  1. Ow, that hurts to listen to. BUT THAT'S WHAT MAKES IT AWESOME
  2. Hey, thanks a lot! This works really well! I appreciate it!
  3. You should try to submit this on OCR.
  4. These are good points, I need to find out....
  5. No, we haven't settled on any kind of price yet; that's what I was hoping to do here. There's two hard drives because just this fall he bought a second unit in case his old one died, which it did, a few months later(RRoD). I'm not sure if he got that one new or not, but since you can get a new, basic XBox Arcade for $200, I was thinking that the console itself should be worth about $130? And yes, it's got HDMI ports (I believe...) Also, what would the 20gig hard drives be worth? So I would have to use his gamertag if I wanted to use that membership, huh? That's too bad, I was hoping I could just wipe the memory and start fresh. Is it possible to rename yourself and remove game saves and achievements? As for games, I'm pretty open-minded, but I'm trying to stay away from the more bloody and violent ones (Like GTA4 or Gears of War); Lost odyssey and Mass Effect look really interesting. Is Last Remnant also for 360?
  6. and I was wondering if you guys could give me any help on figuring out how much I should be willing to pay. We have no set price, so we're trying to do a bit of research to find out how much it's all worth. Here's what he's got: Hardware: Xbox 360 (of course) 2 20G hard drives 2 headsets 5 controllers (1 wired) 4 faceplates Games: Medal of Honor CoD 2, 3, 4, 5 Force Unleashed Brothers in Arms PGR3 Spider man 3 King Kong Kameo Battlefield 2 Battlefield bad company Superman Farcry 2 Grid He's also including a Gold XBox live membership that doesn't expire until summer sometime. The cords (Including component and HDMI) are all also present. Overall, I've got a couple questions: 1) how much is all this worth(individually and together. For example, I may not want to buy all the games, or controllers.) 2) What games should I look at getting on top of these, including downloadable ones? 3) Is it possible for me to a. create a new profile for myself and use the XBox live membership for that profile, b. reformat the entire thing but still use the membership c. have to use his profile? I greatly appreciate the help.
  7. "Embedding disabled by request"? what does that mean?
  8. Hey, thanks. I downloaded Audacity and I'm going to see if I can get it to work.
  9. Hey, I was wondering something. Most of the songs I write have a lot of instruments, and so when they all play (Or even when a few play, if the bass is too loud or something), after I export the song to iTunes, the sound quality is severely hurt and I have to lower the volume a ton in garageband before I can export it and have clear audio, without hissing or snowy sounds. I would like to know if there's any way (other than the 'adjust volume' settings in iTunes. That's more trouble than it's worth.) to increase the volume of the song after I export it and keep the sound quality high. I'm running OSX Tiger, so I don't know, maybe the newer versions of garageband fix this problem, but does anyone have any tips?
  10. That happened to me on my gamecube. I was using a 3rd party card that worked fine for several months, but then just corrupted itself. Goodbye Melee, Metroid Primes, and worst of all, 60+ hours of Baten Kaitos. I still haven't sat down and tried to play that game again, just because of how much effort I out into it the first time. Oh, and I lost my Skies of Arcadia data too. I got a new Nintendo one, and haven't had any problems with it.
  11. One thing that really bugs me is how people's perception of good graphics is always changing. I agree that art style is probably the most important aspect, as I can barely stand to watch let alone play a game that consists of no more than two colors: Brown and red. But for some reason people seem to think that only the absolute newest and greatest game can have "Good graphics" and anything else that came before it, regardless of how it was received at the time, has "Bad graphics". For example: I recently found Majora's Mask and started playing it for the first time, and I'm constantly impressed with the graphics. It's got very sharp textures, tremendous draw distances, nicely detailed character models and realistic character animations. And again, the art style is so strange and dark that I'm even more intrigued to see where it goes next! Majora's Mask has good graphics, especially for the N64, but even apart from it, the graphics are very good. Just because it doesn't stand up to gears of war doesn't mean the graphics are bad!
  12. Um, I'm a little confused. Just to clarify, does this mean that: 1) when you buy a game, you own the disk, but do not own the software? Instead you are... Oh, crap, I can't remember the term... Nintendo uses this term whenever they talk about VC games... 2) any fanmade game that uses any original work (artwork, music, etc) is illegal, whether or not they make any profit? Also, then what about games that use derivative work(i.e. redrawn sprites, etc.)? 3) while companies may release packets for fan sites (I hear), aren't they technically illegal because their using property that isn't theirs, even if they acknowledge this?
  13. Just keep in mind that the games do have an expiration date of when you can no longer do the survey.
  14. Yeeeeah, sorry. I had an unexpected errand come up. Hopefully next week!
  15. Good news: Canadians are in! I know how you feel, though. We get cut out of a LOT of good stuff, but at least this time we can get good stuff! Here's the list of rewards so far: https://club.nintendo.com/rewards.do I already sent away for the game, but the Game and Stylus cases look neat, but I don't really understand the point of the Wii Remote case. Also, what are Hanafuda cards?
  16. Looks like they finally got this started up! I registered and did some surveys of my games and I already earned enough coins and sent away for Game and Watch Collection for the DS! Anyone else excited about this?
  17. That's too bad. Looks like I'll have to return it. Anyways, I'll be opening up my gate in AC:CF tonight, 8:00 Central Mountain time. Anyone who wants to visit, feel free to take some of my fruit (and I'd appreciate it if you'd bring some of yours!)
  18. I would help, but I don't even know how to crossbreed flowers. Next week saturday a bunch of us should totally get together in AC:CC. See K.K., get some fruit, maybe fish and show off our rare items. Good fun!
  19. I got the wii version, but I'm having a hard time figuring some things out. First of all, what do you need to do in order to use a midi keyboard in the recording studio? Also, is it possible to use the drums as a standard midi drumset for use in Garageband? I have the midi-to-USB cable, but I can't seem to get it to work. Can anyone help?
  20. Yes! I could host, I have a ton of pear trees so anyone can help themselves. My time zone is MST. What time would work for everyone?
  21. Yeah, I got one of those, but it didn't seem to work like when I use my midi keyboard. I've also tried to keep the wiimote on by connecting it via Bluetooth to my mac, but...
  22. Sooo, I got GH:WT for Wii and I'm trying to figure out how to use the drums as a midi drumkit. How can I do this?
  23. Would Animal Crossing count? It's not really ever supposed to end.
  24. I agree. Good argument. Really, we should be grateful we can play games at all. Hey, we should see if we can get together saturday nights for K.K.'s preformance.
