  1. Talk to the prophet of mephisto, he has a business building computers, he'll get you a good deal.
  2. I reeeeally want to sig that.
  3. Once I get to know a person with a certain avatar, I can't imagine them without it, I see the mage and think "prophet", it really bothers me when 2 active people have the same avi...
  4. Hit edit, then choose the "Advanced" edit button, you can change the topic from there... Christmas Album! Sweet, I'm all over it, downloading now. This could be a great tradition.
  5. Source SDK comes free with any game based on the source engine (such as HL2, or TF2). In the SDK there's a model maker, a mod maker, and Hammer World Editor (map maker). I'm not sure what the old mapmaker was like, but I use hammer and it gets the job done.
  6. lol, awesome, hope to see you all playing tonight!
  7. I didn't have any trouble, I just shortened it to half it's size and did a quick quantize.
  8. Fix it bonzai! Where is everyone! TF2 has been dead for days! You're supposed to be sick of L4D and come crawling back to TF2 by now!
  9. http://www.soundsnap.com, If you search with the right terms you'll find something, try blacksmith.
  10. Thanks, awesome deal, just joined up, referred you zircon. So this thing unlocks after the buy is closed I'm assuming? It's nice to know that I don't need to decide which options I'm picking until later... Edit: Group buy is extended until tuesday...
  11. I work slowly, what can I say... I have a busy schedule.
  12. Well, I don't know where you could find a guide like that, I'd just make them off the top of my head and use other puzzle games for examples... If you're looking for block pushing puzzles or something, Adventures of Lolo is king. As for platformers though I'm really not sure. If you can get us some specifics maybe we can all come up with a few puzzles.
  13. Argh! I can't decide in time, I'm trying out the philharmonik demo now, and while it's not *Superb* It's a lot better than the collection of soundfonts that I'm using right now... I know it's not a definitive orchestra or anything, and that I'd probably need to upgrade later, but I'm tempted to have at least 1 orchestral library on hand, I've already got some synths.
  14. Hrmm, I just downloaded the Sonik Synth 2 demo, and I'm not terribly impressed, so unless the demo sounds are just really sucky, not to sound like a broken record now, but I'm considering the orchestra again...
  15. I might have trouble getting mine in on time... Go on without me! Then again maybe i'll just enter a mediocre unfinished piece and let my Hobokian rival finally beat me...
  16. Hold the phone here, so if you want the actual Sample tank, you need to sacrifice your second choice for it (at least that's the vibe I'm getting from the offer site, it has Sample Tank 2.5 listed in the second choice list)? Apparently only the engine is included... that changes everything, now I need to decide between sample tank, sonik synth AND philharmonik, not fair! I'm kind of confused actually, some places say that it comes with Sample Tank 2.5, but the main site has it listed as an option...
  17. Hey everyone, just took a look at Zircon's deal thread, and I'm interested in picking this up. The main problem I'm having right now is deciding between Sample Tank 2.5 L (the site says only the engine is included?), Sonik Synth 2 and Miroslav Philharmonik Classik orchestral. I'm a beginner-moderate remixer and am interested in orchestral, but am primarily doing other types of material right now. I'm interested in both, but realize that if I get the Miroslav then decide to get serious with Orchestral I'll probably have to upgrade. I've heard great things about Sample Tank too, but I'm not sure whether to get that or Sonik Synth, which has more? I'd like any words of recommendation or anything that you can give, or if you'd like to recommend something else in the bundle (However I'm not a guitarist). Also, I'm running FL Studio, I've heard that FL Studio can have problems transmitting on multiple midi channels (which is pretty crucial for things like sample tank) do these problems exist? Or do they work fine? Thanks! My specs: Intel Pentium D CPU 2.8 GHz, (2 CPUs) 2046mb RAM Soundcard: SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [DCCO] Hopefully they'll all run fine on that.Get back to me as soon as possible, it needs to be ordered by the 28th!
  18. Sounds great, especially with Christmas coming up. For the choices what would you recommend for someone who is starting out remixing? I'll go with t-racks for the first one, since I'm not a guitarist, but what about the other choice, excluding the guitar stuff? I'm leaning towards Sonik Synth or Miroslav Philharmonik Classik. I've heard great things about T-racks, but Mastering plugins aren't really what I'm looking for right now. Hurry as I don't have much time! Also, would most of those run okay on: Intel Pentium D CPU 2.8 GHz, (2 CPUs) 2046mb RAM Soundcard: SB Audigy 2 ZS Audio [DCCO] Edit: I made a thread: http://www.ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?p=479586#post479586
  19. Make sure you have the "send loop position" under compatability in the wrapper drop down enabled, also check the "disable transport" button on the Glitch GUI, it should be off. I doubt these are the problem, but it's all that I can guess.
  20. Another cool idea to help waste away time, I'd love to see a montage of these once a good amount are done, maybe I'll wallpaper my room with OCReMixes!
  21. I'll be pledging my support this time again. Good luck to all of you, may the best song win, and may it be yours!
  22. Which is the infamous line? My memory is a little rusty...
  23. It would be a cinch for valve to make it a different prop model though, and using hammer (the map editor), if valve just gave the flag a "visibility" option then you could simply parent a different model to the original flag. It would literally be a cinch! Maybe I'll send a message to valve later today. Also, something like reverse ctf would be extremely easy to do without even stretching the limits, you'd just put their flag in your base and the capture zone in their base. In the way hammer is used for making maps, pretty much any variant or idea that you want to do is possible, I like stretching it to its limits (ctp_epsilon). I'm almost done my newest map too, it's an alpine style King of the Hill style cp map.
  24. Please sacrifice 1 day of the week from L4D for the unfortunate few left in the dust... . YOU BETTER BE THERE! Nice password by the way, Also, since we've been adding a lot of custom maps lately (and some of them are actually quite good, egypt anyone?) I'd like to petition for cp_avante_b2, it's a remake of a TFC map for TF2, so it was obviously good, it has multiple rounds, and its style and layout reminds me of dustbowl (but different) and EVERYBODY loves dustbowl. http://forums.tf2maps.net/downloads.php?do=file&id=719 It'd be great if we could have it up for tonight, but everything is up to you guys.
  25. Thanks! That's exactly what I wanted, works great, it's too bad about the quantize thing, but I can work around that.
