  1. Perhaps they're airing out of order for some reason or another?
  2. Except for the Egyptian theme I'd say Alleyway.
  3. Very odd - it doesn't work in the quotebox, but it works in my original post. Um - again for great justice? http://youtu.be/QTtrD3FlI70
  4. So, if this needs to be moderated and shunted from the forum, I understand, but I thought y'all might be intrigued by this 3D Zelda game though not on the 3DS: http://youtu.be/QTtrD3FlI70
  5. Final Fantasy 6 was the first (and so far only) full-scale RPG I've beaten. And that without a strategy guide. I was living in Georgia at the time and had really not wanted to move there from North Carolina, so I spent a lot of time seeking out Espers and such. The story, the characters, and particularly the music have stayed with me ever since. Uematsu has created a series of classic scores.
  6. Well, shucks... In other news, the original score is top-notch.
  7. As someone you've never met I will corroborate your friend's opinion with my own - it is indeed pretty fantastic. Regarding the ties to Iron Man, Avengers and all that, I understand that Oliver Platt's character is actually supposed to be that reference. He doesn't have a name, after all, he's just "a man in a black suit." And Moseph, who says Xavier isn't 17 when he gives his doctoral thesis? He is a pretty smart cookie, after all, eh? And they definitely tie it into the continuity of the first 2 films what with one particular mutant Charles and Erik try to recruit but has no interest whatsoever in joining them, as well as when Mystique briefly ages herself. And if absolutely nothing else, Bryan Singer helped write the story and served as a producer on the film, so this this was kind of his stepbaby or nephew - that is, not his own project. I reckon they're all pretending X3 and Wolverine: Origins didn't happen.
  8. So, I dunno how to do screengrabs from a 360, but the potato project that's about 3 from Chell's is "By Alix" - it says, "ELECTRICITY??! FROM A POTATO???!!!?" And has a bunch of hearts under it.
  9. I mean, it makes sense doesn't it? Consider the evidence: - Chell's potato project - she's clearly a daughter of an Aperture Science employee - GlaDOS/Caroline letting Chell go at the end; why?? - GlaDOS says she deleted Caroline, but then in her own song she mentions how "Little Caroline is in here, too" - the song sung by the turrets, when translated sounds like a song being sung from a mother to a daughter who's departing I confess, the OCR forums are pretty much the only ones I contribute to, albeit moderately, but on the Combine over-whatever wiki I didn't see the idea present among the bits I read. Not trying to contradict you, Gollgagh, I just haven't seen it presented anywhere else (again, I don't "get out much" when it comes to other forums though). EDIT: Mkay - googled it - it's all over the Steam forums. Heh.
  10. I concur. Okay - SPOILER THEORY BELOW****************** In white... Does anyone else here think that Chell may be Caroline/GlaDOS' daughter perhaps fathered by none other than Cave Johnson himself? ****END SPOILER THEORY**** Someday I'll learn me some spoiler-proof techniques...
  11. Those trailers look pretty sweet. So, am I understanding correctly that essentially it's all the same levels just 2 different ways of playing 'em? I think something like for the original Mario games would be cool - play SMB1 the standard way then switch it up and play it SM64 style. Doing that with SMB2 would be particularly interesting. Not making it a full wandering 3D, but how they seem to be doing it in Sonic Generations. I have this mental image now of the tank level in Mario 3, world 8 with all the tanks coming at you...that could be BA, y'know?
  12. You should write a book. ...if you haven't already.

  13. I do not have a Wii. The last Metroid game I played through was Metroid Prime. I see Super Metroid as being the pinnacle, the crowned jewel, the masterpiece of the series. Everything after it has been derivative. After lurking in this forum and then finally seeing that cutscene, I wonder if the makers of this game have even played Metroid. Of all the times Samus has defeated Ridley in the past - and even worse enemies - why all of a sudden would she freeze up? Granted that comes to me with no context, and strictly as a gamer, not putting myself in her shoes, first thing I'd do is switch to super missiles and drill that space pterodactyl into the ground. Then again, after two glasses of sangria I may be taking this all too seriously...
  14. So wait - do we have to buy these games to get it to work or just play 'em? I already own AudioSurf and would rather not buy it again...
  15. LOVE. THIS. ALBUM. My favorite, by far, with possible exception being "Relics of the Chozo."
  16. Legend of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link I don't understand the level of flack this game gets. It's different than the original, but it's intended to be - as opposed to to Super Doki Doki Mario Bros. 2. However - best sequel of all-time I'd have to say is Super Mario Bros. 3.
  17. The planks of the future!
  18. The Cynic Project!! This guy was one of the first artists I latched onto during the MP3 craze in the early '00s. His "Matrix [Grid]" mix is still one of my favorites, though I lost my copy of the original mix of it. Seeing his moniker now listed among the ranks of OC Remixers is a big deal for me. After I got all I could out of the music of his (that of which I could find) on the 'net, a couple years later I discovered OCRemix! I had a hunger for electronica, specifically dealing with vg remixes. I had no clue there was a community as vast as OCR and counted myself blessed (still do!) that was into VG Music as much as I. I've made an attempt at submitting, but I've since moved on out of the realm of musical composition trying to make my mark on the world with the written word. Anyway, this is really cool. I'm glad Cynic's still making music and this mix is fantastic! Takes me back on a number of levels - sophomore year of college, discovering all the great music on the internet through the magic of the original Napster (yes, there was a time you got music from it for free) - back to childhood in the source music - just back to a simpler, more innocent time when I heard music like this every now and then but had no clue how to get a hold of any of it for myself. Nice work, all around!
  19. BUMP So...my name on AudioSurf is the same as here: LuckyXIII - just started following some of ya. Is there a group on the forums?
  20. Today is OCR's birthday?? AMAZING! I've been with the site since...what, '02? Found it via some mixes I found in Napster. Did a Google search and came across this wonderful website/community. I can't remember what my first download was... Among the first DLs were the Kung-Fu mix by Lousyspy, GAUNTLET!, and one of my favorites still to this day, a Metal Gear Mix, Uh-oh! The Beat Have Started to Move! So yeah - happy birthday, website! DJP - judges - thank you for being such good stewards of this site!
