Seconded. She's awesome.

I suppose posting in here is more relevant than making my own thread. But I am looking into buying a digital piano in the near future. Though I read zircon's recommendation for the Yamaha P70, I felt that Casio's Privia PX120 (or PX110 is just as good). I'm not too sure what the difference is between the two, but I can get the PX110 off of Amazon for a cool $405 USD new. http://www.zzounds.com/item--CASPX120 I went to Guitar Center and found the keys on the Casio keyboards to be stiffer and the sound to be a bit "brighter" compared to the Yamaha ones. Maybe someone was banging a lot on the displayed Yamaha ones though... you never know. I'm not looking too much feature-wise. Sure MIDI out is a great addition, but not a requirement. I'd probably have to buy an adapter if I want to connect it to my computer via USB. I'm just looking for something with good keys (weighted and velocity sensing) and not too much outside of that. I'm just going to be using a piano for.. piano-ing... The reason I'm going digital is that it's pretty convenient to move around and I could use headphones whenever I want too. Anyone have own one of these or have an opinion on them?

Has anyone given up on duke nukem forever?
Katsurugi replied to cfG-21's topic in General Discussion
It'll come out when it comes out. I'll still buy it. -
I'd rather not see things go political in this thread even though it already has. But really, the pollution is probably the one thing that I have against China holding the Olympics. It's a huge problem for them in general, and they should have started taking precautions way back when, maybe even once they got the pick for the 2008 Olympics. A month or two before the official ceremony is last minute. Every Olympics seems to be the same. The US always seems to be pretty strong in some events but not consistently so, Men's Swimming and Women's Soccer to be one. You never really know with the US. It's hit or miss. Phelps looks to be still strong if not stronger than last time. But Women's soccer is really weak having lost a couple of players to injuries. But it's not like I'm rooting against them. After the whole Paul Hamm ordeal, I'm not really looking forward to Men's Gymnastics this time around compared to last time. China also seems to have a lock on rings. Taucer could probably back me on this. He's just too good. It's exciting to see the top athletes from around the world compete though. My favorite events would probably be gymnastics, diving, table tennis or tennis (if they ever air the matches), and I'm sure there are more. I just can't think of them all. Most of the track and field seems to bore me. But after that Jamiacan guy broke the record at the preliminaries, the 100 and 200 meter look pretty good. I usually catch the 100 m because.. well.. why not? They're so fast that it only takes like 10-12 seconds for each heat. I haven't seen it yet (though some of my co-workers have). But tonight NBC is supposed to air the opening ceremony for the Olympics and from what I can guess, it's really cool. I saw some pictures online and it'll be something to see.

As for the August 2nd deadline, I'm very far from my goals. I've only added an additional 20 pounds to my chest exercises and 15 to my obliques. For this long, I'd think it's pretty slow progress. I should have reached my goals by now. I've been sick off and on, but it shouldn't really stop me from exercising. Sneezing, sniffling on occasion... that sort of stuff. I've been taking a day or two off because of that. I'm not too sure why I have something like that in the middle of summer. That on top of social problems have mainly stopped me from going as often as I'd like. Really, it shouldn't scheduling since an hour a day won't kill anyone. But there are days where you just feel terrible and if you go to the gym, you probably won't even get a decent work out. I'm still going to continue though. See if I can further my progress before the start of September. That would be something I would like to see.

Looking for gymnastics routine music
Katsurugi replied to Geoffrey Taucer's topic in General Discussion
Wow! I thought someone bumped the old one! Man.. I was going to say if you didn't find any routine music after a year, it doesn't bode too well for you. Anyway, I'm just glad that it's a new thread. I will contribute later... hopefully. -
Wow. Quite cool. I guess Canada is more chill with this stuff then.

Yeah, it all depends what exactly was fried. If you still have the hard drive intact, hoping that the motherboard got fried at the worst, then transferring data is a pain, but still doable. Laptops are tricky things. If something major goes wrong with it, even if the screen gets cracked or something, it's often cheaper to get a new laptop all together than repair an older one.

Mega Man Coming to Wii VC. No, not THAT one
Katsurugi replied to The Damned's topic in General Discussion
I can't wait to get in some Megaman Soccer. -
I'm not too sure why I'm updating today. But I have been doing my thang on a regular basis. However, I have worked in butterflies and reverse sit ups into my repertoire. I guess that's a good thing to balance out my muscles. Running distance has more or less remained the same. Though, I think that eating Taco Bell definitely causes me to run slower. After watching a lot of triathlons and marathons this weekend, I probably should train for a half marathon. That's about 12.5 miles or so, right? I definitely can go 7 if I push it, but yeah... that's no good if it's a little over half of the distance. I should probably focus on long distance running on my aerobic days. I am not going into the gym today because I am sick. I am probably going to take today off, stay hydrated and stretch (since you can never stretch enough). After waking up in a light sweat during a random nap on the train, I think it's a bit safer to get better than work out for the time being.

