finished Gobble Snarf Snap (Phantom Train FF6)
Draconiator replied to XPRTNovice's topic in Post Your Game ReMixes!
I found a ReMix with a similar style to this one ( http://ocremix.org/remix/OCR01466/ ). Oh Hey Flex, PM me please. You've done wonders with another track of mine, and I wanted to see if you'd be down with helping me on another track of mine. -

Are you guys that are supposed to be finished with your tracks ACTUALLY FINISHED? Seems unfair to me that everyone had a SET DEADLINE FOR TRACK SUBMISSIONS... AND 1 OR 2 PEOPLE GET SPECIAL TREATMENT. I mean...hell. If it were me, I would have NEVER done that. -

http://tindeck.com/listen/nkqd Sources are Snakeman's Theme from Mega Man 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O07GvoHM7hY Dark World Theme from Link to the Past (from 0:28 - 0:45, used as a chorus) - and (not implemented yet) Sonic 2 - Chemical Plant Zone (0:41 - 1:01, used as a bridge): Was inspired by messing around with Snake Man's theme in FL, hehe. Also, trying my hand at cutting up loops as well. Must thank jakesnke17 for helping me with it, you rock man

Don't lie, they were mine, right? ' -
Listen carefully - The main melody is being played by both the bass and main synth, supported by the strings in the background. it's liberal, but it's there. The last two notes of each 4-note phrase in the main synth is the source (played by the bass in the source; I think the first two throw people off) and the bass in my track has the same source notes close to that.

Update 9: So I was going to add another section after the breakdown that went on for another 40 or so seconds, but I struggled with exactly what to put in there for the longest time, and I tried LOTS of stuff. None of it fit, not even original stuff. So I was looking at it months later, and I decided to completely ditch that whole section and just go with what I have here. I tried Rozovian, but it only ended up stalling me... Anyway, I need to fix up the transition into the last section, because I accidentally deleted some stuff. Wouldn't be me if that didn't happen....oy The Mix: http://tindeck.com/listen/fqed Source is here: NOW WITH A BIT OF SECONDARY SOURCE:

If a source repeats a phrase but in a different key, do you have to put a keychange into your track as well to follow the source? I'm asking because I am remixing this: and it repeats the same phrase twice. The second time after the bridge (which I know I must add) and at a higher key (one semitone up actually). would it be okay if I more or less stayed at the same key?

I'm going to have to find a clear recording of this song so I can learn it, but... 0:17 - 1:28 of Jill of the Jungle. (Edited to put a better link of the song up)
