  1. 48.... really?... I figured that would be like the easyest just because of how popular those games are in the vgm community ... I think anyways. lol I havent gotten many, I just started.
  2. You can also use an electonic drumkit (I think only yamahas work with this), to play drummania on the ps2 (assuming you have a modded ps2 to play uhh.. imports yea). This is how I play beatmania. Basically you need a UX16 MIDI to USB interface, connect the midi to the electric drumset, and connect the usb to the ps2's usb port and off you go. Its very nice . heres me playing a song on my ps2 with my Yamaha DTXIVSP (though you cant really see the drums ) Anyways, you can just take this as a representation of how drummania is. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=i0mfXqRo9SA
  3. Heh, sorry my post was taken the wrong way. I dont have drum hate, I have a set of Yamaha DTXIVSP myself. I just find it tiring to hear so much about rockband, but never ever about drummania. heh, sorry if it sounded hateish
  4. UGH! Im sick of people talking about how "Rock Band drums translate to real drums so well bla bla bla" First off, dont get me started on rockbands drums. Secondly, the hat and snare are in the wrong placed. Thirdly.. DRUM FREAKING MANIA!!! Ok, there is NO music game out there that emulates a real instrument as well as drummania. The reason im upset about ppl talking about rockband so much is because they seem to neglect the Better drum game, which is drummania. Now, granted drummania is pretty much a JPN only thing, but still if people know about DDR/IIDX im sure they have heard about drummania. lol, and theres my rant of the day.
  5. haha that dual core you suggested was on my 2nd list . Also, 500 MB is goo enough.. :S. Its 2, 250 GB drives not 1. Anyways, yea I think the 2nd setup is more what Im looking for . As for the maudio thing, I think i;ll get the core system first, and then try and find more info/etc on sound cards and the such and buy one later.

With Audiophile 192 its $1246.76 With Delta 1010LT its $1296.76 Now, if I dont go with an M-Audio, then I dont know what I will get. As far as my sound card budget goes, I think 300 is gonna be my max. So either the 192 or the 1010LT is what Im going to get I think. So, does my first or 2nd setup look better? I like how the dual core is 3.0 GHz, rather than a quad at 2.4 or whatever. More processing power. Also the vid card I chose seems to be pretty good for its price. I think the mother board also comes with like 7.1 surround, so maybe one day I can make some 7.1 surround music ..... or 5.1.. lol yea.. anyways. What do you guys think?
  7. Hmm.. well im more thinking if I should get more GHz rather than more cores. Like I said, im not a big computer gamer. Also, I didnt want the 192 since I dont really need digital outputs or whatever. For midi, I only really need 1 midi in/out for now. I'll take a look at that mother board though. Also about the first reply, that thing about the gfx card is probably a good idea.
  8. hmm I looked at that, but they were useing some weird inputs. I need something with simple mic inputs, regular midi in/out (the 5 pin thing), and regular audio in/out.
  9. Not sure if this should go here or in help/newbies, if it doesnt belong here, please move it Anyways I'll post what I want, then the list of stuff im considering, then a few questions that people might be able to help with. Alright, so I need a new pc anyways, and I am going to build it myself, and since im not really a hardcore pc gamer kinda guy, I figure ill build it for music/production instead since I need a good pc for that anyways (currently I am using my laptop for music production) Anyways, here is my list of parts I am considering. RAM: OCZ Platinum XTC PC2-6400 4GB 2X2GB DDR2-800 CL5-4-4-15 DDR2 240PIN Dual Channel Memory Kit Motherboard: ASUS P5E-VM HDMI mATX LGA775 G35 DDR2 PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 PCI SATA2 RAID Sound HDMI VGA Motherboard Processor: Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Quad Core Processor LGA775 Kentsfield 2.40GHZ 1066FSB 8MB Retail Box Power Supply: OCZ Stealthxstream 600W ATX12V 20/24PIN Active PFC ATX Power Supply 120MM Fan Black HD: Western Digital Caviar SE16 250GB SATA2 7200RPM 16MB 8.9MS Hard Drive Audio Card: M-AUDIO Audiophile 2496 PCI Digital Audio Card 24BIT/96KHZ SPDIF Midi (http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Audiophile2496-main.html) or M-AUDIO Delta 1010LT (http://www.m-audio.com/products/en_us/Delta1010LT-main.html) Tower: Thermaltake SopranoRS 101 Mid Tower ATX Case Black 4X5.25 2X3.5 5X3.5INT No PSU Side Window HeatSink: Scythe Ninja Copper 6 Heatpipe Fanless Heatsink AM2 LGA775 S478 S754 S939 Limited Edition ok so, first off, should I go for the quad core, or should I just go for a really good dual core? More Ghz vs More Cores? Whats your take? Now, as for the sound card. I dont want a usb/firewire thing because I would rather have something directly connected to my motherboard. At first I thought about the Audiophile 2496 since I for sure want MIDI in/out as well as some audio in, but then I started thinking that I would definitely like some Mic inputs, as well as more audio in/out ports so I could possibly record multiple things at the same time (thats what its for right?) This is why I figured I might go for the Delta 1010LT. Any info on either of thems would be helpfull as well. Any other suggestions for any of the parts Ive chosen would be very helpful. If you have experience with any, or can suggest better ones for what I want, that would be awesome Again, anybody that can offer me any info, THANK YOU VERY MUCH! It will me very much appreciated.
