So I'm thinkin' Megaman Star Force is looking pretty cool (though I didn't really play the Battle Network games) but I dunno which of the 3 versions I'd get (I don't really care to buy essentially 3 of the same game). Is anybody else interested in this game and already know which they'd buy?

A co-worker had attended Virginia Tech, and he was absolutely dumbstruck that this could have happened there...he was talking about the worst crime in the area when he was there was under-aged drinking. It's a real tragedy.

I recall Starcraft: Ghost being cancelled completely, not just postponed...then again, maybe I'm just thinking of the Gamecube version. EDIT: oh yeah, quotes...

Got to play some this weekend, about 3 hrs. It's really great IMO. I'm looking forward to having more time with it soon.

Can you explain how's it's done in the Gamecube version? I'd really like to try it out (I also never saw the prompt in my 3 or 4 playthroughs, so I'm really curious what the trigger is).

Speak of the devil...just noticed they posted a hands-on impressions on IGN...along with a gameplay vid that isn't terrible quality. The vid looks pretty cool, and I'll go ahead and read that article now... EDIT: Read the hands-on, and watched the vid again...could end up being pretty cool. At this point, doesn't look nearly as good as RE4 to me, but still probably entertaining. EDIT 2: Yeah, Treasure Island Z is looking pretty fun as well.

So I was checking out the gameplay vid and trailer (different one than on Capcom's site btw ) for RE4 Wii Edition on IGN and it looks like they added some stuff. I never played the PS2 version and only saw a friend play it a little bit so I dunno what changes there were in that besides more extras, but I know at least in the Gamecube version Leon couldn't suplex opponents. Also, when playing as Ada you can now perform a fan kick, which I don't remember being able to do in Assignment Ada (as well as use a hookshot). I also don't recall el gigante being able to charge at you before quite as it does in the video. It'll be interesting to see what other little differences there are in the Wii Edition.

So long as there is no mechanical trouble with the car, it doesn't seem bad. I also highly recommend getting the carfax (assuming your friend's dad doesn't supply you with one in the first place) since it's always good to know the vehicles's history.

DK Bongo Blast is now confirmed for Wii (though we already pretty much knew that anyway). Apparently changed so instead of bongos, you use the wiimote/nunchuk. Oh well (not really a bad thing it used the wiimote/nunchuk now, though I was really hoping for at least one last game to use the bongos).

That would actually be pretty cool IMO.

I'm getting Pearl as well, though just cuz my friend and I preordered the two games from Gamestop.com and she wanted Diamond .

I disagree. I think Nintendo is going to be careful, as they have been so far, and very cautiously meter when games come out. I think between big releases (which will have ample space between them), they'll release smaller titles but make sure there's news of another big game to look forward to on the horizon. Seems to me that's what we've seen so far. Anyway, personally, I'm not gonna worry about '09 when it's not even half-way through '07 and we have no idea what the release schedule for the rest of the year (let alone next yr) will be like.

Got Yoshi's Island and Phoenix Wright: Justice for All this weekend, fun stuff (though it did take me a little bit to get into Phoenix Wright). Also ordered Final Fantasy Fables: Chocobo Tales since it was sold out at local stores...shipped today, should be here by Friday. Also, since Pokemon was in the same order as Super Paper Mario, I realized today I accidentally got it sent to my parents house. On the bright side, at least I didn't send it to my old dorm or something. On the down side, I prob won't be able to play Pokemon till the first weekend of May. Oh, question about Phoenix Wright. Which was more fun: the first or JFA? At some point, after I finish some of my backlogged games, I'll be looking in to getting the first one.

Ordered Super Paper Mario from Gamestop...and I didn't realize when I ordered it, but it shipped to an old address (my parent's house actually) so while it will arrive today, I won't even see it till Friday lol. Ah well.

No offense, cuz I like to dream as much as the next guy, but why are people talking about the next console from Nintendo when the newest one isn't even a year old yet?

Yeah, this far in the 360 is definitely the leader. I think it all depends on how well Nintendo can manage their sales momentum. I think they're doing a good job of it so far, slowly releasing their big titles (I'm guessing at most one every 3 months). I wouldn't be suprised if it's another full year before Prime 3, SSBB, and Mario Galaxy have all hit market. It'll be interesting to see how the Wii does after a full year on market, but so far it's off to a nice start.

Ok, cool, thanks. I had seen that old thread about t-shirts and hoodies never got updated with the name of the new distributor, but didn't think to look further than that. Anyway, think I'll be buying a few shirts for some friends too...that way I can revive this thread in a few weeks and talk about how many people in Seattle I've seen with OCR shirts .

I've known plenty of people who have heard of OCR and/or are fans of the music, though can't say as I've ever seen OCR apparel in person. Speaking of which, how do we buy shirts and whatnot now? Did the new distributor switch ever happen? Cuz if it's still possible to purchase a shirt, I've been wanting to do that...

That would have been really nice. I'm guessing RE4 will be a full-priced game, but personally I would buy it...ah damn, I gotta say it..."I'll buy it at a high price." Anyway, yeah, apperantly Capcom does hate us. The concept behind Umbrella Chronicles was really cool, and if they had kept the same basic layout as RE4 I'd imagine the game to be awesome. This doesn't sound like it'll live up to my expectations as a RE game for Wii, nor for an on-rails fps (since I doubt it'd be anywhere as good as Killer7). Anyway, just disappointed with the direction they decided to take it.
