OK'd" to install on your S3. Then make sure you follow number six on this guide in order to get all this to work: http://www.booyagadget.com/2011/04/how-to-connect-wii-controller-for-nesoid-android-xoom.html Get you some ROMs and BAM! You're playing NES and SNES (if you have the Wii Classic Controller) on your Android phone. No rooting, no damage, no problem! It's the best. Happy Androiding!
  6. Hey, this is pretty dang smart. Really like the 180 on the original feel. Very well done. Didn't remind me of the 80's as much as you probably wanted it to, but I got what you were going for there. Good times!
  7. Wow. I wasn't expecting anything and I was kinda blown away. Guess you caught me in the right mood! Really dig this mix. The dry drums are great. Dig it!
  8. Okay, now I remember. Good times! Y'all going back to MAGFest this year? Yeah, Dhsu, that was the first thing I thought of.
  9. Gotta be honest, I didn't think highly of this going in with the crazy art and track names, etc. But the music is pretty dang awesome. I am impressed. There has been a lot of music just coming and coming and this definitely stands out to me as one to keep an eye on! Great work and congrats on the release! P.S. - You tagged this "Hot Springs" - are you in AR?
  10. Same. I started on Cakewalk Audio Pro 7 (still have the CD!) and that kinda got me set. Some people can change, some people have a really hard time (me) but such is life.
  11. I just recently installed 8 Producer on a Laptop and much to my chagrin, it runs better in Windows 7 on this little Laptop than on my hoss of a DAW that's a Quadcore with 8 GB of RAM. Strange. Anyway glad you're getting it worked out. SONAR for Life. Don't let any haters tell you otherwise.
  12. You know you can make awesome orchestral music with SONAR 8, right? Or 4. Or a piano. What is it about X1 that you're wanting? Don't let those Cakewalk guys confuse you. They're there to serve you. Make sure you understand what you're getting into and that they understand where you're coming from. Everyone wants to win from the situation, and they can when communication is clear.
  13. I'd contact them on this one. Especially if you purchased 8 and lost the discs. I'd like to think they'd work with you. My experience going from 4 to 8 was the "upgrade" was a complete install set as well. Do you even get discs now? It seems you'd just get a download. Good luck!
  14. If you want to license something from Square-Enix, just go here: http://www.warnerchappell.com/mechanicalhomepage.jsp?&currenttab=licensing
  15. The FIFTH album by The OneUps - Intergalactic Continuum - is coming. We are celebrating with a CD release party on June 15, 2012 at Smoke & Barrel Tavern in Fayetteville AR. Please save the date and join us as we take you beyond Jupiter - beyond Funkotron - and into the Intergalactic Continuum. https://www.facebook.com/events/271612076253803/
  16. hahahaha the "Library of the Ancients" and "Bonfire" is hilarious. Why in the hell did this person censor this stuff?! Really, this is lame but it made me LOL EDIT: Bah, thinkin' about it - the accapellas are probably censored. Ah well.
  17. That is such fucking bullshit and a big reason I don't use AT&T. It's your phone - why can't you do what you want with it!? Anyway, I'll check this out. I have a stock EVO 3D on Sprint and a rooted Nook Tablet. I love Android!
  18. The arranger owns the copyright to their arrangement. But the original composition is owned by the copyright owner. If it's "Streets of Rage 2," it's Yuzo Koshiro. If it's "Koopa's Theme," it's Nintendo. If it's "Chrono Trigger," it's Square-Enix. And if it's "Xenogears," it's Yasunori Mitsuda. It just all depends on what the composer, the purchaser and the publisher all decided. That said, it's illegal for this company to do what it does. And it's just wrong to have a site that's called "LegalSounds" when it is in fact NOT legal and it is deceiving to the customer because they're under the impression that they are not doing anything wrong. /runon The Tucows thing sounds like a good idea!
  19. The "Secret of Evermore" track is absolutely out of this world. It is my favorite track to come out of OCReMix in as long as I can remember. You didn't mess with the melody much, the parts are all excellently recorded, the arrangement is faithful, yet original, and the execution is flawless. Super amazing fantastic work.
  20. This times 1000. I just don't want someone going here and thinking it's 100% legal. I'm fine with someone stealing my music because they know what they're doing just like I know what I'm doing when I do the same thing. But this isn't cool.
  21. So many friends are on here - MC Lars, Beefy, etc. It's not just Bandcamp. I've put out a call on Twitter - if we organize, I think it may have some sort of effect. Just not sure what that effect will be. Oh, the irony that this is what SOPA was about. If only it actually attacked the problem and not the country. POP POP!
  22. Well we need to know what all things that we're demanding to have removed. So just "everyone that makes music eMail them" doesn't do enough. Power in numbers - if we're all calling for the removal of the same stuff, we'll get there. Where's Larry? He's so organized - help us get this together, baby!
