  1. Well, bummer. There was a major lack of communication within Energy Tank headquarters, and I was under the impression that one of my teammates was taking on the bulk of our track. Wasn't sure until now whether or not anything made it in. For that person looking forward to a song from us, sorry.
  2. I have been popping into the store once or twice a week for the last couple months barely talking myself out of forking over the cash to pick one of these up. Finally pulled the trigger with the Wind Waker set. All I've got right now is that and NintendoLand ($7!) My ID is Xarnax42. (Go figure.)
  3. As far as timing is concerned I think the right time to do an album is when 1) Someone cares enough about a concept to pitch it. 2) Interested parties make time to create the music. 3) That's it. If it just so happens that 5 different people start an album all from games in the same franchise at the same time, the timing is WRONG if they can't find people to cover all the sources and it's RIGHT if they can. Simple as that. If you think under-represented tracks need some love, pitch your project with a strong concept and lure those remixers away. I got you, mang. Generally speaking, I'm always interested in helping out anyone looking for a vocalist. If it's a style I'm not naturally suited for, I love trying to branch out and pull it off, and take no offense when you listen and say, "Ummmm.....no." Just want to add that whether its a genre I enjoy or not, I LOOOOOVE the idea of cohesive, niche remix albums, and I don't see nearly enough of them around here.
  4. I definitely plan to expand on this (and learn a thing or two about production (and get better samples (and...cetera))), but I'm really excited by what I did manage to get done. Subbed. And now passing out.
  5. Well, if Amph won't be that guy with you, I suppose I will. Two rounds of WCRG in the last 3 weeks haven't left much time for anything else. Will try and get a WIP going next week if nobody snatches it up.
  6. As usual, I'd love to be there, but am unavailable until 11 EST (EDT? I can never keep track) on weekdays. Night owls, unite!
  7. Try one of these. EDIT: Or, of course, technomanga.
  8. Well, production's rough, timing is loose, and I still want to add more verses, but I still think this might be the most promising thing I've ever done. Got it in with one minute to spare! Interestingly, I had the same problem as Tuberz - sore throat hasn't gone away since Friday. Saturday morning I was easily hitting C2 which is uncanny. Worked out great because it let me sing in the key I was already writing in. Might need to transpose and rerecord everything when I try to finish this. I actually won't be able to sing along to my own song. Since I didn't have time to get the vox as crisp I'd like, here's some lyrics for y'all.
  9. Well, I probably won't be able to wrap this up as nicely as I'd hoped, but considering I worked almost 60 hours in five days, I'm satisfied with what I've got. Should be able to add a little more substance and polish before I pass out. Hopefully my first attempt with guitar samples doesn't offend anyone too greatly.
  10. There are a few of us in #wcrg ready to get a listening party going. We'll probably get started at the top of the hour, SO GRAB THE MUSIC AND GET ON IN HERE.
  11. The only one I ever played was "Thy Dungeonman". Still a classic. Apparently, there are sequels, which I am going to have to go check out now.
  12. I know you said you weren't sure if the piano needs any help from the flute, so if that's why they may or may not happen, that makes sense. If it's an issue with Laura's busy schedule, you may want to see if bustatunez is interested.
  13. Jason Covenant's entry last round for WCRG had Michael Jackson in the freakin' title. I wouldn't be surprised if he wants to look that way one more time. Also forgot to mention (as if there aren't enough already) that I'd be more than happy to contribute vocals for anyone needing them.
  14. I think I have a winning idea for "The Street of Rage". Hopefully I can pull off something close enough in a week's worth of work to hold my claim. (Seeing as I'm up in the WCRG next week and all...)
  15. Thanks! Must say, it came as a bit of a surprise. I thought album mixes still had to be submitted separately for front page consideration, and Calum said he never subbed it. In any case, it's pretty exciting. Next goal is a solo mixpost. I don't get home until 7 PM Alaskan (11 PM Eastern). If people can manage to wait until that late, that'd be awesome. I expect that's probably a bad time for a lot of people, so I'll at least be idling in IRC and can read through the chat when I listen alone all by myself. Also, everybody - don't forget to vote for 3Penny Chorus and Orchestra tonight on America's Got Talent. DrumUltimA is the timpanist for the group!
  16. I'm still miffed at myself for not turning in something more substantial for Round 3, but I gotta admit, once it was subbed I've been looking forward to seeing what you guys had to say in some reviews. It was a pretty slow week for them, but thanks a lot therex, rnn, and KingTiger. Although, rnn, I'm not entirely sure what you meant by "You're a trooper." It sounds like a good thing, though. Right? I can go with that.
  17. After Monday's listening party: [17:46] <@DarkeSword> I'll be in Maryland for Otakon this weekend [17:46] <@DarkeSword> there may be SOME delays on sunday for source revelation probably safe to assume music will be running a bit behind, too
  18. Really nice variations. You may want to PM Chris | Amaterasu. Minus the cello, he basically is a
