  1. I'm just bumping this, despite the other two threads (one of which was produced, of course, by the infamous or is that famous, Larry Oji). No matter who does the official podcast, I still want to take a shot at podcasting on my own personal level, not because I wish to compete (though that might be fun too), but because I once again must stress that I feel as though I should be giving back to the community that I've come to love. Sure, I'm no remixer, not by any stretch of the imagination, though I wish to be and more. I just felt that after being here five years, and really not contributing much of anything other than presence, that my time has come.
  2. Well done, sir, well done. It actually has the feel of simplicity, and gets directly to the point. Definately something that needed to be done. So, you get two huzzahs! HUZZAH, HUZZAH!
  3. That surely would own! Great idea!
  4. Wow, you were sitting like one row up and a few seats left of me! Nice.
  5. Well, this also helps me out, as I'm working on a podcast of my own. Again, as I said in my original thread, I'm not looking to be the official podcast of OCR, I'm actually after an unofficial podcast that looks at the entire community as a whole, as well as covers other aspects that I feel don't get enough attention. Still working the bugs out myself, actually. I might even have a lovely co-host waiting in the wings too! (Which is good, because every great host needs an equally or more so excellent co-host.)
  6. Well, I've checked about both ABS and CyberPower. I like both companies. CyberPower Config (I can config up to 4GB of ram, which makes me plenty happy, but there's no upgrading the video card .) ABS Config (For intents, I like the $1699 config, which I can reconfig with a little more omph.) Question now is...what's better?
  7. So...I'm debating on what kind of laptop to get. Basically, my price range goes up to $2,500. It's going to be primarily used as a mobile studio and sometimes for gaming. So, any ideas would be extremely helpful. I've heard mixed reviews for Dell, Sony and HP. I really don't know much about Acer, and I won't touch Compaq. So, any ideas would, again, be EXTREMELY HELPFUL, and well appreciated.
  8. How about Rufus' Welcoming Ceremony from FFVII? That's a good marching tune.
  9. I did a bit of thinking since the other day, and I'm going to make my own podcast, but it's not going to be official. It's just something for me to do in my passtime, and I'm probably going to touch on a variety of subjects. So, I need to sit down and work out a format, which I'm in the process of doing now. If anyone would like to contribute some ideas, possibly some leads, that'd be great. I'll speak more of it once I've got the basic idea written out, and decide how I'm going to format it.
  10. I've been psyched for MGS4 from the beginning. Now, all I must do yet, is get a PS3 (though that shouldn't be all THAT difficult, everyone's trying to buy Wiis right now! LOL).
  11. Awesome. I'm very happy to hear that. I can't wait for next 'con.
  12. Oh snap! Almost missed it, and inadvertantly caused a fail. HAPPY BIRTHDAY XEROL!
  13. Happy Birthday DJPretzel, and many, many more ahead!
  14. My only question now is, just how many people came to the OCR panel. Considering it was standing room only, I can only assume there was well over 300 this time. Any idea of an exact, or nigh exact figure?
  15. I'm having a spot of trouble uploading the file, it's 82MB. I'm not sure where else to put it. Ideas anyone?
  16. I'll zip the photos from the panel and meetups and PM you a link to them immediately.
  17. You totally rock! Nice work, busta! Now...will they let you remix Dead Worm in a Puddle for the bonus features? ;D
  18. Awesome job bustatunez! About time you got recognized! Dead worm in a puddle!!!!
  19. I think you're right. In all honesty, I do. My idea wasn't to make an official podcast. Not at all, though I'm sure it would be quite awesome to actually have the official OCR podcast, that's not what I'm after. Truth be told, I wanted to do a podcast that covered not only OCR, but also the industry as well. There's a lot that I want to do with this, but before I even attempt to do anything about it, I needed to know what kind of reception it would get. Because, while anything worth doing, is worth doing well, it's also worth knowing whether or not someone's going to actually get something out of it. I'm sure there's plenty of other ways I could help out in the community, but this is the one I really want to do, that most interests me. So, all I'm asking for is some help, in essence. What do you say? Who wants to take the plunge?
  20. From my understanding, those were a custom addition made by BGC's wife. And believe me, they were done VERY, VERY WELL.
  21. Actually, what really got me interested was a panel at Otakon done by four voice actors that really piqued my interest. The way I see it, there's always something going on somewhere in the world of video games, games music and anime. So, I figured, what the heck, why not?

    OCR-Tan

I honestly love the OCR-tan concept. It's just plain awesome! It would be pretty cool if we could somehow commission some of our resident deviants to either collab, or solo, OCR-tans for the various incarnations of the OCR site. The current OCR-tan would be the latest version, and then subsequent OCR-tans could represent the older versions (main versions only, of course).
  23. Well, I've been rolling the thought around for awhile now. The only thing holding me back is that I've no experience podcasting. Though I'm an apt pupil, I want to learn. Anyway, right now, I'm in the planning and idea stages of development, once I have something solid, I'll share more information, but what it really boils down to is that I want to be more involved in the community, and I'm actively looking for ways to do so beyond remixing. After all...I haven't remixed...yet.
  24. ...for another podcast? I've been doing a bit of thinking. Since VGDJ is over, and there's really nothing else on the horizon, that I've seen, anyway. I thought that maybe somewhere along the line there might be another podcast just waiting to happen. And I was curious as to what kind of reception it would find when it does finally arrive. Any ideas? Also, if you're looking forward to another VGDJ-style podcast, or even if you want to start something fresh and new, suggestions are most definately appropriate for this thread. I'd like to hear what everyone has to say about it.
