  1. Ooooooo!! I think you might be on to something here, man! XDAnd you'd be ok about singing Living in the City too?
  2. I would just like to say i'd love to see you tackle 'Number One'! I remember you and me toying with the same idea for VROOM before we went with the other song option, so seeing you possibly remix this track for this project instead at some point down the line has my support! Because if it's anything like your track for VROOM i know you're going to kill it, man!
  3. Oh, if only SEGA would swoop in and do something like this with us one day too. In any case, my knowledge of Mega Man is very limited but it doesn't take a genius to see how much of a great opportunity this is for both the remixers involved but OCR's standing in the Video Game Industry as a whole. Nice one, guys. Have fun with this!
  4. And that's partly why i really loved that wip you sent me of it, you find a great balance with the lyrics while still making it your own. You can definitely sing some amazing shiiii- mayn.I really do want to see you sing something on here somewhere, if possible. I vouch for the Tuber vocals! XD
  5. Oh, most definitely, whatever i end up doing for a verse will be on the same topic as the song in question. Lol, you won't see me getting side tracked in to a gangsta-rap, for example! XD It's definitely going to be a rap about the 'city'! And i agree, this project will do good with a variety of vocalists who can all nail the singing well hopefully keeping each track diverse a little. I speak with Jordan (Sir J/Damashii!!) a LOT about this kinda of thing so maybe we can find a few people here and there who may be interested. But more on that if/when the project starts rolling. And for the art, sure thing! Happy to be of service. Just let me know when you need to start looking for an artist and i'll start the hunt! Also, i should put this out there that if anybody else was looking to remix Living in the City then by all means go for it, i'd just like to request a 16 bar verse slot somewhere on the track. I wouldn't want to hold an artist out if they're also looking at City, but it would be cool if they can consider me for a rap feature! Just figured i'd better put that out there in case my claim for it seemed like i was hogging the whole track down, lol. Alright, i'll try to keep an eye on this topic as much as i can in case it starts moving forward at any point. If i go ghost on it though and you don't hear from me, Wildfire you have permission to smack me around the head with pm's/facebook/wherever and let me know things are developing. I'm trying to keep on top of VROOM right now but i don't want to miss updates on this!
  6. Yeah, that's cool man. Thanks for clearing it up for me And no doubt. Halc's back from his honeymoon next week. The second he's back in, we're scooping up Damashii!! and cooking up something proper for you to listen to asap, man! Actually can't wait to start working on this properly. I take it the lyrical direction was ok with you then? I'll be tidying them up a bit and so they flow better, maybe switching up some words with different syllables so i can get more out of a bar or two, but for the most part if you're ok with the lyrics then that's what i was thinking of going with.
  7. Yeah, you're probably right. The soundtrack is not that large anyway so you could probably do a whole EDM album of it and still get each track sounding different from one another. In any case, i'll see how things go for me over the next 6 months and if things clear up a tad i may just jump on somewhere, maybe. (i really want to do a 16 bar featured rap verse on something like Living in the City, been meaning to do that for years) ..almost in a modern take of this . That's been a personal goal of mine for an OCR mix.Anyways, yeah. Good luck with it, regardless if i jump on or not -EDiT- ..ok, been thinking about it and the thought of possibly being featured for a rap verse (if you'll allow me) is intriguing me. As i said, i've wanted to jump on a Sonic R track for years, ever since i've been here. It would be kinda silly for me to turn this chance down. And if we did push it as a mini-EP through OCR that would be wicked! Just like the Eevee EP XD Can i request that you put my name down for a featured rap verse for Living in the City? Just a feature, i won't be remixing/producing anything as i don't have those kinds of skills (yet), but i would like to have the chance to be a featured vocalist on one of my favourite songs, if you'll have me on board for that -EDiT 2.0- Oh. And if you need an artist for album art on board, i can hook you guys up. I'm connected to the SEGA fan communities, art head hunting seems to be my kinda thing lately. Done it for the Sonic CD project, currently doing it for VROOM, so i can offer the head hunting services for this too, if you need anything like that.
  8. Love Sonic R's music and i'm one of the rare few that feel the original songs actually do hold up well today, cheesy lyrics aside. But then again i'm one of the old skool kinda guys, 1990's music is what i love. Dance and House music in the UK during those years pretty much sounded like what we got in Sonic R so i dig that soundtrack greatly. I love EDM too, not sure about making the entire album EDM based, but then again this is not my idea. But like i said in the Knux Chaotix suggestion thread, i feel it may be a bit too soon just now. Plus, i really need to get VROOM out the front door as that has some Sonic R stuff already on there too. Once all that is out of the way i see no reason why this idea couldn't become an actual project, yeah. -edit- woops sorry, posted at the same time as you. but yeah XD
  9. Indeed. You didn't get back to me personally about that rehearsal i sent you, but i feel the need to reiterate that it was really just that, a rehearsal for my collaborators to hear so they had an idea of where i'm taking it lyrically. The proper wip will have all that neatly in time and sounding like a proper track, and not some dude sitting in his bedroom fucking around on a microphone to the original source, lol.So, ok then. Where do we go from here? What's the deal with deadlines now that some have been dropped and what does that mean for the rest of us? Are we still doing individual deadline dates then or will we be facing overall group deadline dates for the project as a whole now?
