I want to fix up my most recent WCRG entry and submit it. I know there are a few major issues that need to be fixed: I need to re-record the vocals because I didn't enunciate enough, I need to re-process them because I used too much reverb and it's hard to understand the words, and I need to re-master the whole song because the lows are too dominant and the highs are too piercing. I wasn't planning on starting it anytime soon, I have far too much on my plate for now. I still plan on doing this album eventually.

Sonic R is one of my favorite childhood games, and after playing it recently I am reminded why. The music is amazing! However, the late 90's cheesy europop style doesn't hold up as well as I'd like (those piano samples! ), so my vision for the album is to completely redo the songs in modern day EDM (electronic dance music) styles. I've got a few minor tweaks left for my remix and then I'll be ready to submit. The only thing I'm not terribly happy about is that I didn't enunciate clearly enough on my vocals, so it'll be a bit hard to understand all the words without already knowing what the lyrics are. I'll post them in the thread once I've subbed it.

No, actually I translated the lyrics into Klingon and it ended up fitting spectacularly (this reference is relevant because I've been watching Star Trek: TNG on Netflix). Hope you guys have been brushing up on your alien languages!

Forget this, I fixed it and now my track is super-mega-awesome.

Oh my glob, the lyrics to my remix ended up being a little emo. But I'm too lazy to redo them. I'll see about changing the key from minor to major... Oh well. For my first actual vocal track written, performed, and produced by myself, I don't think it's turning out way too badly.

How is the file naming going to work this week? (Spoilerz: it's my turn to mix this week)

According to FL Studio, the working time on my round 1 remix was 19 hours and 30 minutes, and 12 hours and 50 minutes on my round 2 remix.

I'm up for a listening party, any time works for me.

I just subbed mine. Hope you guys like it! This one didn't come to me as quickly as my first remix, but I think I ended up making it sound ok.

Not this round, I won't have time. I don't even have the entire song structure written yet. And I won't have much time Saturday since I'll be floating down a river drinking beers for most of the day. Next time though, I'm definitely doing a vocal mix!

I feel like I'm struggling a bit with mine, but I think tonight may be the night when everything sorta clicks together and I don't feel like I'm floundering. It'll still be awesome, though!

I'm going to try to make it to Mag this year, but I'm not sure what I'll be doing around that time. I'm still looking for a job in the Seattle area, so I'm not sure if I'll get a job, get time off, have money for transportation, etc.

I reordered mine so there's less competition for Tornado Man. I'd really like to get my top choice, cause Splash Woman seems like a good fit for one of the few female remixers in this compo.

I tried playing Mega Man Powered Up, and got frustrated after 1 level. I'll try again eventually.

I've never played a Mega Man game, but it isn't stopping me
