  1. An update draws near! First, a couple commissions I've done. Sprites first. Old friend of mine who skates a bit. One of the writers for the ChipWIN blog, Chris Krogsgard. Still proud of that USPS logo on the bag that's mostly hidden in the final version haha (he's a mailman). Another writer there, the always excited Leah Oakes. And now for art stuffs. Vivi from FF9, as commissioned by Andy Goth AKA Unununium. This one was just for fun, no pay involved. Pretty proud of the result, even if the proportions on the face are a bit off.
  2. One more recommendation: tracer by coda Though only 4 tracks long, each track tells a great story. And the final track is sooo goooooood :3
  3. If you're not hating on Nintendo you're not an internet cool kid. So to everyone jumping on the Nintendoom bandwagon, thanks for being internet cool kids. Anyways, the Wii U definitely has issues. But the horrible 18% drop isn't as bad as it seems. Really all it did was negate the stock gain in December and put it back where it was at the end of November. So really... no change at all? But hey, better dramatize things and make it sound like a horrible drop! See, the thing about percentages is that they're purely relative on the overall number. If something is worth, say, $10 and it has an 18% drop, then it loses $1.80 of value. If something is worth $1000 and has an 18% drop, it loses $180 of value, which is a lot more. These reports, they're only reporting the percentage and not the overall value, simply because hearing 18% is bad, but they're neglecting to show how it compares to recent stuff (which that chart I posted earlier does).
  4. Have this majestic cake. And have a great birthday as well.
  5. Funny thing that. Here's a quote from back in 1999, regarding the N64's slump in Europe. Replace "64" with "Wii U" and "Game Boy" with "3DS" and it applies perfectly today. Nintendo's been doomed for decades but they've never fallen. Nor will they.
  6. Friends-only online would probably work better for cooperative games so you don't have people killing you endlessly because "LOL WHY NOT HURR" And the games that are coming with online rightly deserve it (like Mario Kart and Smash). I know the online for Kid Icarus: Uprising was pretty solid, so I have no doubt they'll make it work well for Smash and stuff. They can do it if they take what they've learned about doing it right and don't half-ass it.
  7. It's kinda funny that although there was an 18% drop, Nintendo's stock is still higher than where it was at this time last year.
  8. They still have enough in the bank to survive several systems flopping. And the 3DS's success certainly helps. The only reason the stocks slid is because of the change in sales forecast that'll result in an operating loss. If they had as little money as Capcom has in the bank, then we'd have to be worried, but with where they are right now, they'll be fine. And keep in mind that while the Wii U's fail to succeed as much as they'd thought is part of the operating loss, it's not all of it. Increasing R&D budget, hiring new people, buying new buildings... all that stuff also contributes to it. Really, the stock slide is because investors are worried. Any company that 's traded and reveals somewhat bad financial news (low sales forecasts and stuff) suffers similar stock slides. It's just how it goes. Plus that quote about how they need to fail more before they'll change is blatantly false. That article conveniently ignores another quote from Iwata regarding this whole situation that's quite telling. "The way people use their time, their lifestyles, who they are have changed. If we stay in one place, we will become outdated." If Iwata was truly as stubborn as people believe, we wouldn't be hearing this now. All the change in budget and stuff is to change, to find ways to fit in. They don't want to be left behind, so now they're figuring out how to keep up. Admittedly they should have already done this, but better late than never, right?
  9. So uhhhh... I think we may be getting a Melee-style Adventure mode, since he specifically states there isn't one like SSE.
  10. Well I mostly suggested those compilation albums because you should easily find something similar. I'd also recommend danimal cannon's Roots and Parallel Processing too.
  11. Check out the Chiptunes = WIN compilations, those are full of great tracks.

thought I should point the typo out :P

  13. Yeah that can get kind of annoying, I agree. I'm well aware that this thing was downloaded, you don't need to constantly remind me.
  14. Funny. Don't remember us mentioning Wind Waker for that. Simply stating that you don't need to go on the eShop for everything since the system does some stuff on its own.
  15. Some games are even downloaded automatically, like Wii Sports Club (though you still need to get the tickets for the individual events) and Wii Fit U info. I mean it's all free stuff, and you generally need to spend money, but still.
  16. I can neither confirm nor deny the eventual existence of a trailer.
  17. Well aside from some minor issues that have been resolved, this album's in its final stages. All songs are in, all art is in, everything (aside from some minor directorial stuff on my end) is done. GET HYPE
  18. This is amazing. Fantastic. Love it. 'specially dat X/Y mix. And the OverClocked Assembled 3-parter was awesome.
