  1. I really enjoyed Starfox Assault, though I never played Adventures (or whatever that first one was). While the controls and everything with the tank were rather sluggish and it took getting used to controlling Fox on the ground, I liked it overall. Also, never played Starfox Command but it seems like it's the game that people either liked it or hated it (wanna throw in the Mitch Hedberg "or thought it was ok"). Anyway, if they were to make a Starfox game like Assault game for Wii, I'd get it (and I know there will be a lot of dissenting opinions about this).
  2. Gotcha. Again, damn IGN for their inappropriate wording .
  3. Sweet deal. Can't wait to try it out!
  4. lol, whoops. Well, damn that IGN then (the first sentence in their article was "Today, Electronic Arts announced that its popular SimCity franchise would be returning, and this time it is getting the dual-screen treatment."). I wouldn't doubt that it will still definitely appeal to people out there and whatnot, but for me personally I got a little sick of the franchise during SimCity 2000's reign. For that reason, the DS version doesn't immediately appeal to me. Like I said, gonna take a wait-and-see approach (just gonna wait for the metacritic score to total, since I'm not interested in this enough to do further research).
  5. I wanna get Sonic, but it's pointless for me to get it right at this time (work and school is getting more time consuming, and my workouts are getting longer ...haven't had time to finish FFIII yet even). Definitely on my list of games I'm gonna get when time permits, though.
  6. Good to hear, good to hear. So I'm guessing the Avatar is basically NOD's supertank? I initially read it thinking Aang from the cartoon Avatar: The Last Airbender lol (dammit, that show kicks ass). I'm glad to hear about the superweapon limit, especially after playing against people who use the superweapon general online in Generals:Zero Hour (albeit haven't done that for a long time now). The construction of building, however, is once again queued on like the sidebar or something like the old C&C/RA? I guess I could get used to that again (though it sounds a little different, since you were saying you can queue several buidlings and deploy them at your convenience), but in that case do you have to basically click on a repair tool then click on the building you wish to repair, or is it automatic? One last question; what is the role of the support unit you mentioned? I'm not gonna have time to even install the demo till this weekend, so just getting all my curiousities out .
  7. For your predictions for April and May, I'd personally like to see those. It also makes me wonder if they release a new channel for March what it might be. As for the dvd channel (or giving the Wii dvd playback capability...as I see it, it would more likely be within the disc channel rather than it's own separate channel), I for one wouldn't have use for it but I also wouldn't be opposed to it. Just bought a new home theater during the summer, but I think my parents would enjoy the convenience of having dvd playback on the Wii (they've got a rather old dvd player hooked up to their main tv). Slightly off topic of what you were saying, but if they were to come out with say a special Metroid edition Wii at some point, I'd grab that up for sure (I'm a sucker for Metroid).
  8. SimCity DS announced today. SimCity is somewhat played out IMO, but who knows, might be fun. We'll see how it progresses, but there are many other games I'm more interested in at this point.
  9. First details of Space Station Tycoon on IGN today. I was pretty skeptical of the game initially, given the "Tycoon" title (I tried games such as Railroad Tycoon in the past and never particularly enjoyed them), but after reading the interview I gotta say I'm intrigued. Looking forward to hearing more info about this as it becomes available.
  10. Great job, man. I originally played through FFVII mainly so I could have a deeper appreciation for the remixes, and this remix makes me glad I did again. Can't wait for your next remix.
  11. So the mouse control is Starcraft-style then huh? Boo. Ah well, hopefully can be changed in options for the final game.
  12. lol, when I watch Scrubs or something of that sort with friends, during the dramatic part like when someone's vitals are dropping I like to yell out "I WILL SAVE THIS PATIENT!" Another friend will often like to yell out "DOCTOR!" or "DON'T DO THAT!" Ah, Trauma Center, you make everything so much more fun.
  13. My dad is gonna be excited to try this, he's been hooked on Command and Conquer since my brother and I played the first one way back when. How is it so far, for those who've played it?
  14. So, what are the chances of some Hunters online action this friday/saturday - who'd be up for it? Also, how many people ended up participating last Friday?
  15. It was cool, for like the first season or 2...basically until you knew that one particular bot/design would always win in a given division. Example: that spinning design would always win in lightweight. Sure, they tried spicing it up by doing different things, but I got bored of it after pretty much season 2.
  16. Seriously - I like how it hurts the patient when it isn't put on correctly . I had trouble with zooming out in the DS version from time to time as well as that. I really liked the DS game, but the Wii version is far superior IMO. Btw, about the clip on the back of the classic controller, looks like Nyko made something to connect into it lol.
  17. DOUBLE POST! So IGN has their hands-on impressions of Fire Emblem for Wii. I'm really excited for it, since I loved the FE for GC and this is gonna be pretty much an exact continuation of it (same engine, continuing the same story, etc). The big difference they noted was in terms of the story layout, which sounds cool to me (and it sounds like there's a total of 40 missions...4 stories with 10 chapters in each ). After seeing a couple of the new gameplay vids they posted, one changed I noticed (which I don't recall seeing in the previous scans) is the addition of a lifebar for each unit on the map screen. It'll make it so much easier than having to select someone to see how much health the character has left. Looking at PoR's release dates, the Japanese release date was 6 months earlier than the US one so I'm guessing we'll get it in August (but I'm hoping for even earlier than that )
  18. Damn, I haven't played Hunters in a while now and I'd love to get back into it (I must really suck by now). Not sure if I'll be available to play though (10 EST is 7 PST right?). If I find that I'm available to play and all that though, I'll pot my friend code on here prob an hr before you guys start playing. Also, I'll be playing on a different router than normal, so I'd have to make sure I'm able to maintain a stable connection through it (I don't wanna be a dc'er even accidentally).
  19. Interesting. Seems like a relatively worthwhile deal.
  20. Sweet. I know at least a few friends who'd also be very interested in going. This question might be a little premature for you to answer now (and definitely off topic), but do you know what city you'd be playing in?
  21. The top button is simply to disengage the clip on the back of the classic controller. The better question is what the hell the clip is for . So far nothing it seems, as nothing can be attached. I agree. It feels so nice to use, and is equally comfortable using the d-pad or the analog sticks IMO. It took some getting used to using the z buttons, but that's the only downside I can really think of.
  22. Oh man, I'd love to play Starfox 64 again; been such a long time. As for the rumble feature, I see no reason why it can't just be added later if/when they make updates to the VC games. I don't recall hearing whether the classic controller has a rumble, but that doesn't much matter given that it's connected to the wiimote (which obviously does have a rumble feature).
  23. Overall I definitely enjoyed the remix. A couple rough spots (that, to me, sounded like so much was going on at once it was chaotic), but the really great spots outweighed and outnumbered them as far as I'm concerned. First WIP I've had the pleasure of listening to related to a Wii game (and I hope not the only one for long) and it was defnintely good. Thanks for that!
  24. Man, it's sounds awesome but I'm a little too far away to get to check it out . If you guys play in the Northwest sometime, I'd be all over it.
