As I've said elsewhere, I'm not necessarily a fan of the beginning of this one, but when the guitars hit around :45 I'm completely sold from then on out. Great stuff!

I really enjoyed this track. Definitely another favorite from the album, for me. I remember listening to it at the listening party, then BAM, vocals and awesome just blasted my ears and I was like "Whoa!". Great stuff.

That photoshop just killed me... haha. Okay, I didn't write up anything immediately afterwards, because I wanted some time to absorb the album so when I wrote about it it wouldn't be a big fapfest. Well, it still is, for the most part, but I do give some honest criticism. So yeah, I wrote up a very informal TL;DR "review" of the album on one of my blogs that no one ever really reads. Figured more exposure couldn't hurt? I didn't review each and every track, though. I don't think this has been asked. Feel free to flail me if it has. I just thought it'd be interesting. It's for any and all judges, really. How often do you vote yes or no on something, then read another judge's vote and commentary, take that commentary into serious consideration, and then change your vote based on what the other judge said?

Valkyrie Profile! Love this game. Love the music. Hm... I wish I was better at wording things when it came to music and could actually tell what instrument was what, but I can't. So I kinda have to be vague with this. The harp? I don't mind. It's.. everything else. Well, not the flute so much. But when the strings hit, they just don't mesh well for me. It just doesn't sound.. good? I wish I could offer actual advice for improvement, but you'd have to ask someone who knows what they're doing. :s That little.. tinkling sound annoys me too. If it were softer and more in the background, I think I could deal with it. As is, it's kinda up front and center, with the occasional note that's particularly loud compared to the rest. Overall, I like the beginning, and the harp, but it just kinda peters out from then on, for me. And I can't *clearly* pick the source out - but that could be my own failings right there. I'm not trying to be discouraging or a d-bag or anything. Just don't think it'd help if I wasn't honest. I'm hoping you work with this a bit more, see what you can come up with.

I'm glad I checked in this thread. I haven't been able to play midi files since getting ChipAmp either. Now I know why! And I have changed it and fixed it and can now play them again. Hooray. Thanks for the info!

Yeah, FF4 project struck me as having more rock and orchestra than electronic. It's all good though. Considering the little coverage Lufia gets, I'd be happy to see it under any genre. Except maybe death metal.

When I heard this on the teaser a while back, this was actually one of the tracks that stood out to me. I was all "Ooo" and couldn't wait to hear the rest. I'm very happy that the track in its entirety didn't disappoint me *at all*. It's beautiful, and I love the atmosphere of it. It really captures the betrayal theme imo, and this really works for Kain to me.

bLiNd is awesome in that he can make a song in a genre I have 0 interest in but I end up loving it anyways. I just wanna dance to this every time I hear it. It'd be like.. the best Stepmania song ever. XD But yeah, spectacular job. Srsly.

I'll be honest - this was one of my favorites from the album. It's amazing to me that so many people worked on this with the singing and managed to make it sound good and merge well with the music rather than detract from it. And I enjoyed the translated lyrics. Many times I think lyrics (even if sung well) on songs on this site come out corny or cheesy. But I felt these were poignant but still simple. Very Fabul. Very Yang.

Yes! *Amazing* job to everyone involved in this masterpiece of an album. <3<3<3 I'm totally writing something more indepth on it later when my eyeballs don't feel ready to drop from the sockets.

I'm really hoping I can make this! I've really been looking forward to this project (I'm sure my friends are tired of hearing me gush about it). And FF4 Trivia? XD I'm curious to know if I still remember much about it... I used to obsess hardcore over this game. It was my favorite of the series until I played FF12.