  10. It is inevitable that someone will come along and start a project for this game, but i agree that we should probably wait until Sonic CD: Temporal Duality has released and had a bit of a clean run before we even consider the next Sonic project album. Knux Chaotix has quite a few tracks and it would need to have quite a few remixers on board to claim those songs so we could have a big enough roster of people to push this through and get it completed, and i'm not sure if we'll have those people ready so soon after Sonic CD. Everyone is kinda busy with their attentions being drawn to other projects too. Aside from the Sonic CD album, we had the Sonic Zone Remix Competition last year which blasted a magnitude of Sonic remixes out. Then we've got the SEGA Racing album project VROOM which contains one or two tracks from Sonic R, so we got some Sonic related stuff coming through there too. But yeah, tl;dr - down for a Knux album at some point, though it probably shouldn't happen just yet otherwise it wouldn't get the full attention it deserves.
  11. Ffs. You know when you're singing a hook line from a song in public but you don't even notice you're singing it? yeah.
  12. ---------------------------------------------------------------"Singing in my gay voice!"------------------- -----------------------[DiGi Valentine] -----------------------------[Damashii!!]--------- you keep killing me like this you're going to have to start paying for the coroner to come pick up my corpse, fam! XD -EDiT- yes, i just downloaded it too. because i really want to bust this tune on max volume while on the bus and rolling through the hoods.
  13. I have not actually spoken to you though we may know of each other through mutual persons. On that note, good sir, i bid you Happi Birtdeh, mon!
  14. Lol, sure thing, Professor DusK! We'll be good, i swear! XDSending a PM over to ya now~
  15. Oh. Well, didn't you just come along and kill us with this lyrical ish? XD Sicker than the sickness, Meta. The flow was on point. Love it!
  16. Ok, i understand. Well, i'm not sure how much of a WIP you'll consider this to be, but i have written the lyrics for our tune and did a rehearsal take to show to halc what i had in mind lyrically for our claim. Granted, there's no actual work done on the production side of it seeing as halc will be out for a while but we will most definitely be working on this tune properly once he gets back, i can assure you on that. This track is too important for me to lose so there will be work done to it once he's back, you have my word.If you'll accept my rehearsal take (i'm literally just rhyming over the original track) as a WIP for our claim then i would extremely appreciate it. Let me know if you want to hear it and i'll send it over.
  17. I love EDM. I love Streets of Rage. EDM + SoR = all the love in the world! This is great, man! I'm really digging this tune.
  18. DusK - Did halc get in touch with you about our track? If not, let me know and i'll PM you. Cheers~
  19. Clearly, i missed this being posted other wise i would have said something sooner. I've already told halc personally how much i loved the track, but i got to show some love here. This is a great song, i just love the vibe of it! Just ...purely amazing! Nice one, hal to the c!
  20. Lol, i'm usually head hunting artists all the time, myself. I'll echo what has been said here and say head to DeviantArt as that's usually the best place to find a visual artist for what you're looking for. I usually end up spending a few hours trying to locate the artists i need, but it's worth it when trying to lock down the most suitable ones who can create what you require. I think DA have forums too so you can pretty much just copy-paste this request thread over there and see who hits it up. Around here you're only going to find over-worked musicians screaming about the fifty million deadlines they gave themselves! Happy head hunting!
  21. I can't believe Jordan kept this quiet from me! XD (he probably knew i would fan-gasm over it) (which i have just done). Kid Chameleeeoooon at its SICKEST! Great work, man. Absolutely stunning remix! Love it!
  22. You know, I'm honestly really trying to avoid checking out the wips because part of me wants to savour the moment of listening to the album with complete fresh ears ...but every time i hear the stuff from the trailers i want to go hit up all the threads in the project forum and dive right in. Everything is just sounding amazing to me, all the little snippets here and there. Let's just release it now. F*ck it. I can't wait any more. My body was ready last year! T_T
  23. Yeah, Ledger did have quite a backlash during the initial announcement but the crowd started warming up to him when the trailers hit. I guess i'll wait to see the trailer for this film to properly start gauging how an Affleck's take on Bruce Wayne will look. I do agree with what someone else mentioned, i can see Affleck as Bruce Wayne ...but donning the dark knights outfit? I guess i just keep seeing him in the mask for when he was in DareDevil and going "...ah, maybe not." But again, i'll keep my judgement open for now. Regarding Affleck's acting, he most certainly has uffed up quite a few things but for the things that he's done well in i honestly do have to commend him for. I really did like his character in Good Will Hunting, he acted real nice in that film. But things like Armageddon ...yeh, not so much.
  24. THIS!And Ledger's Joker was a phenomenal take on the character, one that i loved! Granted, i'm not quite sure how Affleck could make the role of Bruce Wayne memorable for the right reasons ...but for once i won't pass judgement until i've seen it on screen. He could win me over just like Ledger did. As long as they don't slip in to Batman & Robin movie levels of terrible then i think we're ok. I hope.
