  1. CCR - Fortunate Son ending, and starting Kansas - Carry On Wayward Son
  2. Nice. Thanks for posting this.
  3. http://www.baldursgate.com/news/2012/03/15/announcing-baldurs-gate-enhanced-edition/ Wow. Never saw it coming. Maybe I'll finally finish it this time.
  4. My mind is quite literally blown. I'm no internet wizard, but could this be done? We have the technology. We can rebuild it.[/bionicman] I had the same doubts, but after seeing this, I really have no doubts anymore. How in blue blazes do they expect this to work? What about sites like Google, IMDB, Amazon etc? It's not like they're going to go local for every single country out there. Or services like OnLive or PS / XBox marketplaces. Or Youtube. Or this, or that. And what about sending emails? What, now there's going to be a digital equivalent of stamps? Not to mention that any and all anonimity would pretty much go out the window. In any case, I'm not really sure that all of this is (just) about the money. Because
  5. http://online.wsj.com/article/SB10001424052970204792404577229074023195322.html tl;dr Who the hell comes up with this nonsense? That bolded part is like a bad version of that bash.org convo.
  6. Asia - Who Will Stop the Rain Though I'm not really sure who's doing the vocals. It's a female singer (the same singer's on what's labeled as another Asia song, Lady of Darkness), and the recording seems to be lifted out of a demo tape or something.
  7. More links that might be of interest: http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-h3261/show http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-h3261/text (full text) http://www.opencongress.org/bill/112-h3261/money (for and against list) Yeah, let's build visible walls and fences. That'll solve everything.
  8. This. Thought that someone would mention them earlier. Also, The Longest Journey. It's a p&c adventure, not an RPG.
  9. BrainCells - FireMetal I wonder what the original tune would be like in a tango or flamenco-like arrangement. Anyone up for it?
  10. Portal 2 has a coop mode with more or less the same feel, wtih the obvious difference that it's a two-player game. It would be interesting to se a remake of the Vikings with a coop mode included, though.
  11. Maybe it's just me, but that sounds like something from The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past. Hyrule Field Main Theme, perhaps?
  12. Beautiful song, that. Three Dog Night - Joy to the World
  13. There's this: http://ocremix.org/forums/showthread.php?p=691342 Also, what tracks have you collected so far?
  14. My bad, you don't actually need to use VLOOKUP, because you could get what you want with just IF and CONCATENATE (and the formula is simpler): =if(concatenate(a40,b40)="value_you_want",g40,"") A40, B40 and G40 because that's where your data starts. And the formula assumes that you're always looking for the same value, no matter what. You could also put that value in a fixed position (for example AA1), in which case the "value_you_want" becomes $AA$1. I guess I'm a little late with this correction, but what the heck, you might find some use for it.
  15. Are you looking for a unique combo of A and B column values, and nothing else? For instance, 24 in A and F in B, and where those two pair up? If so, you might want to try a combo of IF, VLOOKUP and CONCATENATE. Something like this: =if(concatenate(a1,b1)="value_you_want",vlookup(concatenate(a1,b1),table_array,3),"") The third argument for vlookup is 3, because I'm assuming the value you're looking for is in the third column, C. Since you say you have about 15k rows, you might want to consider making a macro or something. So, in a way, this is a mashup of what both phil and Nutritious were suggesting.
  16. ^ Great game, but hardly obscure or underrated. This, on the other hand...
  17. Google ("sonic low" mp3) gave back this: http://www.khoiba.org/_old/disko/ Not sure if it's the thing you're looking for, though.
  18. I'm always interested in playing text games / interactive fiction. Hell, I'm still playing the stuff that comes out of that annual IF Comp (and the stuff that folks like Zarf / Andrew Plotkin, Emily Short and Adam Cadre dish out). IIRC, no RPGs there, just plain old adventures. The reason I failed to mention this in my earlier post is that I somehow got the impression that this isn't what you had in mind. That and, as the others have said it, the fact that there's not a big market for these kinds of games. Especially on various handhelds.
  19. Or you can make an RPG like this guy. http://www.ludomancy.com/blog/2007/01/12/an-rpg-without-space-hunter-rpg/
  20. He did drop quite a few. For instance, his remixes of Romancing SaGa, Mother 3 and Killer7 (plus Terra's Theme from FFVI) have vanished. I've been going through his site, and it seems that some of the missing tunes are for sale. In other news, Sword of Justice seems to have some remixes available. Check the Music section of the site for originals, remixes and covers (Ys, Brandish, Digital Devil Monogatari and what seems to be Knights of the Round mixed in with Imperishable Night).
