Is it bad that I've never cared enough to play as Knuckles except in S&K way back then and now..? Other then that the recent collection edition hasn't bothered nor disappointed me in the least. Kinda interesting they left out Sonic CD, ah well I got a friend who just gave me the sonic gems collection for the GC.

First thing that "Red Hat Linux 8 running slow" give me on google is this--> http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/linux-general-1/redhat-8-running-slow-cpu-usage-100-89827/ Maybe it helps..?

I actually bought one of those for about $15 and it worked wonders for my MMX collection disc when it had a bunch of scratches on it. ps posting from the PS3 for once feels awesome lol
-
idk upon further searching they look okay... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xlp5ZOV4Gyg&feature=related edit wrong vid posted

I guess it's nice they've upgraded the games for HD, not to mention it's probably the only PS3 game that costs about half of most other available disc copies (roughly $30) I'll go ahead and pick it up after work

So recently I went to one of the local retail stores and they had one of those special collection pack games for the 360 and ps3 sega collection. I recalled some earlier renditions like the namco museum collection and the sonic collection pack. Well this version seems to contain not only the sonic games but also some odd number of games which includes streets of rage 1-3, phantasy star I-IV and so on. On the box it says they've "upgraded" the games so they're native resolution is 720p. Is it worth it..?

SO.... Any luck with WINE or Darwine..?
-
though a bit messy, the Touhou Wiki does have a section about running the games on linux based systems; it also mentions mac but you won't like the answer it gives... http://touhou.wikia.com/wiki/Talk:Running_in_Linux#all_of_the_Touhou_games_run_nearly_flawlessly_in_Linux

Upon further searching, as well as unintentional derailment, WINE seems to be the best solution for those not using windows at all Give WINE a try

I'll admit the only real taste of "euroshmups" I've had was with Soldner X. I've had fun with it though so i suppose it's an "acquired" taste..? On another note, I've yet to find a way to try playing the touhou project games on the PS3 short of installing a windows partition on the hard drive.

It only got bad reviews because casual players can't handle the difficulty. http://www.metacritic.com/games/platforms/ps3/soldnerxhimmelssturmer http://www.1up.com/do/reviewPage?cId=3171740 http://ps3.ign.com/articles/938/938649p1.html Games Radar Here's a comparison... Gradius V gameplay Subterranean Animism Finally Solder X I say all games have such varying difficulties that most regular players simply can not fathom or deal with. I'd say unless you're really into shmups, Soldner X is perhaps not for you. If you have a PS2 try finding Gradius V

It's kinda like how he could possibly play the touhou games via Parallels or bootcamp, but he really does not want to have "anything" to do with any windows os. imo kinda silly if you're knowledgable and want to expand into pc gaming among other things... *cough*emulation*cough*

I could not see the trailer either at home or work, this it..? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bFD8rh2YDyA "It wasn't me this time I swear it"

Ever have a character in a fighting game...
Schwaltzvald replied to Archaon's topic in General Discussion
I was being facetious some what but still stand by the statement. I was also kinda surprised Makoto or Yun was not even considered, but man Dudley there would have been awesome. -
It was actually good..? I was under the impression that it sucked; and not because of the evolutions tag...

I can't speak for others who like to use Dudley, and yeah the car thing gives off the air of pomposity, however he practically epitomizes the classic boxer style of combat. Heck he shows more technique along with style in his combat that works fluidly in a GOOD Dudley player Yeah you can maybe argue that the Ryu player sucks donkey dick but you can't deny Dudley's potential. Plus Dudley is actually lot of fun to wail with on others. Especially those that underestimate him -

Used to play a decent Guile, want to be good again with him Enjoyed Cammy for a while but I just tooled around with her whenever I pick her. Loved using Dudley when he came around, twas awesome. But no matter what I'd always fuck up on Vega. god fucking damn it... On a special note for Street Fighter IV... What happened to Dudley..? WHAT THE FUCK HAPPENED TO DUDLEY YOU PRICKS!? Instead we got Dan..?! GUTTER TRASH indeed... -
Not sure what you're into... Went with the following Dead Space (Didn't like it too much on the PC, more enjoyable on console) Valkyrie Chronicles Silent Hill - Homecoming Disgaea 3 I'm currently undecided on whether to get F.E.A.R. 2:PO for the console or PC, mainly because it's a "pure" FPS game. only games I've ever played on consoles that were FPS variety were "Goldeneye 007" and "Quake 2" on the N64.

I'd say rent it first, minor differences ala wiki In the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions, an on-screen "Ring Energy" meter is used to display how much boost is available The amount of boost remaining may be increased by collecting more rings, and is decreased when the player uses it. In contrast, the PlayStation 2 and Wii versions of the game, available boost is represented by bars, which may be increased by performing "Action Chains", destroying multiple enemies in quick succession through the use of homing attacks or by collecting rings. Night-time levels have been adjusted in the Wii version to allow greater use of the Wii Remote, where players may control the arms of the Werehog by using the Wii Remote and Nunchuck in order to grab onto objects and move forward in the levels. The Wii version of the game also expands upon the ratio of night-time levels to daytime, with more than three times as many night-time levels (twenty-five in all) Hub-worlds operate differently depending on the version of the game being played; the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions feature fully-interactive, explorable 3D hub-worlds, where townspeople may be interacted with and sidequests may be undertaken, in order to gain experience or unlock items, such as artwork, videos and music tracks. In contrast, the Wii and PlayStation 2 version features a menu-based map system, where players simply click the appropriate area to talk to the townspeople and find information Because only the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 versions feature playable hub-worlds, this is also the only version in which Sun and Moon medals may be found by exploring the towns, talking to the citizens, and completing side-quests what the fuck...?

At minimum, two gigs are required, three gigs will make it much smoother/flexible... I will say I've not heard of your kind of problem with such vid files working improperly...
-
Wouldn't simply waiting till a new PC is built for the PCless/macUser be better than settling for less played version; especially with games that have a large community on another platform..?

Speaking of arcade games, Death Smiles is coming out on the XBOX Live arcade over in Japan this coming spring. If we're lucky we may see it here as well.

Can I assume you want rpgs..? http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?id=abcat0701007&type=category Oddly enough for some reason at the time of this post, Valkyrie Chronicles shows up on the listing of 360 rpg games despite the fact that it's a PS3 exclusive.
