Dash Myoku

Drums aren't really an issue. All it really is is a drum kick and the two snare builds. That's it. xD As for balancing, I can definitely work on that. But, my downfall when composing is my mastering skills. I'm not sure how to master things to make it sound pretty. Newgrounds will vouche for that, seeing as it sounds more dry and dull up there. But when played through a media player, such as Winamp, with preset EQ settings, it sounds how I want it to. Got any tips on how to achieve that? I've messed with the EQ in FL, but then when it's played through Winamp, everything's over-powering due to the double EQ settings at play. x.x Also, nabbing an account on tindeck so people won't complain about my Newgrounds host anymore. >.>

Ouch. I only use Newgrounds cause it's simple and...there. You could always just download the mp3 from there.

Well, awesome Pi. I haven't really been around either, but I always checked up on the thread to see if anything was going on. Granted, I never really worked any more on my remix, but I blame laziness for that. If things get back up and running, I'd love to get back on the wagon, so to speak. xP

Chicken: I think one of the main problems is that the track is really just un-mastered. So since everything sounds all bland and dull, it all sort of runs together causing things to become cluttered (because I listen to it on Winamp with a Rock preset and...the clutter problems everyone is talking about is barely even there). And yes, I will have more interpretation on the main melody soon to come. davidicus: lol, Thanks. I usually don't get anything good when I live-record, but I must've did something right this time around. xP And we're in the same boat, I've got no idea how I'm gonna add more to all this. I mean, I hope to make this at least a 3 to 4 minute remix. But I usually find something (whether it be intentional or accidental) that will help build on to the original track and progress it further. I just hope I figure it out before I lose interest in finishing the remix. >.>

Wow, I'm glad I found this thread. I've been needing a better guitar sound because my amp just...well, sucks. I'm gonna try a few of those out and then come back to tell you what I think.

lol, Remix isn't done quite yet. I still have more I wanna add to it. And I agree about the drums, but in my defense, I have them as a place holder for the moment until I can think of some better drum parts. And yes, I once again agree. I'll be adding one or two things to the parts that repeat, or maybe re-record and make the parts themselves progress a little bit. Haha, it's...pretty close to the source. It's actually the source with some original guitar work. I also altered the bass a little bit to give it that little flare. Also, the source is only 127bpm, mine is bumped up to 150bpm. Why? Uh...well, I like fast stuff. xP Anyways, thanks man. I was beginning to give up on OCR there for a sec... >.>

Lol... A friend of mine is also working on a sequel to Wind Waker, though his ideas for it are a bit...strange. But good. Anyways, I'd like to help you out, but I'm full up as it is. I've got 2 projects I'm doing for friends and 2 I'm being paid for. It's hard to please everyone, especially when you're a composer. x.x Anyways, good luck with your game.

Haha, I've done it again. Disappear, that is. Anyways, sorry about my absence (again). I plan to begin work on that damn WIP o' mine fairly soon (probably tomorrow if all goes well with my Castlevania remix). I WILL finish this WIP, it's my sole duty as a remixer to stick to something til the end. Oh...you'll probably have to disregard the WIP I have on the forums. More than likely, I'm going to scrap it and start fresh. Again, sorry to have disappeared on you guys. ^^;

Well, I got tired of making Mega Man Legends remixes (for now), so I asked a friend what track I could remix. He told me Vampire Killer (obviously). Lucky for me, I had never played or heard the track before, so that left a door open for me to work with. The end result is the WIP I have (will give link). I like his style and I think it'd be interesting to hear it in play along with mine. As for "Radio" quality, you might have to hook me up with some soundfonts, since the ones I have aren't all too great (you can check out my newest WIP thread for a taste of what I have). But other than that, I think I can deliver what you want for this thing. It's just too bad I don't have any of my Guitar gear up here. I'd live record my stuff in a heart-beat (not that I'm all that great anyways xD). The Joker: Well...now you're giving me ideas. Rock, with Techno influences and an Orchestra. Complete with, uh...more Techno? xD

lol @ Pi. Alright...well, I think I'll choose the Final Boss Theme from Sonic 3. A suitable theme for Dr. Robotnik, I'd say. Plus, it's my favorite out of any theme he has had. *Gets to work on it.* I'll definately be sending you a WIP sometime soon, Pi. Also, can we mix Genre's? I've no problem with writing Rock stuff, but I like to add influences of Techno as well.

Prometheus (and Bob xD): Well, I see your point. But I like the techno part (mainly because I haven't really done a lot of techno since the early days of mixing). Buuuut, don't worry...I always seems to pull through and make something even you would enjoy, regardless of genre. Altus: Same with Prometheus, it may not be looking too good right now, but once I work on it some more for a new update, you'll definately here that "Dash" sound you like. xP Dr. Rod: Actually, that's not too bad of an idea. In fact, it gave me some ideas on how to improve the musical (not production) quality of the techno part. Schweetness. Alright, new stuff here. Very good stuff, too. This remix is of the Garoh Village. If you've never played "Golden Sun: The Lost Age," Garoh Village is inhabited by Werewolves.
