  1. itt i sense more fanboyism than exercising! been keeping at my routine, and I can attest to progress in strength - which carries over to basically every other aspect of my life. I've thrown in a little swimming to keep things interesting (and to slaughter my legs while sparing my back).
  2. Gray being involved with the FBI or the government? A theory, but hardly a conspiracy, I'd say.
  3. aaah, are you being facetious? For some reason I'm inclined not to think so (if only because this is a far cry from the rough tone i've seen you take concerning wips)
  4. I've had both cable and DSL here, and for me, it's always said I'm from Irvine, which is only 20 miles away... considering how vast North California is, it would it least narrow it down to a county/area. I never thought about the possibility of him working in some sort of FBI/top secret kind of government position... but I imagine that it's a possibility. In that case, we'd probably have to settle with confirmation from family or friends that he is ok (lol, which sounds like a longer shot).
  5. Oh, right. For his old posts here, yeah...could even use the IP address to determine if he was honest about where he said he lived.
  6. I would've liked to hear more lyrics from Dazey, particularly in that EXHAUSTINGLY ANTICLIMACTIC ENDING ARGGGH!!! ...I envision a more epic ending with her singing something ...victorious while you rap about slaying something. Or maybe you could have just repeated your last stanza. But otherwise, I really like this.
  7. the IP address thing would only work if he didn't move or change ISPs. According to his story, at least one of these two has happened, meaning he'd probably have a new IP address. It could work, though, if he did log in with his new IP address. But if he's been spinning a yarn here or something... well, it's possible he hasn't moved even locally or changed ISPs in 3-4 years.
  8. since you've said you have such a busy schedule, i'd focus efforts on just putting out a polished video.
  9. Sounds like 6PM my time - I'll do what I can to be there, but even if I can't make it, I'm still eager to watch. And to participate in the next round.
  10. i mean how hard is it to string two words together enough times 'til it's coherent and thematic? life flies bardic pursuing within elysian high-fiving bled darkness overcoming what why nonsense!
  11. I haz first chapter of novel. Maybe I'll try to come up with a fairly self-contained chapter or something to submit.
  12. I've already expressed my thoughts on this mix in the FFIV project discussion thread. The rhythms, the syncopation, the emotions, the title - they all click for me. It's a bit of a deviation from what I'd expect in a FF game but I think in a good way, and regardless that's not an issue for me anyway.
  13. Maybe. ...I might make a facebook group tonight. With six degrees of separation, we can probably find someone who knows about both his real life and his internet persona.
  14. Still, if something bad has indeed happened to him, ...I don't know. I'm not a morbid person. I swear.
  15. Ah, how I get carried away with this stuff. For whatever reason, I live under the impression that once you become part of the internet, you can never leave. It's sort of like the Island from that one Simpsons episode. Just.. bigger.
  16. Unless he's living the life of a hermit, or in Antarctica, or certain parts of Africa, Asia, South America, Europe, North America, or essentially all of Australia, or he's (unfortunately) passed away, he must maintain some sort of internet presence. One does not simply enter Mord.. i mean, vanish from all of the gloriousness that is the internet. Unless he became a radical extremist. So he has to have some sort of account on some website, or at least use Google. Therefore, I propose these suggestions, or perhaps a combination thereof: Buy Google Ads, something like "Searching for the Gray Lightning" which leads to ocremix.org, or perhaps a secondary website with no traffic such that we can determine who is clicking on the link, at least by IP Tweet #GrayLightning on twitter till it becomes a trending topic. Facebook ads targeted at musicians, linked to said website All these ads... what about something akin to a magicjack commercial? (tv time on all major cable channels can't cost that much) where's #GrayLightning? :/
  17. there's a poet by the name of Alexander Gray. Scottish fellow. Wrote Scotland... and I really like the "flesh of my flesh/...bone of my bone" lines in that poem. Just more fuel for the theory that Gray Alexander was nothing more than a pseudonym. Perhaps s/he was Scotch, or s/he just really likes him/her some Scotch literature.
  18. I disagree with you here; I read it and I could hear neblix's style (perhaps even in an Aussie accent, which is always a plus), and the text-based smiley at the end was completely unexpected but I think it aided the delivery just enough to make it stand well on its own. And text-based smilies are totally rad. Almost like timbale licks. SURE.
  19. I was messing around with the 1.13 PTS, but holy hell - TPPK fix? wow... only took them a damn decade.
  20. A 1 point lead will have to do - congrats, sir. I thoroughly enjoyed and appreciated In Wait, mostly because I too am in wait (though I do know why, lol), and I would probably enjoy wiping my mind of loss and responsibility if only I knew for sure there wouldn't be a price to pay. I especially applaud the ending - how the doorway is perceived in its most basic shape initially, and how the reader shares the simple revelation that it's in fact a door.
  21. congratulations? ah yes, congratulations.
  22. it's getting closer! ah i'm excited... and choose to disregard the stresses of editing - i'll chock up your (shmexy) results to magic film and fairy dust.
  23. VirtualNES has been good to me... mostly. I've had issues in the past about not getting save state codes, or them not working. I'll give this a try.
