  1. I just wanted to say that I used this song to cure the small bout of insomnia I had the other night - it's perfect for calming down and relaxing. I'm interested to hear what else you can do - please do post the updated version, I think it'd be very nice to hear.
  2. I like the Pirates thing you have going on - a very nice arrangement. The transitions are a little shaky, and like others have said, it's not the most "wowing" piece out there, but it's a very good tune nonetheless. Excellent job - if this piece is as old as you say, I'm looking forward to seeing how you've developed since then.
  3. This song has the funk. Nice one - this is a great first mix. Looking forward to the future of one Rozovian.
  4. I'm absolutely loving the soundtrack - this is an amazing feat. Unfortunately I don't own either an Xbox or PS3, so I won't be playing the game anytime soon. *cries* Maybe I'll convince my friends to download it and play it over there...
  5. You're like the Michael Phelps of ReMixing! (Oh wait - someone used that already.) Seriously though, this latest one was simply awesome. It made something as simple as eating a bowl of potato salad (what I was doing at the time) seem epic beyond compare. You rock, and I am yet again reminded why I'm trying to learn the guitar.
  6. This is yet another great album! Just got the torrent and might I say I like it a whole lot more than the first one. Keep up the good work people - this one of the aspects of OCR that I really enjoy. Oh, and while I do think Thin Crust has a point up there, any new album is a pleasant sight for me.
  7. Well, after the doctors got my heart beating again after my initial spaz-out at seeing some more Beatdrop amazingess posted, I listened to probably one of the best tracks I have heard in a long time in this style. I've been a fan of yours ever since I discovered Catapult, and you continue to be astounding. Keep up the great work, man - you rock.
  8. I thought this was brilliant - the guitar really ties the whole thing together and makes it sound great. The Zimmer influence is really cool too. Excellent job, you two should work together again in the future.
  9. My only complaint is that my speakers are turned all the way up and I still don't feel it's loud enough. Other than that, solid on the arrangement and the killer guitar. Keep it up - I hear where you're coming from with the complicated life, but don't let it drag you down, alright?
  10. This was really good. I agree that the transition into the piano was a little shaky, but it wasn't bad, and overall the song has a really nice feel. You do a really good job on this - I'm looking forward to more.
  11. Wow, at first I was going to post a complaint of how this song is basically 8 minutes of the same thing, but then I realized my player was looping it. I think you could've done a lot more with it - it just seems like it never got really exciting or high-energy. The little solo thing was pretty cool. Not one of my favorites of yours, but I'll keep it around for when I need a cool, smoke-filled entrance while wearing a tuxedo and sunglasses.
  12. This is epically hilarious. I'm loving it more and more. See, this is what I like about AnSo. He can diversificate to full extent.
  13. The solos are what really make this piece. For me the beginning is kind of weak, but then it picks up with the killer sax solo, followed straight up by that amazing guitar. For me the melody didn't work to well - it was kind of flat in parts. I didn't necessarily notice percussion problems, but overall this is an excellent piece. More jazz, more jazz!
  14. There is an entirely too large deficit of jazz on this site, and so I go nearly insane whenever an amazing jazz remix like this one shows up. Superb, excellent, top-notch, [insert praising adjective here], keep it up! We need a ReMix project for Jazz.
  15. So since when is Blood on the Asphalt being used in the game? When did I miss that one? But anyways that's an awesome interview. (Although it's kind of weird to see the name Liontamer associated with a picture other than that little Bowser icon...)
  16. I really didn't get much at all out of this one. Admittedly it did sound better the second time I listened to it, but as of now I hear a beat and some effects, looped for a while. If that's what you were going for, then it's great, but otherwise...
  17. This is lovely. I really, really like piano ReMixes, and this one is great. I just got a new computer and have spent half the day re-downloading everything via Bittorent, and this is a nice refreshing new mix that is giving me energy. Keep up the good work!
  18. For me, an OCReMix has to be equal to or better than the original track. Now, I don't know if it's just because I've been inundated with the song recently, but this in particular is not doing it for me. I'm in agreement with teh Snapple here about the awkwardness, but I'm not even sure that replacing the guitar with something real will help. The orchestral part simply isn't lining up with the beat - it's slightly behind, entrance isn't clean, etc. I like 1:02 on, probably because you backed off on the percussion a bit, but overall it feels...almost forced. If you could get it to line up a little better I think it'd be much improved, and decide whether or not you want the beats to overpower the orchestral like they're doing now.
  19. Definitely one of my favorites from VotL. Love 1:35 when the awesome run thingy comes in - really "kycks the adrenalyne" if you catch my drift. Then of course there's the words - pure awesomeness. Giving a thumbsup!
  20. One of the best Harmonica solos I've heard in a long time. (Dead serious right here - I've heard some pretty bad ones recently.) Song is amazing - you nailed it right on the head, buddy. Excellent.
  21. This from the guy with Dethklok in his signature. Actually, I've also wanted to hear a ReMix of this theme. I'm sort of caught up in another project at the moment, but if it still hasn't been done I might get to it.
  22. Not since Chrono Symphonic have I heard an orchestral ReMix of this quality, not to mention it's a freakin' medley! It's extremely awesome, I especially love the nice brassy sections. It's very well written and I commend thee!
  23. On the flip side of that, what if a new person came here, having absolutely no previous experience with OCR, and clicks on a ReMix. Well, it happens to be of a genre they don't like. This immediately makes their first impression a bad one. They might be a little more open minded, but chances are they won't stick around for much longer. However, if they were able to search for a particular genre that they would like, and they found a great one, then they'd be more likely to stick around, and eventually they'd probably branch out. If you really think about it, people are not going to stop coming once they've exhausted every jazz ReMix on the site. They'll keep coming back and seeing other people react to other genres, which will spark the idea that hey, maybe they'll check them out. Classification by genre is going to do way more good than harm.
