  1. Hmm. Funny, didn't see this before. I hope to hear this when its done. How close to completion is it?
  2. Don't know if this was mentioned before, but here's another one of those wonderful "up-and-comming" game companies. Phantom.net.
  3. Honestly, if you're going to do a Remix Project, I'd like to suggest something like Phantasy Star or one of the Megaman X series. In fact, there really aren't many remixes for the Megaman X series.
  4. Whether you have good aural ability, or the ability to sight read, theory is still a good place to start with your education. Being able to read the notes if you have very little, even no talent, in music just helps to get you on the road to gaining skill, and maybe eventually talent. I myself lack talent, but I do want to learn to read music so I can eventually gain skill and proficiency so I too might be a great musician one day.
  5. I also wanted to help prevent this from happening to others who were unprepared as I was.
  6. Luckily, there'll never be a "Where's Dyne?" thread. I'm not important enough to be missed. That, and it's better I fade away.
  7. Eh, know what? Just take a month off. Really, it's okay. We can wait for your musical genius. Really...no rush. Have a cookie.
  8. My suggestion for something like this would be to take it to one of the plethora of sprite comic web sites. For example, Bob and George is a good place to start, as it has many Fancomics and Subcomics which, for the most part, all have their own forums. You can always ask on there.
  9. If you happen to have clicked a link recently from a spambot, yes, even vBulletin isn't safe I suppose. And happened to be forced to install said aforementioned program, just go here, and that should help fix the problem. Bleepingcomputer.com Antivermins/Antiverminser Fix
  10. Edited for content My original post sucked, so I edited it, and agree with the answer given previous. I suck at reading threads, I just love to dive right in.
  11. I'm sure he's as sure as can be. By the way, less than 3 and a half hours left. PLEASE VOTE!
  12. I think you might be better off just going with the hip-hop version rather than mixing it was that jazzy beginning you were talking about. Also, re-examine your sequencing, because for some reason, the notes sound somewhat like they're a bit off key. It happens, we're all human, could've just been a slip of the mouse or something.
  13. I sat home with my best friend, and we play video games, cleaned my room, and had a good time just chillin' out like the old days. It was quiet, and all was well. And I have to say, it was the best new years ever for me.
  14. The time draws near...all the players are in place...the time of man is at an end...er, wait, wrong movie. Anyway, somewhere about an hour from now is the deadline to Zircon's remix contest. I hope you've got your entries in (wish I had enough time to make one)! I can't wait to hear them and vote!!! Good luck to all!!!! And happy new year!
  15. Open source will be our final refuge. I feel that Microsoft has lost touch with its consumers in a huge way. Restricting the release of media via software controls? That's great. What's next? Are we going to have to burn CDs on a legacy system so that they work in anything besides the computer you burn them on? Also, for those of us here on OCR who are remixers and who do video over the web, where does that leave you? Out in the cold, that's where. It pretty much screws anyone not running Linux or using a Mac. So in response, if it comes to the point where MS decides to discontinue support of XP, I'll sell my PC and buy a MacBook or an iMac or something. Why keep pumping money into an organization that doesn't care about what you want to do with a computer? Their new slogan should be: "Where DON'T you want to go today?"
  16. I would like to re-iterate my eagerness for this project to reach completion. I both support and wish for all good things in regards to this project. I'd like to add my eagerness to the pool, and play the "I can't wait" card with our combined eagerness. I'm psyched! Just wish I could've added something to this project myself, but I lack the skillz.
  17. Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. Happy now?
  18. I used to work for UPS, and I honestly don't think you've much to worry about. I went out on a package car once and the only real thing they do it ask you to sign. That's it. They don't card you or anything, they just ask you to sign. If you're that afraid, have a parent do it. If not, do it yourself. Besides, it's not like you're receiving some kind of hazardous material, right?
  19. It shouldn't matter what's in the queue. If you want to start something, great, go for it. However, understand that the majority of people are Final Fantasy'd out. I'd say wait til 2007 to start an FFVIII remix project. Until then though, why not do a Metal Gear remix project, or a Megaman X remix project, or even some obscure titled game remix project? I'm sure there's pleny out there to remix. Just find something fun for you.
  20. Honestly, it would be nice to see an FFVI Project, however, since the FFVII project headed by Zircon is still being worked on, I think it should wait until at least January. Personally, I'd like to see a Megaman X and Megaman Zero remix project. Seperately, of course. Those would rock.
  21. Uh, yeah. You're gonna get raped by that boss. Get your guys to at least level 15 or so. With the bosses in the tomb, but the Bird and the Demon Wall that you have to fight can be wasted pretty quickly with a single mist attack. The end boss, on the other hand, may be a little bit more difficult, though keeping your characters spread out, healed up, while keeping a nice stock of Phoenix Downs should be enough at level 12. Note that there are no save points in that dungeon, not even right before the last boss, so you'll have to exit the place a few times. I restarted the game after playing for an initial 10 hours. Got to the Leviathan, and decided I wasn't leveled up enough. Right now I'm at level 20 and I'm pushing it up to Level 30 so I can just start rippin' the hell out of the rest of the enemies I'm going to encounter from here to there.
  22. IGN posted a video of how the howling works. I like it, especially the duet with the other wolf. What's interesting to me, however, is that the Song of Healing was in Majora's Mask, not Ocarina of Time. How...odd. Attempting to watch videos is as much fun as watching paint dry underwater. IGN bites as far as videos goes, and unless you're a member, you get the crappiest download speeds. And who the hell should pay to be a member of a web site in the first place unless you're downloading infinit pr0n?
