This is my source usage so far (yes, I still use pattern blocks): (green = tornado man, blue = dive man, red = galaxy man, yellow = end credits) A lot of the red abd blue are basslines/backround rhythms, but it's still sad to see so little green and yellow. Our sources don't exactly like to play well together. It's coming together pretty nicely, though. And it's the better part of 6 minutes so far, but I may cut out some stuff. Can't wait to show it off!

Robot Master Royalty will definitely have an entry this round, the only difficulty is that the 4 sources don't blend together as well as I'd like.

There's nothing super special about the February date other than that I wanted a date on this so we actually get started and not just be lazy. Really, all I was looking for by this date was basic synth choices and the general feel of the song. Don't worry about the date though, cause it's not set in stone and I may end up moving it anyway.

Has anyone done Imil or Ivan's theme from Golden Sun? I tried remixing those years ago, but I didn't get very far with it. I'll play around with it and see if I can get something to work.

If I end up going, I call a spot on the floor/somewhere in the room.

I'm tentatively setting the first WIP deadline for February 2nd, 2014. I don't expect a fully developed WIP, but I do want to hear at least the backing track in an appropriate style, and it will be fantastic if you have time to lay down some vocals. I want to make the timeline for this project pretty relaxed so we have plenty of time to make it perfect. If you have any questions, I'm (almost) always available to chat about anything.

I'm interested. I don't have a song in mind yet though.

I've updated the first post to reflect the current roster. I think I'd like to get a unique vocalist for each track, but I'm not sure if we'll have enough vocalists to do that. I also want the album to be around 50-50 between male and female vocalists.

I'm definitely on board with your rap idea for Living in the City. I think overall I want the lyrics to stay mostly faithful to the originals, but I wouldn't want them to be completely unchanged. I'm thinking some minor lyrical changes or melodic additions are necessary, and new material will be great too as long as it captures the essence of the sources. If this idea ends up working I will definitely need some help with the art, so thanks for volunteering for headhunting duties! On an unrelated note, I agree that I don't want this to become a sausagefest, so if anyone knows of other interested female vocalists, let them know about the project!

I'm still not sure if I'll be able to go or how I'll get there, but count me in for a group buy if there is one. I figure $30 isn't too much and if I can't go at least I'm supporting the event somehow.

I just want to give it a modern-day update while keeping the charm and just enough cheese factor from the originals. And there's so many subgenres of EDM, I think it will be fine.

There is absolutely 0 urgency regarding when to start this project. Ideally I only want one remix of each theme, so it would be a short EP style (kinda like the recently released Eevee EP in length). I'm cool if people want to start laying claim to certain tracks, but I don't really foresee starting work on this until at least January, but probably not for another year or so. I don't want it to be rushed, and it doesn't need to be an official OCR album either.

My remix for the Sonic CD album is EDM but I used Stevo's guitar samples, something like that could definitely work here too!
