  1. Why does asking for FL help on two different FL forums = spam?
  2. So you set up ACID to take input from your keyboard? Did you put a sound (synth or sampler) on the ACID instrument track you were recording to and set the MIDI channel on that track? MIDI isn't sound, it's only instructions. You have to send those instructions to some sort of synthesizer or sampler so THOSE THINGS can make sound. Also, I'm not sure you can export your MIDI songs stored on your keyboard to ACID. It's not an ACID issue, it's something you have to look up about your keyboard. You might have to re-perform them while recording in ACID.
  3. Well what kind of system are you running? FL Studio is a resource hog, and so is Vista, so you kinda have a bad combo there unless you have like an i7 or something.
  4. The battle system looks similar to Crisis Core. I'm not so pessimistic about this game.
  5. So we get unsupervised Rebecca Black now?
  6. She doesn't make the songs, Ark Music Factory does. Then they get her to sing it as doing a favor to get the incredibly talented youth into the spotlight. >.<
  7. Please contact me personally at neblixsaber@gmail.com or PM me. My buddy Chernabogue here is doing a Magmoor Caverns remix for my Metroid Prime project (no there aren't open tracks ). It's metal/hard rock or whatever stupid-specific subgenre of rock you guys call it. Anyways, his guitarist was Jabond23 but no one seems to be able to find him anywhere (he's also doing a mix so if you can find him PLEASE TELL HIM TO CONTACT ME or tell me where to find him). Since his guitarist is now MIA, we need a new one to get the guitars in his mix. Anyone interested? I would prefer not someone with only a little bit of guitar experience. Only respond if you have experience with recording guitars. Thanks, Nabeel
  8. You got me there. I noticed it too, but I felt like it was too trivial of a mistake to be an issue.
  9. I'm pretty sure that's not all that goes into releasing an album. 0_o EDIT: HERE IT IS! Also, if you release at a later date, it won't really be an "Anniversary" project anymore. That, coupled with the fact that there are other projects that are in line you might be waiting a year or two for Metroid's 25th to be released on OCR (when Metroid is 26-27). And I think someone around here is working on a Metroid Prime project that's he's more than halfway done on. Whichever is released first between the two will probably push the other back by a lot of time because there shouldn't be too much metroid in the spotlight. So that poor kid's Metroid Prime project will have to wait so much longer. D;
  10. This pretty much explains all of the problems I've heard with your production. You need some good headphones. Save up $80 for a pair of AKG k240 headphones, a lot of people recommend them and they get good mixing results. I bet you the minute you hear your own stuff on those you will be in shock. Trust me, listening equipment is really important, because you have to mix and master with an equal frequency balance and make sure things aren't too hot, too wet, etc. When you mix and master on ear buds (not even headphones, dude?), I mean EAR BUDS, you won't be able to hear half the problems that people are trying to tell you to fix. I don't think context of all things is the main issue with your music. You don't even need expensive mastering headphones if you're just a hobbyist. I mix on Sennheiser 202s (good quality, thumping bass and they're $30) and these REALLY color up the bass sound, but I've learned to compensate by adding extra bass to my mix so flatter sounding listening equipment will hear a more equal representation. I also ask my buddies on AIM for production advice.
  11. Pro tip: your listening equipment has a huge impact on the sound. What do you listen on?
  12. What doesn't sound good isn't your musical composition, it's your production, something less subjective and more of something you study and get better at.
  13. Thanks I can make much stronger electronic music now though, fatter, tighter, etc. So keep an eye out for my next sub.
  14. FIXED Purchasing Kontakt just gives you an opportunity to purchase everything else.
  15. It wasn't an FPS and if you tried to play it like one it was a nightmare. Shooting wasn't the idea, scanning and solving puzzles was. When you fought enemies and stuff you wouldn't fight them like in an FPS you would scan them look around and lock on to their weak point and SPAM THAT SHIZZLE (ice or fire or what have you).
  16. Then you could replace those options with another two (like Silk and Gypsy). It's a customizable pack. But if you don't feel like waiting to save up $850 or so, then you'd get more instruments with RA and it has the instruments you want (and Silk doesn't) so there's no practical reason to get Silk over RA.
  17. If you put pictures of all the judges in there it would make more sense.
  18. RA is an eastern smorgasbord. You get more instruments for your money, but I don't believe it has as many silkroad instruments as the SILK pack itself. The SILK might also have more articulations. I don't know this for sure, but generally with a more specialized library the less instruments it has the more detailed it probably is with the instruments it has. Not to say RA is not sampled well, my brother has it and it's incredible. I personally would just wait and save for the entire damn Composer's Collection and get Symphonic Orchestra, Pianos Gold, Choir Bundle, Storm Drum 2 Bundle, Silk, Ra, and Gypsy for like freaking 70% off or whatever. That's $865 I think while they're all normally over $2000 if you bought em together. Plus it comes with a hard drive. (a nice western digital 1TB. It's not caviar black, it's blue, so it's decent but not eco-slow like the green)
  19. I can't decide between Plucked Grand and Epic Tom Ensemble. D: Should I get both? EDIT: I think I'll try to get Plucked Grand because ISW is thinking of making a massive percussion library.
