  1. Excited to see this finally get on OCR. I still have a WIP of it that I play every now and then - it's absobalutely friggin' great.
  2. I would listen the crap out of this if it happened. Also, I hope someone would pick Tifa's theme.
  3. Absolutely adored this (and Harvest of Rock and Stone) when the album came out. I've actually set my music player to repeat on just this song while at work and gone to town on a pile of paperwork for an hour or two, and it made it go by so fast. Top notch track.
  4. This would make me unbearably happy if it were to happen. There's a lot of things in X they could stand to forget, too. Having said that, I doubt it'll actually happen, so meh. Also, whatever happened to Agni's Philosophy? Wasn't that supposed to be a toe in the water to see how gamers took to it as a concept for XV, and wasn't it pretty widely liked? Just occured to me, going over my Youtube watch history and seeing it in there today looking for something else, that I've heard squat about that little gem since it actually happened, which makes me sad because it actually seemed like a breath of fresh creative air into the franchise.
  5. I almost said I would... ...but then I realized it was more specific shows I would miss (Game of Thrones, Parks and Rec, etc.) than the actual television. Back on topic: Gotta say, at this point the PS4 is the obvious choice out of it and XBone for me. MS'd have to do a whole lot of changing/improving on what they're offering at the moment, because it's such an anti-consumer product atm and that just makes me angry. Now, between the PS4 and the Wii U... that's an interesting conversation to still be had.
  6. I wish I'd had the money I have now when this was coming out. Or any period, for that matter. I would have totally backed it in a heartbeat. I will regret for the rest of my life not getting the $500 'Get someone to remix a track of your choice' reward. Still, this means ~2 weeks....
  7. Funny thing was, the instant I saw the three new additions to the cast, my first thought was, "Okay, now add Little Mac and Pac-Man and we'll be good to go." Even told my wife and two of our friends that Little Mac was the most sensible choice out of the remaining "untapped" Nintendo franchises for a new SSBs character yesterday night. I do hope to see both Pac-Man and Little Mac, although I'm trying to figure out what Pac-Man's moves would look like.
  8. Seconded, tbh. There's worse names they could've picked though, I guess.
  9. I think we have a winner here... until Sony lets slip that they're pricing it at $50,000. No, but seriously, how much is it? That's the last (potential) nail in the XBone coffin. EDIT: Just saw I missed the price announcement. $400... yeah, that'll do it.
  10. Quoted for truth. And this is a big part of why I don't buy games anywhere near to when they come out.
  11. Descent made people sick? O_o Huh, I guess I could see where it might... To the game: This is actually the first Sonic game in many, many years I've even vaguely wanted to play. It looks like they're keeping touchpad usage toned pretty far down, which also makes me happy.
  12. True, although the budget for those games could also alter that fact. A game budgeted for $50 million that sells 3.15 mil copies is a different beast than one budgeted at $100 mil that does the same amount of business. I'm trying to recall what EA supposedly budgeted toward SimCity.
  13. I'll settle for Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo spending 75%+ of their shows talking about the games coming out for their systems. If they do that at least, I'll be content. Although I'll give Sony more leeway on that, since they, more than Microsoft (and definitely more than Nintendo, for obvious reasons) will need to spend time talking about their console.
  14. Before I talk about the track, I've just gotta say that I absolutely dislike 99.5% of a capella music. It's not to say that it's a bad genre (although I've heard a lot of bad a capella in my time), just that I have a hard time enjoying it. Having established that, this easily is in the .5% - a fact that's probably helped by my love for the Bastion soundtrack, but even so. If I had one thing I would've wanted more from an a capella version of this, it would've been length - it felt like it ended too soon. Although, again, I felt the same way about the original, so that could be informing my view as well. If there had to be a "first" a capella OCR, I'm glad this was it.
  15. *cough*Oneexamplehere*cough* *cough*Andthis*cough* Though to be fair, it sounds like Capcom itself didn't necessarily have a problem with it, just the other publishers that turned the game down. As to the game as a whole, personally, I don't know... it's a good story concept, but none of the actual gameplay I've seen has particularly stirred my imagination. I might look into getting it on a Steam sale, but I think I'll probably pass otherwise and make my next purchase one of the many classics I'd still like to add to my game library and haven't gotten around to yet.
  16. Without going into specifics (and thus spoilers), I've always felt like immediately after this scene came a turning point for the "good guy" characters in general, and that for the most part things started going their way from this point forward. For a while, anyway. Seriously though, you will love the parts of Storm they haven't shown yet (admittedly working off of secondhand info as I haven't actually seen the episodes of this season yet, but I feel confident in my accuracy).
  17. Huge spoiler for those not up to Storm of Swords/3rd season, but this made me laugh for like ten minutes. https://vine.co/v/b3XZMHmxzxh
  18. I haven't seen this season (I have to wait for it to come out on DVD, bleh), but having read the books a dozen times apiece, watching last night literally had me giggling with glee.
  19. I gotta agree with Kyle for the most part here. I think the companies will keep trying to justify the $60 price tag to consumers, no matter whether there's used games or not. At most, I think we could expect to see them drop the price tag $5 and make a huge PR deal out of it, a la "You scratched our back, and good things happened, see? Keep buying games from us please!" and then slowly sneak it back up to $60 due to some other "issue" they discover. The game companies kind of created the used market as it exists today through their own greed, anyway. I've been told by several people who work at Gamestop that the sale of a $60 game usually nets them as a company, at most, $2-3 a pop, and it's been that way for years. That's outrageous, and forces them to find a new revenue stream... such as, I don't know, used games.
  20. Now that's aggressive! In all seriousness, nice work all. Looking forward to hearing the release.
  21. Quoting because a) I'm actually curious as to what the people in this thread think the answer to this is, and I have no idea what one would be, myself.
  22. I actually complain regularly about the stupid splitting of Doc Who seasons. Although I don't think I've ever done it online, to be fair. ^ This, pretty much. If she at least said, "Look for part 1 of episode 2 on this date," and then when that showed said, "Look for part 2 of episode 2," etc, I think people would be a heck of a lot more forgiving.
  23. Yeeeeeeeeeeeah... good luck with that.
  24. If this is true, then the Xbone is effectively shooting itself in the foot.
  25. Add two minutes for a quick, almost ashamed run-down of the rest of their launch games, and I think you just wrote their press conference for them.
