Omg! Nice Work! Lol!
-
Well, for me, the Meetup is over, but I have to say, I had a great time today. I wanted to thank everyone who came today for all the fun! I hope to see all of you at Otakon 2007 in a month.
-
Thank you, I was just going to do that. In response to the new content policy, I think that we've definately needed one for a very long time. I realize that some may disagree with the new policy, however, read it through first, and then decide. OCR is attempting to protect not only itself, but it's artists as well. The very least anyone can really do is give this its fair shake. Also, I'd like to point out that while this is a necessary step in the evolution of OCR at large, it's just one step, and it's in the right direction. I'm hopeful that any and everyone who has ever had a remix posted here will come back and and agree, and continue moving forward to create and submit more and more remixes. We are, after all, just one part of this community, whether you're a remixer or member of the forums. We can all do our part to make this a better place for one and all.

Vs. System eh? I haven't played in forever...I don't even have more than the mere Batman starter from like a year and a half ago. Maybe I'll bring the starter just for giggles.

No worries, I get paid friday. I may decide to come down early just so I can guarantee a parking space close by. I'd rather hoof it to City Hall than park near it. And besides, if we need some emergency provisions, I can always run to a store if my car's within walking distance. Anyways, anything you might need, feel free to ask me, I'll do my best.

Interesting mental image you've painted there of Dream Theater doing SNES music. Also, I like your sig. Nice work.
-
Let's see...updated the game, didn't fix it. Didn't update to Vista yet, probably won't for a while yet. Tried disabling autorun, didn't work either. Also, tried both discs, doesn't work, it's Deluxe Edition. I don't have any emulators running. Used to have GENs installed, but haven't reinstalled it yet.

For all you prog rock fans out there, today was the release of Dream Theater's Systematic Chaos album. If you've got the album, what did you think? If you don't have the album, well, GO GET IT! Dream Theater's Official Web Site

I bought SimCity4 today, and I'm having an issue where it's telling me that it needs the "Play Disc" in the drive. Well, I've had the disc in there all along, but it's still not working. So what gives? Suggestions?

*BUMP!* Just wanted to remind everyone that Otakon is less than 2 and a half months from now. Anyone that's still interested in coming should make sure they have all their arrangements ironed out, becasue as people have told me, and as I'm telling you from said people, it's EXTREMELY difficult to find a hotel at the last minute. -
They're starting to run out of ideas for movie titles. First "Rocky Balboa" now "John Rambo". Hmm...I wonder, what's next? Maybe Rise of Snape: A Potter Film starring Sylvester Stallone as Severus Snape?

Well, problem is solved...for now, I hope... according to someone who posted a reply to me on one of the nVidia forums, I needed to upgrade my mobo drivers, which worked, now videos are back, and card is better. Hopefully this will be the last of the problems...
-
Thanks Coop. By the way...I'm having trouble downloading Driver Cleaner...any suggestions? Nevermind, got it!
-
Actually no. I had another nVidia GeForce card, a 5500 FX, installed. Everything else has been running smoothly, save for anything that runs video files.
-
Sorry, should've put that up in the first place... Driver version 93.71 Operating System is Windows XP Professional, 32-bit.

A few days ago, I bought an nVidia GeForce 7600 GS. The 512MB AGP card. I'm still fighting with the drivers. The problem is as such: everytime I try to play video, no matter what program I use, the processor hits 100% usage, and stays there until I manage to close down the offending program. In some cases, the reboots the machine. So, I'm not really sure what to do at this point, well, other than to pack up the card and its belongings, and promptly return it to Best Buy for a different card (preferrably something WITHOUT this problem). Any suggestions?

OverClocked ReMix Content Policy - Final Enacted 6/12/2007
Dyne replied to djpretzel's topic in Site Issues & Feedback
Which is good policy. It keeps people from being stupid and undermining the operation by wanting their remixes removed for no other reason than "Oh snap! Take it down cuz I think it suxx0rz!" Or the like... -
Honestly, after hearing this album, I feel it's kind of a back-slide from what they've been doing. I know it's their third album (if you discount Reanimation and , but still, I think they might have been able to do a bit better. Also, thematically, basing your songs on the angst you have toward government is fine, provided you can get the message out in the right context. To me, all it sounds like is them being very angry and fed up and just raging on about it in song. Personally, their best album to date is their first one, Hybrid Theory. A contender for my top 5 mainstream albums of all time, I honestly feel it was a well done effort for their first time out. But this new one, well, I listened to it today at work, I had to skip some tracks, I just couldn't get into it. I'm going to listen to it again tomorrow, because it might grow on me, but it might not. Either way, I still think they could've done better.

OverClocked ReMix Content Policy - Final Enacted 6/12/2007
Dyne replied to djpretzel's topic in Site Issues & Feedback
I honestly believe that this is long past due. It clearly defines for one and all what is acceptable, and what is not acceptable. It helps a lot of the newer forum users a lot in that they no longer need to ask questions about the context in which they may want to showcase to their peers and others OCR, all they need do is read the Content Policy, and be enlightened. Excellent step in the right direction. It only gets better from here. -
Possibly the greatest Prog Rock band ever. Yes, The Dark Eternal Night is an awesome song. If you love that, you should also hear Constant Motion. Another awesome song. I'm friended to their MySpace, and I happened to catch the bulletin they put out for the download of Constant Motion, so yeah, it owns.

...the mid-1700s, according to this article from Wikipedia. Yet another reason I love to search on Wikipedia, but despise it just the same.

I've been having the same problem. I'm eventually going to buy all the demos that I want. Though I'd like some suggestions before I do so. At the very least, I'll buy the Soundfont player as I have some really good soundfonts that I can use.
