  1. It starts out rather quiet, and that didn't catch my attention at all. So when the mix suddenly got more energetic at 1:19, it took me by surprise, though it was a pleasant one. It gets even better from 2:04, and the melody starting at 3:08 is just beautiful. This really is a battle theme. Lots of energy in here. Nice work.
  2. Damn, that violin at 2:50 is great. Sends shivers down my spine, alas only for a short time. This mix could have used a little more energy, and both flute as well as violin can deliver that. So yeah, nice song, but more POWER next time, plz. And more violin.
  3. The singing is rather...unique, but that's what makes this remix so great in my opinion. It's one of the catchiest I've heard in the last couple of months, and that is because of the vocals (thanks for the lyrics, btw). Also, the piano is amazing.
  4. The intro/outro of this song sounds very good; lots of atmosphere in there. For me personally, the guitar in this one is walking the thin line between genius and insanity. Most of the time it's fine, but in some places it annoys me so badly that I want to smash my speakers. Luckily, it's more of the former than the latter.
  5. Very interesting song. I listen to a lot of strange music, but some of the sounds in that one made even me go "WTF?", but in very positive way. The chiptune parts are pure win, though. They really make it sound like a video game remix.
  6. Something about the electric guitar just rubs me the wrong way; I simply do not like the sound of it. The acoustic one is perfectly fine, though. The lyrics were amazing; we need definitely more of this opera-stlye singing.
  7. There was a pretty well done mix using the morgue track (among others) over at VG Mix. But yeah, Shadowrun on the SNES needs some ReMixes. Actually, I'm currently playing that game, hehe.
  8. Nice work, except for the one miss at appr. 1:33 and the rather sudden transition from loud to quiet at 1:50.
  9. The breakdown with the voice samples: pure win. Beef up the drums there to make it even better. Still needs more variation from 2:31 on, though.
  10. Nice work. Very smooth and laid-back remix that's simply fun to listen to. My favourite part is when the song picks up some speed at 2:39; basically the climax of it.
  11. Well, that's some bad news for us listeners, but I can absolutely understand this decision. Take a break, come back with new energy, and let's all hope for more reliable guests/interview partners.
  12. The first one to be released for the PS IIRC.
  13. Yes, this doesn't make my subwoofer go crazy anymore. Better. I guess the sample in the very beginning is suppoesed to be wind? If so, it sounds a little mechanical. Now you just need a melody to go with it.
  14. A-HA! I downloaded that song when you posted it some time ago, so I'm not surprised I knew that tune.
  15. Don't you dare giving up on this. The more Super Metroid remixes I can get my hands on, the better. And yours is quite promising.
  16. Hey, I remember that WIP. Actually, I still have the old mp3, too. I dig this. Alas, the flute is too quiet in my opinion, and the mix needs more variation in the second half.
  17. Hey, you came in third, not bad. The melody of this song sounds somewhat familiar. Did you have a source of inspiriation?
  18. I'm not a fan of medleys, but this one was a pleasant surprise. Like someone stated a few pages ago, this does not seem like a medley at all (at least if you don't know all the songs), but more like a stand-alone song. The transitions do a very good job at keeping the mix going at high-speed, and the drums keep it pumping. Since I really love fast music, this mix is simply wonderful in my opinion. Great job.
  19. Better, but the bass is still too heavy. I also think that it takes a little too long until the song really starts. It less than 3 minutes long, but almost the whole first half feels like an introduction.
  20. QFE. The battle theme was one of my favourites from that game. Other than that, I really liked Koopa Beach (or whatever that was called) for some reason.
  21. Very ambient; this doesn't really have a melody save for the places where the Tourian theme comes in. Also, please fix the drums. They are waaaaaaay to heavy/loud.
  22. Yes, a remix of this song would be most wonderful.
  23. Sounds like something that would be played at a funeral. Not my cup of coffee.
  24. I like what I hear so far. But like the others said; this one needs a climax and a better end.
  25. Amazing. Seriously, that song is wonderful as it is. Improving it will (hopefully) only add to the awesomeness.
