Thanks guys for picking up and enjoying the album! <3
We are working on 2 albums right now - Sophomore Year and a second one, focused on just one game series.
ETA unknown, but it will be less of a wait than it was for this one!

Thanks, dude! I have another fun car driving music story for a future interview, which I hope will happen before too long.
This makes almost too much sense to me. Time Crush is an intense, undeniably good twist on a classic. Golden Flowers is sweet and satisfying. Wind in Your Hair is tangy and fun. I CAN TASTE THE MUSIC

I did actually spend some time thinking about the flavors and how they would be represented by the music. They might not all be completely perfect, but I think several of them are spot on.
-
I caved to peer pressure and bought the game. I have no experience in any real team games, so i'll be basically just running around and dying, but I like the art!

In case you were wondering, these flavors are canon:
Hope Springs Eternal - French Vanilla Swirl
Time Crush - Peanut Butter Fudge
DJ Snivy's Smooth Moves - Peaches and Cream
Jin's Tonic - Mint Chocolate Chip
Guitar Dragoon - Cookies and Cream
Wind in Your Hair - Orange Pineapple Sorbet
Golden Flowers - Caramel Praline
Femmes Fatales - Cherry Chocolate Chunk
The Witching Hour - Strawberry
Semper Saltare - Cookie Dough -
O MY WADDUP!

6 more days!
We are really excited to hear what you guys all think about the album! The physical discs are being produced and should arrive within the next day or so, and the digital ones are all being tagged.

Its really repetitive and the ending is weaksauce, but there are some nice elements as well. The compression is really heavy bit isn't to the point where it sounds detrimental. I think it could be a lot stronger overall, but I think it clears the bar.
Yes (borderline)

I think the arrangement ideas are great, and the soundscape is pretty nice, but there are a few areas of pretty strong dissonance that seem to be a rather large mistake, rather than an arrangement choice.
The pedal point starting around :34 is off key for around 5 seconds, and the run mixed with the same instrument at 1:22-1:24 is really harsh and kills the mood completely.
Clean those tonal sections up, and this is good to go.
No, please resubmit

I think if the mud can be cleaned up and in the mixing and some of the arrangement repetition could be eliminated (by expanding on or enhancing/altering), this would have a pretty good shot. It is close, but i think more development would make it a pretty easy include.
no, please resubmit

Sounds super easy to use, thanks guys! Once I play with it a bit i'll post some stuff in here and we can all have a violin party.

The glissandos are just portamento overlaps at low velocity.
Best news in forever. I'll be buying this and checking it out within the week.

These are sounding really good, and i'm considering picking up this violin package as well now baed on how good they sound. I want to try for myself!
Is it just velocity and modulation automation you are doing, or are there other parameters you are adjusting? If it's other stuff (expression?), how does it affect the sound? Are the glissandos just portamento overlaps, or do you need to switch to a different sample for that?

great info, thank you

How long should the finished songs be overall?
Based on the wrestling examples it seems like they start with a motif or callout of some sort to build hype, then the big downbeat for a reveal, so the beginning is the most important part. How much do we want to have beyond that?

cool idea! I entered too

Which champions are good for attack when you have no teamwork? It seems that in the few games i've played, its super easy to defend, but it's really hard to attack. Teamwork is probably the answer, but I never expect that, since people love to run in one by one and die. What champ can i pick to go in with one other lemming to fight it out and have the best chance of making progress?
