  1. I got one in the works. Long time out, though.
  2. When you lose a bet, you pay up. Holler atcha boi
  3. Now that would be something to wonder about. Because unless you all are in a time machine hanging out with Jesus in the year 11, it's 2011 from where I'm typing. And if you see Jesus, tell remind him that he owes me $12.
  4. Got this album, too. Some of these are repeaters! From over 15 years ago! Listen to your "Orchestra Game Music" albums. But!! This is a great album. The sound is very nice, the recording is very nice and the new stuff is very welcome. The Damned, not sure what the deal is, but these games have music. And there have been many versions of it over the several iterations of the game. It is very popular and has been downloaded to more phones than there are people in the United States. I think its place on this disc is deserved. And here's my band's version of it:

  6. I'm gonna be "that guy" for just a second. This is something I could go see somewhere else. [ducks] It's huge news for MAGFest and it's going to be an awesome weekend and it's going to amp the experience, but it's not some massive exclusive that no one else is going to have. Okay, done being that guy. One of my favorite moments from MAGFest last year was the Q&A with Kikuta. Meeting him and having him already know who I am was pretty amazing. But my favorite moment was the George & Jonathan show. So regardless, I'm still pumped.
  7. Not blown away. Called it, but it's big awesome news. I can't even think of something -- wait. If they had said that the cast of The Expendables would be on hand to put me through my own training montage, I'da blown Nick in a heartbeat. Still, very exciting!
  8. I adore the top down games. The GBA game is pretty much permanently in my DS. That said, III was a religious experience for me and I absolutely love it. V looks truly stunning. Hopefully some next gen systems will start coming out so I can nab a 360 or PS3!
  9. Haven't listened yet but this is already the greatest album of all time.
  10. Dude, ponies much? shit! Also, those agreeing with me, thanks. You've heard my music, right? Only 1 in 10 tracks, if that, doesn't feature the Rhodes. I wub it.
  11. Just like Jurassic Park. I'm GAME, SON!
  12. It's actually very complex if you're doing it right. It's not as simple as everyone makes it out to be. Like anything else, the more effort, the better the end result should be. Personally, I haven't heard much that I really love. But I do really like it as an element in an otherwise "whatever" genre. Here's a really great example of how to use it: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iYelP_ULP-M#t=1m50s Notice how this wasn't "thrown together." There are different sounds and attention is paid to the detail and rhythmic patterns. Not just copy and paste. If you like it, you like it. If you don't, you don't. If you're like me, you like everything in Moderation (except for Rhodes 'cause you can never have too much Rhodes). EDIT: BTDubs(tep), this isn't a new genre or fad - been around for a really long time now. Just hot right now. Just like pop music on the radio right now has more in common with the 80's than "the future of music."
  13. If I'm not blown away you're blowing me.

  21. Can't believe they're doing Angry Birds. That's nuts. That game has been so incredibly groundbreaking - it may be one of the most important games of all time. This is pretty amazing - of course I would love to go. Wowzers.
  22. This is a perfect tribute to both Chris and the Metroid 25th Anniversary. Thank you, djpretzel, for posting it.
