  1. I look at it this way: Better to teach him a lesson now rather than later on in life. Give him life lessons, if you will.
  2. Red alert! Everyone to your positions! Gunners get those turrets active! Tally ho!
  3. Awesome design on the website.
  4. Will buy. I haven't even heard it yet and I know I will.
  5. Thats pretty awesome. I like how you mixed it up now and then.
  6. Get it anyway and hope it works. If it does not, bite the bullet and install XP Pro.
  7. You could try that, though it can't be guaranteed to fix anything. The board is quite new, i'm not even sure there has been a new BIOS released yet.
  8. According to google, a bazillion other people are having this problem as well. This was one of many: It seems that this board is extremely finniky when it comes to memory. Nor surprise there, Asus boards have always been that way. Unfortunately, in a lot of cases I found the board eventually died, and Asus sent a replacement and the same thing happened. Seems to be a problem with the way the board is designed.
  9. Hard drives don't reset per say, they just get really hot and you start seeing read and write errors
  10. Not really, the closest thing to that would probably be the voltage monitoring system in Speedfan. What it does is tell the volts being sent to all the components, and if something is amiss there will be a huge drop or spike. My theory goes like this: When you are transferring those huge files, the 12v rail(s) in your current power supply get stressed. Since its so cheap, it can't hold that power for long times, thus you get random reboots.
  11. i found it already, thanks though That Rosewill should be more than capable of powering your system, on paper anyway. I would try hooking it up, as the power supplies that come in cases often aren't the best quality due to cost cutting measures. I couldn't even find specs on the one that came with that case anywhere.
  12. It is always better to overate with a power supply than underrate, but I am just used to people going OMGZZ I HAVE TWO HARD DRIVES I NEED 1000 WATTTTS
  13. I am not a huge fan of rosewill, but that sounds like it should be fine. I need the 12v+ ratings of the power supply to really tell you though.
  14. what exactly is the one you have in there rated for? There should be a sticker on the side that tells you. Look for how many amps are on the 12v+ and how many watts there are. oh god no More like a good 300-400 watts (if that) with one or two good 12v rails
  15. Hard rebooting is quite a hard thing to diagnose. It could be anything from a power supply issue to a program conflict. If it does it again, remove the antiviruses altogether and then try. Oh, you might want to change the thread title, its kind of misleading.
  16. Don't remind me. Unless you are in a really high rated power supply, they usually don't hold enough to kill you. But my god jesus fuck in high heaven does it hurt.
  17. In addition most are left by themselves outside of the tube itself, so unless you know what to avoid touching, you wont know until after you get zapped. Ive seen it happen once, it wasn't pretty. Luckily, the caps only had enough juice left to knock the guy out, not kill him.
