  1. Same. My opinion was always, "I can beat the final boss just fine without it, and the best part of this game is the story and character interaction, and if I speed through it I'll miss most of it, so screw that." No thank you.
  2. More Kate Covington is never a bad thing. Never. Her pieces are always gorgeous, and this one's no exception.
  3. I kind of feel that way, too. About the only time I get upset over dying is if I'm playing a ship that heavily relies on starports for survival/success and I can't find any for several sectors, and that's why I die. And that's more frustration than anything. Probably helps that ~75% of the time I'm not even playing to win, anymore - I'm just playing to see if I can accomplish some ridiculous feat I've set for myself.
  4. I think the spoiler tag should replace the affected text with an image of River Song smiling wickedly at the reader. Just sayin'. I would love to see a spoiler tag implemented.
  5. Right now, the bean counters at Capcom are sitting there, looking at the kickstarter, turning to each other, and saying, "Damn, $1.8 mill easy profit for this? Too bad we don't have a beloved sidescrolling adventure IP centered around a blue cyborg fighting other machines to the death, huh guys? Right? "Also, we all still agree that Mega Man is pure diseased rhino feces, right? Does anyone even remember what that IP's about?" Seriously Capcom, get your shit together and start producing good MM games again. Your stock might actually go up once a decade.
  6. Good to see this project coming to fruition! Congrats all!
  7. ...I'm just gonna let that one go... I, too, like my electronics on the durable/long-lasting side.
  8. Spot on, right here. Honestly, if I bought a new portable Nintendo system right now, it'd be this. I have no use for 3D, and I'd only use it around the house, or on trips in hotel rooms while waiting for my wife to wake up in the morning, so I don't need it to fit in my pocket. But I'm not really what it's marketed for - it's totally for children under 8 years of age, and is built to be durable and simple enough for them.
  9. Not to mention all the swag you can get by going to the Store link at the top of the page that ALSO helps support OCR.
  10. I'd have Square Enix quit their shit, quit throwing all of their money into pre-rendered cutscenes and hit-or-miss voice acting, and make a good, non-MMORPG Final Fantasy, a la FF6, 7, and 9. Seriously. Actually, scratch that. If this is a truly dream game, and you can have any publisher/developer you want, I would want a new Squaresoft Final Fantasy. Barring that option (or if I'm not allowed to use defunct/no longer existing publishers), I'd settle for a sequel to Vagrant Story produced by Supergiant Games. I think they could do some amazing things with that IP, even if their game turned out to be less grim/dark than the original was. I'd probably aim for it to be set far in the past, just after Lea Monde was destroyed.
  11. Agreed. Hence why I think DC/WB is so intent on getting him to direct the JLA movie.
  12. Hmm. For some reason I thought the Wii was sold at a break-even price point. Could be wrong though.
  13. ^ Granted, I personally don't think he's the best choice for the role... but he's far from the worst option. He's had several great performances, and usually turns out better-than-average ones so long as he has a competent writer and director backing him up.
  14. ^ This. I don't think they've made a console that was profitable in and of itself in, what, two generations? Three?
  15. Gotta say, what I've seen of the game looks pretty fun. Simple, yet with enough complexity to be interesting, and I think their pay model is pretty good too (for a card game). I'm going to definitely be checking it out further.
  16. ^ This. Though I'd be cool with it if they let you enter the UPC code off of your old cd case for a 95% voucher for that game or something. Mainly because I never throw away my cases, lol. (Except for FFT's, which I still maintain wasn't my fault.) Most interesting thing here for me is Planetside 2. There are barely custom-built computers in existence that can run that game well, so if the PS4 can really run it at a decent level then wow, good job. Unless, of course, this is a completely retooled-for-the-PS4 version, in which case all I can say is a) they'd better keep the two communities separate (or hear cries of "Well of course you play better than me, you're playing on the "easy version"!) and good luck getting it to grow without the currently established community.
  17. How the hell did this ever make it past the judges? The mixing is all over the place. Did you even use eggs? It's almost as if you'd never made a cake before. For shame. happy birthday stevo
  18. Sweet remix, man. I'd never considered Cosmo Canyon as having eastern ethnic remix potential, but it clearly does. Loving the Cid references scattered throughout.
  19. There's a great delicacy to the way this mix grows and shrinks again, as if a single misplaced note could shatter it and end it abruptly. I think the artist did an amazing job of capturing the deep emotion surrounding the great source tune and preserving that sense of loss, love and memory in this Remix. It's definitely a track I can set on repeat and just listen to for an hour at a time.
  20. That's actually kind of cool. Be sure to share it when she starts putting entries up (if she hasn't already).