Happy birthday, bgc. I hope you get new wallpaper for your room!

The most simple way is to buy the USB/PS-2 adapter. However, what you can possibly do is use a Linux Live CD and then download the drivers via that. It should auto-detect all of the hardware, so connecting to the internet should not be difficult. You would simply have to know exactly where to install the drivers, usually some .dll file once you get them. Then boot without the live CD and then Windows should boot like normal.

Alas, I am without equipment or else I would be very much available to participate. I do sound pretty awesome in the shower. Just kidding. I hardly sing in there. However, I have a bunch of choir experience. >_<

Happy birthday, Dave. Tell soon to be Mrs. Pretzel hi.

Yeah. I think in SF2T you can slightly move backwards and forwards with E. Honda. That makes zoning really easy for you as you do the slap. I think that's so cheap... Anyway, all the characters are good. Sagat has his "old" Tiger Knee if anyone remembers that. It's not the dragon punch motion with kick any more. It's down to back and then up-forward and kick. The only changed it after Super Street Fighter 2. A good Blanka can leave you blocking most of the game while he just keeps chipping at your life bar. Chun is always good in most any game she's in. Standing light kick can stop Blanka's forward roll attack in its tracks if you time it right.

I see what you did there...

Connect Four! (Sorry, I just had to.)

I'm not too sure what you're asking for, but you'll probably need a more specific question than that if you want a response. Also, I think this would be better suited if you put it in the Remixing forum rather than the help forum. The remixing forum is more tuned to help with audio software if anything. You will probably find better help there than in a more general forum. Make sure you say something like "I want to do ___________. How do I do it?" Don't say you only know how to lengthen a track because that leaves a lot to the imagination.

Free Anti-Virus Program for 7 Year Old Computer?
Katsurugi replied to Secret Agent Man's topic in General Discussion
The only other free antivirus program that I could recommend is avast!. I believe it's free and I haven't really had too much experience. But it's the one I'm thinking about replacing AVG 8.0 with on my sister's computer. I've heard only good things about it though. -
For something that suits your needs, I'd probably get something like a Western Digital Passport. It's really quite small and has only one plug. You don't need an additional cable for power, just one USB 2.0. The thing with most portable external hard drives is that the cooling isn't that great. Usually they will use the shell or casing to disperse heat, though a fan is always superior. Even though it has a special case, generally made from aluminum, I would suggest that you don't keep your hard drive plugged in all day. As for brands, Maxtor has been given a bad rap by a lot of people. But ever since they were purchased by Seagate some time ago, I can't say I've heard too many complaints about them. Seagate has often been thought of as the most reliable brand, and Western Digital, slightly less so. But there are always a couple of bad eggs in the bunch. I would keep away from hard drives that are 'too fast.' 10000 rpm is too fast by my definition. Anything less than that is usable. They used to make these Raptor hard drives that used those speeds and all it ended up doing was making a hard drive that died sooner. That being said, most hard drives on the market run less than 10000 rpm, so that really isn't an issue.

Yes. Content is often made ahead of time before its release date. After an official announcement. It's pretty much done and over with. Secondly, remixers selected for this opportunity were well established in the community and have contributed quality remixes. But getting back on topic, what is everyone's take on SF2HD Remix Beta? I think you can only choose Ken and Ryu and only play in Ryu's stage. That kind of sucks, but I know some people on the site already have it.

Looking for a good Microphone...
Katsurugi replied to The Mutericator's topic in Music Composition & Production
Ah, yes. I believe that one is newer and also budget as well. That might be a better fit for you if that's what you're looking for. -

zircon has recommended the Shure SM57 or SM58. I'm not too sure if it still stands. But I think that it might barely be inside of your budget depending on where you go. -
Lately, I've been getting in some ultimate frisbee on the weekends. So that has been good and fun for running. But there really is no way of telling how far I've ran. The down side is that I have some serious turf burn all over my leg. It makes running difficult, especially the burn on my knee. Since it hurts only to raise it really high, I think I can still run. My theory proved to be right the last time I went to the gym. I am not pushing enough weight. I'm happy to find out that I have been progressing rather than plateauing. I just have to keep up the drive. For both inclined and standard bench press, I am now pushing 60 lbs for most of my sets except for one set of 65 lbs. I don't know if I'll reach my goal. But at least I will end up a lot closer to it.