  10. hahaha oh man, has anybody noticed that Gannondorf has a sweet ass Sparta Kick? Me and some friends found this out and made a stage with a big hole in the middle and did some sparta reinactment . Also, Donkey Kongs, side taunt has got to be the funniest thing I have ever seen.. Im not even kidding. Me and my friends did that taunt for like 5 minutes, and we couldnt stop laughing. ahh good times.
  11. Ahh sorry I didnt see... If I reroll do I get the choice between the new roll and the old one? If so, then I'll re roll, if not then I'll just accept and you can lock me in.
  12. heh, well I mean it just seems like it takes too long to get in to the real meat of things. If you notice like FF games and such, battle themes kinda start out with a bang and keep going like that. From what I noticed . haha, im just one oppinion
  13. Hmm really nice track. I love the arrangement youve got here. Definitely a nice battle theme. Personally I think this would work better as a boss theme, because its quite long. I think hearing the small beginning for every little battle wouldnt be epic enough . But yea, my oppinion is that this would work better as a boss theme. VERY NICE (Thumbs Up)
  14. hahaha yea.. I was waiting on getting one because I was hoping my uncle still had his . I'll probably buy one this week sometime. lol.. playing on that chair is quite awkward
  15. Well they finally came last night. Took me about two hours to set up (I didnt see there were instructions at the bottom of the box ). Tonight I have to set everything in the places that I like em, and tighten everything up. Played on em a bit too, awesome awesome stuff. I am incredibly happy. Thanks for all the help guys . Pics later
  16. Haha.. well there is an updated version somewhere in the WIP forum, so I suggest you check there After I uploaded that, I havent worked on it much since. Not sure where to go again
  17. http://apps.facebook.com/ilike/artist/djsymbiotix Gotta upload some stuff XD... (yea I know I dont have anything on ocr yet ;()
  18. Hmm, so I went there today. All around town, the price was around $1690. We got them down to $1666. Now, either I was going to buy a good pedal, or get them to throw one in. We convinced them to throw one in. I think its one of the pedals that comes with some lower end electronic set, but I think thats good enough for me. Either I get this one free, or I buy a high quality one. I'll use this one for now, and when I get more money / need a better petal, I'll buy a good one. Anyways, it'll be a few weeks at least so looks like now I'm playing the waiting game.
  19. Yea ok... so I dont know where I'm going with this, but its completely different from the other remix I tried doing. (lol dont ask me why I keep doing this song... its beyond me. Maybe I just really like the source tune ) The other day I was messing around with my piano, and I was messing around with the traces source tune and I was like "Hmm this bass line sounds cool". So I threw some stuff together in Reason today and came out with this. Its pretty minimal, but I like the groove. Let me know what you guys think, and also if you think I should expand on it and try to get it accepted. DJ SymBiotiX - Traces (Interlude)
  20. Alright, well ive decided pretty much. Yamaha DXPIVSP Tama HP900P or Tama HP900R or Yamaha FP8210 And I'm gonna need a throne as well, but I'll just pick one out at the store. Tonight me and my father are gonna go to the yamaha store and try to haggle our way to a good price . Thanks for all the help
  21. hmm ok. Now for the very random question . Is there something I could buy/create to somehow hook this up to a ps2 to play drummania with? (just a little side project if its possible) Edit: so I did a bit of reasearch and actually found somebody talking about this on a forum. Turns out I already have the thing to make it work. You need a Yamaha UX16 Midi to Usb interface, I guess you plug the midi from the drums to the usb of the ps2, and it recognizes it like that. I already had the interface for an old keyboard I had that used USB ports. haha awesome. So, I think I'm set on the DXPIVSP. If you could, would you be able to recommend a few bass pedals (some cheep, and some around 100 or so). Now I just have to go check out some more stores, and find a good deal. If you see any for the DXPIVSP let me know Edit: Ok so I did some quick googling. and I found these. Do you have any info for the credibility of some of these sites. Some are offering the set at a lower price, with a bunch of stuff included. I just dont like trusting stuff on the internet off the bat (the 2nd one is the one you linked me to) 1. http://www.contoismusic.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=DXPIVSP $1,499.99 Comes with: FPDS2 Drum Pedal and Throne Package RH3C Professional Stereo Headphones __________ 2. http://www.massmusic.net/shop/?shop=1&cat=1625& $1,599.00 __________ 3. http://www.musiciansbuy.com/YAMAHA-DXPIVSP-DTXpress-IV-Special-Edrumset-wFREE-Throne-Pedal-Headphones-dxpivsp-dxpiv-sp-DXPIVSPKIT.html $1,499.99 Comes with: GIB 5611 Kick Pedal Yamaha RH2C Full Sized Headphones GIB 6608 Drum Throne Moto Style HOSA CPP410G Dual 1/4 Cable __________ 4. http://www.nstuffmusic.com/pm-3106-10-yamaha-dxpivsp-electronic-drum-kit.aspx $1,449.99 __________
